Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Playing fifa has turned you all into gerbils. even tho i dont see it, must be the age, robotic movement are purely cosmetical anyway. thers even 5 different versions of running animations in the game afaik. show me something that does it better? then maybe ill move over to that game purely for the amazin runnning movements that make the gameplay so incredibly more fluent than pes.

and btw, ill never lay off maryjane ;)
i may be a pes fanboi and it gives me every right to defend stupid unfounded comments.

Join the club, in the sense of taking you serious that is. So far, Konami hasnt listened to whiners, and im a happy puppy. im a fanboi that manages to look past the cosmetic/physical and enjoy the game.

I remember way back when there was a handful fotball games to choose from, fifa, iss, actua, tif, etc. I clinged to fifa for as long as to fifa97 before i discovered iss. and never looked back. now the latest years its been a bunch of whining with every release, yet theres a handful that does enjoy it and manages to play the game spite its minor and major flaws. i wouldnt mind if suddently a 3rd big fotballgame publisher decided to show.
pes+fifa=would have been the dream i guess.

Please explain as to why you seem to come across as hostile?
Opinions are like arseholes, everybody has one, but that does't mean that you have to get upset if someone doesn't agree with you.
I also think I speak for the community when I say we were all once PES adorers, but as a result of several fuck ups by Konami ( which is not an opinion, but fact ) it is fully normal in this day and age that people dare to question them and be a bit sceptical...Spread peace and love and not swine flu:PIG::PIG::PIG:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Im not the one doing personal attacks here, who have I been hostile against?
If i did come across as hostile I apologize.
But with the past years as i mentioned, i find it hard to believe most in here are pes adorers anymore. They just want to rant on a game they cant play or something. then shadily talk about what fifa does better without coming off as a fanboi eitherway.
That fact you talk about dosent exist in pes09 for me, it did in pes08 tho. that game felt almost more laggy offline.

Online wise, PES sux of course, but it has for several years so thats a totally differ "ballgame". Konami wanting 20player online for pes10? ill laugh of that.

So if most of the whining concerns only the online part i can understand since online and offline pes has been 2 completly differ games. like pes and fifa.

peace out.

hard to believe that we were all once pes fans? for crying out loud, this forum is more or less a PES Forum(well used to be).

its the number one place for PES mods and discussion. most if not ALL people who first joined this forum, joined because it was a very popular forum for PES back the day.

times have changed and some of us who are not blinded and want realism in our sports games, opt and got fifa instead of PES.

make no mistake, you like arcade footy games while me and others like sim footy games;)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

What I do know is that PES 2009 is far better in pretty much every way than any PES or WE yet. It's realism, physics, and sheer unpredictability is as close to the real thing as you could hope to get in my opinion.

Yeaah PES08/09 is very realistic.

- Football is a passing game. In pes09 you can dribble and run with the ball the whole time due to the unrealistic balance of the players and the movement speed.
- The movement/animations are to fast and robot like.

Open your eyes......

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

right about what? PES is shit. yes his right about that. his also right that they need to make fifa10 better and not slack off like konami

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

EA may make it on the 10th attempt. I wish em luck.

Konami's also on their 4th attempt at next gen while EA's first next-gen attempt (08) was pretty much a solid one.
Opinions are personal, but this is just a fact...
I am very hopeful about next PES release, but I also was prior to PES09, so that don't mean wank.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

So far, Konami hasnt used any next gen power for any of their so called next gen PES releases. It still looks "dull" compared to Fifa. Which means they havent done anything spite their comments. To me it feels like a brilliant ps2 port, and they have yet to show us anything of what they CAN do with the proper power. So far its more of the "alot of unused potential" altho it doesent make me switch to fifa or stop playing pes.

For me it is different, my friend. If I play other games ( COD, Killzone and yes even FIFA ) I am immediately in a next gen environment in every way, shape and form. With PES, I am not.
Which clearly means that Konami has been lazy. Now, I am optimistic about this years edition, but it has to be said that they have screwed up on previous installments, which the PES community, rightely so, takes as an insult. We'll see, I guess:COOL:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

@Tykjen

I'm sure 9 out of 10 people on these forums are of the opinion that PES on the PS2 was much better than it is now on next-gen. I find it hard to understand how you can feel that PES next-gen is a brilliant PS2 port when it plays worse. But I respect your opinion.

I agree when you say PES has a lot of unused potential, because the series cannot get any worse than it is now. I am optimistic that this year will be a huge improvement, but Fifa is where it's at for now.

PES Blog

PES Kick off

We've just finished the first PES2010 announcement, which I'm really pleased with, especially being able to mention so much so early. Plenty to talk about and plenty more to come!

Before I get going with my first blog entry, just a brief intro. I've been at Konami for over 10 years. Life-long PES fan and for the past couple of years I've been PES Team Leader for Europe.

Our focus from now on is to put the fans at the heart of everything. The process started before PES2009 even launched and I've been collecting feedback since from some really valuable sources. Huge thanks to the fan sites and journalists who've been providing excellent feedback. Understandably some of the comments I've
fed back to WEP have been negative and many users have questioned Konami's listening skills. My job this year and looking further into the future will be make sure the voices of our fans heard and push for their feedback to really impact on development.

It won't happen over night, but I have to say that honestly I've been impressed with the way the team are listening.

First Blog Entry from the PES Team

Hi everyone.

Welcome to the start of our PES blogs. Let me introduce myself. I'm Naoya Hatsumi, PES Producer and I'll be bringing you regular behind the scenes info on how we're getting on with PES2010.

It's a bit manic at our Tokyo HQ at the moment. We've got short and long term plans for PES and Winning Eleven and for several months we've been reorganising
internally to make sure our baby really grows. We've got different teams working on different aspects not only for 2010, but well beyond. We've got ideas how this needs to happen and thanks to feedback from Europe we know what is important to you. It's a great start but we have to keep the process going.

So our first announcement is out. We've tried to give a good general overview to the development without giving everything away at once. We'll be adding more details and explaining improvements in greater depth in the coming months.

Since the beginning of April, Tokyo has been enjoying cherry blossoms. If they had missed sunshine, rains and the chill of the Winter, they would not have come into flower. We've got the inputs for PES we need, which will take PES2010 into bloom this Autumn!
