Too late Seabass already sent poo in the mail to other sites....it was called PES2008. lol.

I still love Seabass though and I miss TG..... ;-(

News sounds very promising cant wait to see the trailer.

I know being led by media hype and marketing press releases isnt very popular among those who agree with the saying "the proof is in the pudding" but somthing does feel different this year

I have never extensivly played the next gen versions on my own only round my mates houses playing some tournaments but of course iv never been pulled away from my ps2 versions.

but somthing tells me we are in for FINALLY a truly great effort from konami and a start of somthing amazing (pes 2011/2012 will be the pinnical i think on next gen) about time too I think the so called trailer will just be a slight glimpse of gameplay but mostly what we have seen messi pics and mo-cap stuff but its all looking good from where im sitting cant wait

For me, you have Konami admitting that 2008 and 2009 weren't up to scratch, when last year you had them praising 2008 and saying that they were building upon it's success.

Also that Messi screenshot actually looks like a marked shift, whereas 2008 and 2009 screenshots were quite hard to distinguish.

I didn't have the time to read the whole thread. About the motion capture thing, that's really some good news, but I doubt it will be a unique motion capture for every player; just a generic technique applied. I wish I could see Ronaldo running with small rapid steps, or Henry's large strides, or Aaron Lennon flapping his hands in a funny way when accelerating. These things are 100% possible with the technology available today (imagine a football sim developed in CryEngine!). But are maybe too much for KONAMI. I believe it would certainly add to the realism. Dribble styles are not even close in replicating a player's running animation. I hope things change this year. For the sake of the PES legacy.

Yes this place has gotten even more dire-er than I had previously thought possible. Although I would like to attribute this to me not posting for what must have been a total of 5 days max., it's down to lacking anyone with any actual news. Instead what we have is people reposting stuff from WENB.

So great. We hounded out the only guy with actual contacts and sources whom has served the community for nigh on a decade, yet fuck him because we hate TG rawr, how could you do this to us?

Now we have no news. Great.

So congrats on the Konami balls-esque everyone. We now have a PES site with no one to deliver us actual PES news.

But I'll still loiter about round these here parts. You can't get rid of me that easily, I'm like a particularly virulent strain of herpes.

Why do people release podcasts and then sit there smug saying "we cant tell you anything" Well why make the fucking thing in the 1st place.

It's the whole "contacts" bollocks and the "we know everything but ain't telling" nonsense that they whip all the fanboys up with every year.

Each to there own but I find the whole thing a bit "look at me getting the info before all you cretins, and then not telling you"

They do get a lot of kids on there who do tend to go overboard and hang on every word, but I'm finding it better this time round Cammey, they are upfront about what they can and can't say...

They have to work to NDA's like everyone else. They don't withhold information on purpose. As for contacts - well most of the rumours on WENB turn out to be true so they must know some reliable people out there.

They have made mistakes in the past, like over-rating the last two games, but they've admitted they were wrong. Personally I'm glad WENB exists, because any site that is prepared to go out and work hard to establish a relationship with Konami in order to get news and exclusives is a good thing in my opinion.

These people know everything because they have contacts. They can't say anything because of the NDA. You know this, yet you've gone the petulant child route of kicking up a fuss because these people wont contravene said NDAs. Something that, if they did, an almighty shitstorm would ensue. Why, if you were TG, WENB or anyone else, would you put yourself at risk for something like "There's a trailer tomorrow"?

The build up should be a laugh, with horrible arguments broken up with intermittent news, now it's a wee bit of an echo chamber. Hopefully the trailer today livens things up a bit.

somebody already said its gonna be short but sweet. so i have my doubts.

My guess is it's going to be a short, pre-rendered video based on the motion captures they made of Messi last week. They just had to wait a week to polish up the video because the gameplay is far from ready, because that's what we're going to see today; just glimpses of gameplay to get the fanboys' balls wet for a week or so until the news dries up again.
