Well obviously its an old build, However Konami confirmed its a newer build than the gamescon one on Pesfan.

I wish people would realise "old build" isn't a valid excuse for the core of the game being crap.

I think the outdated nets are an indicator that this is an old build. Wonder what version the consoles demo are. Boys over at wenb did not sound very enthusiastic about their more recent code copy. So I guess there won't be much difference after all.

never any way to please PES fans, there will always be a point that someone holds on to, to critise the game...be happy u got a demo real early, they normally release it 2 weeks before release date but have done it 4 weeks and still ppl not happy

Old code, new code...... my head is hurting. The fact that the demo is out much earlier than normal suggests to me that perhaps this is not lastest code as it takes time to put these demos together.

Whatever, I'm happy with the demo how it is and if this is old code then even better.

Different people want different things though. I've read someone's review complaining they didn't like that you couldn't dribble through the defence with Messi like you could on 2009, if Konami read that and acted on it, making it easier, it would be terrible for me as it's not something I want.

Who's the 'real' fan? Me or the fella that wants the easy dribbling? I'd say neither of our opinions are any more valid or worthy than the others as that is all they are opinions. So I'd say it's far too simplistic to say that Konami just need to read a forum and bow to people's wants and needs, I think they're better off just making the best game they can and implementing what they think feels and is right.

little question for those of u playing the demo now:

Are the untucked shirts seeable on the playing cameras? or do all the players look the same?

The ball physics is pretty bad. The ball stops to fit animations, like it has a mind of its own. So scripted and unrealistic.

Just had a ball take a wicked deflection after a 50-50 challenge, the ball had some serious backspin (looking at the pattern of the ball) and the way it almost stopped dead on it's first bounce and then started moving back in the opposite direction after the second bounced look so realistic. Had something similar happen again with a deflection off a player's shin that gave the ball heavy sidespin.

its about opinion at the end of the day

i personally think its a better pes 2009 with superior graphics going by the demo and i'm reading these "wow" "amazing" comments and I just could not feel that when I was playing, fair play to those who love it, its their opinion and are entitled to it.

Yeah, just read Gab's reply. Matter of opinion I suppose.

I was talking about some very realistic ball movements resulting from deflections when, in this case, the ball was moving freely with no players in playing distance. Looked great to me.

I don't know about you lot, but the demo, f**king funtabulous, I take back everything I've said. Ball looks and feels great, graphics mind blowing(wide cam tucked shorts though), and screamer shots are all around.

2 new dribbling moves I noticed is the video posted above, and Dpad 2x in any direction will do a new little trick.

Response times in the demo are questionable though.
