Looks interesting to me, but so did all their talks about PES08 too.
New superb engine and super smart AI gameplay etc. So fooled I got.
Instead of smarter AI, like they say this time too, I met a super smart AI.

Anyway, still optimistic. The ML (and now BAL) is something I hoped they improve a lot for a long time ago, except from the gameplay wich is terrible.
PES6 was the last good game, but it has to be far better then that. When playing PES6 back then I actually felt it was a good game, cant say same about last two PES games.

ThomasGoal has to do this.

He is pretty much an integral part of each and every PES build up. You have to learn to love him and his riddles.

Obviously he can't undercut Konami and give away all of their secrets, but he's guided us for so many years (such as with the motion capture here) that going through this without him would be a lot less fun.

Will PES 2010 be worth buying this year, and is it what diehard PES fans have been waiting for after two long years?

Yep i think thats what we all really want to know, Please tell us its going to be an improvement on the last two years very poor efforts!!!

Hmm well my "inside" contact tells me to expect news about PES by at the latest September time. But he also told me these wise words "Don't, don't, don't believe the hype"

Personally I'm expecting another one of these loosely PES related thingies, kind of like with the blogs. Nothing directly related to the game.

Also I was wondering the other day. After spending years of hunting down each and every tidbit regarding Pro Evo, when I eventually get the game in my hands, I forget about all of the supposed additions and just play and see what I find different.

The added feature which stands out for me is that of replays. Probably because I craft glorious nuggets of joy with my playing style and I cherish being able to admire myself.

Other than that, I can't think of any big improvements that have had a lasting impact on me. BAL has the potential to do so if they develop it properly, other than that, meh.

I think ThomasGoal said that the news is not really news. So it is not the announcement of an early release-date, because that would be real news.

i am guessing a CGI trailer

The real bad news is they are releasing a PS2 version so it still wont be the game were waiting for like PES 3 was.
When they made PES 3 they had dropped the Playstation version and concentrated on the next gen PS2 version from scratch with the new game engine etc.
