My first post in 2 years :P Thanks Ronaldinho, I hope you are really a safe source, because I was about to start crying with the meristation playtest report, almost ruined my night :(

I'm pretty sure it's 2vs2 as it was played in PES6 (and they're using same netcode and stuff from 6)

and I can guarantee you that 2vs2 matches are WAY better than 10vs10 or anything like that where noone cares about their position and it looks like dumb football, 2vs2 is another story, they were super exciting as your cooperation really counted and better pair won.

Ah yes I remember 2v2 on PES 6. It was very enjoyable. However Konami clearly stated that the PES 6 netcode would be used as the foundation and would be further built upon. So there is still hope for more.

A lot of people enjoy 10v10/Clubs on FIFA, hence BillyBoy asking about it... Don't knock it unless you've tried it (with decent players on each side)...

My pleasure to translate:

The beta tested by Meristation and other sources is old, Etoo is at Barca, and uses some old images like Messi's/Etoo's heading the ball, only for filling the review.

Obviously the 360 degrees are not in that beta, it should be the same of the tactics video released by Konami, in which only Messi features the mo-cap animations.

Dont worry or let down about this, I say this seriuously, if any web does not say this today (Monday), on Wednesday @ Gamescom you will be surprised really...

Good graphics, seemingly good online modes, all it needs now is 360 movement (very likely), proper next-gen animations (less likely) and better gameplay than PES5 (doesn't seem likely).

Well, AT LEAST if the online is fixed, is a decent game. Looks very nice the online options!

I think PES 5 can be reached gameplay wise, we must keep in mind it was not perfect;) Just try playing against China/Saudi Arabia e.g. :D

I'll find out myself on Wednesday:P

I wonder if the BAL has more then one division now?

Well guys... I hate to burst anyone's happy bubble, but sure...

The stadia look great.
Graphics are very pleasing.
UEFA and 2vs2 (at least) online is brilliant.

But, the robotic animations are still there. That's a huge letdown for me... I hope the gameplay is at least simulation-slow.

Where is that said? lol He said SOME animations were still looking robotic, he didn't said which ones, or how much impact it really has.

Well, I hope that "some" is the rare ones you hardly notice. But from what I understand, the dribbling and turning of non-star players is still robotic.

Anyway on WENB they're saying that even though the pics are new, the gameplay build they were playing is old (didn't even have 360 movement).

It was me saying that at WENB, and isn't exactly like that. Based on what Ronaldinho said, seems obvious they mixed an old playtest report + old pics, with new pics (Eto at inter, for exemple). Also, having some robotic animations atm doesn't mean they aren't yet to be fixed for final version.

+1, best post of this topic, this year they finally seem to renew instead of improve and listen to what the players want. they are on the good way.

But... they were about to lose a chunk of their fanbase. This would make sense if they were doing just fine post-PES2009. If anything, this year, producing a massive shift in the game was the only available option.
