Another rant coming up..

I seriously have tried everything to play a game online! I can connect to opponents (although so many have a red bar) and start the match. But no longer than 30 seconds in i get the dreaded message "Connection Lost with other player". The most bemusing thing is that i have allowed all traffic through the router, disabled all network connections i dont use, disabled the software firewall. What else can i actually try to make online work for me? I had no problems with pes6 or any other online game!

Theres only one thing i thought might affect it and that is i had interleaving disabled on our connection. Dunno if it would affect it this much, but as i can said i can play any other game fine. Im clueless now what to try, i was hoping someone on here might have some ideas for me?
 
this may sound like a dickhead question, but how do i get online. i always get an error when i try 2 get online. do i need 2 create an account??

please dont flame me, as i thought id support the creators this time and buy the game whereas before i didnt.
 
I have the same problem, if anybody have an idea, please let us know.
all the other games work online....
 
"Drugfree" Have you registered with Konami? When the DVD splash screen appears click on register online. I had the same problem when I first tried to connect online.

I'm having that problem playing around 30 seconds of a game and it disconnects me i've tried everything. I'd maybe like someone with a good knowledge of pcs ie firewalls routers etc and has pes2008 workin to remote assist and try and sort out my problem please if anyones willing reply to this and i will pass mu details and do it thru msn.
 
just try to play with your dvd inside, not with any crack, my friend had same problem and now it works
 
for some reason my dvd rw wont recognise the disc didn't with pes6 either. I've had to drag it onto me laptop as i have know discs large enough for it and copy it to 2 discs
 
This whole disconnecting straight away thing is doing my head in!

Jollyroger, what version of windows do you use? I will post my specs to see if we have anything similar..

OS: Windows XP Home Service Pack 2
BB: BT 8mb (Currently interleaved)
Router: Netgear DG834g (All ports open)
Firewall: AVG (ports open)
Network Card: Nvidia Nforce Network controller / Marvell Yukon

Cant think of anything else connection wise it could be....
 
I have fixed all the settings, enabled all things, all ports open et.c but every time i play i got after 5-10 mins "connection to player lost". What the hell is the problem? Have done the "on top" thing and winsock.

Yup, that's a new feature in PES 2008. It's called "guess were the ball is" to make the game more challenging online.
Some people also refer to it as "We crap on the customer because we don't care".
 
whenever I try to connect to a user with 1 or more green bars, wether it's 'friendly game' or 'ranked game', I keep getting:

"an error has occured. could not access"

in other words: i can never enter a match room!

when i create one myself, i can wait for ages, but nobody joins me (which they probably can't either).

i've been trying this since the day that the game came out, but it never works. it's starting to piss me off reaaaaal bad by now! what the hell is wrong?? am _I_ doing something wrong?

also i noticed that there are no online competitions anymore. that was the most fun part of pro6 online.
the pes 2008 online mode is CRAP.

anybody know what's up???
 
i got the same problem, i tried nearly everything, opened ports........
i dunno what to do

my specs:
Win Vista Home Premium
Intel Centrino Core2 Duo @ 1.8 Ghz
2GB Ram
GeForce 8600M GT
Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN

Ok i have the solution for all those with connection lost problem!

This is from someone on pesfan.com forum so credit goes to him.

I used the latest beta 169.09 drivers but you need the 163.69 drivers. This will cure your problem!
 
Can anybody else confirm that this graphics driver change works just updated mine the other night so i would think i had that one before and it didn't work for me.
