PES 5 Master League Revisited

ollywolly

Oh when the Spurs...

Well, a combination of my gaming laptop breaking, me being sick for almost a week and a longstanding love for PES 5, has recently brought me back to the game, as I can still run it on an older laptop.

I've decided to do a Master League with Cadiz CF using the default Konami option file and document it here and at the following site: http://cadizml.weebly.com/index.html

The site tells the history of Cadiz, has player profiles, match reports, match videos, a photo gallery....everything really (as I said, I've been sick, so I've had a lot of spare time)

I hope people enjoy it and are maybe inspired to play PES 5 again.

Highlights of first pre-season friendly versus Osasuna

Pre-season didn't go too well. After the Osasuna game, Cadiz lost 3-1 away at Ajax. Match report on the website.

All is set for the big kick off

My introduction to the match report for Matchday 2, the Andalusian Derby between Cadiz and Sevilla:

Cadistas, the name given to fans of Cadiz CF, are considered the friendliest and most jovial fans in Spain. To them, the occasion is often more important than the result, as highlighted by the famous Cadista chant: "Alcohol alcohol alcohol, hemos venido a emborracharnos el resultado nos da igual!" translating - "Alcohol alcohol alcohol, we came here to get drunk and the result doesn't matter!"

This does not hold true when Cadiz face Sevilla in an Andalusian derby. Just like any derby, there is great rivalry between the neighbors and alcohol takes secondary importance in the pecking order, because in this game the result really does matter.

Haha :D I also used to record and gather all info about seasons I played. That way its more than just playing a game and then forgetting about what happened. But the thing is I think its only fun for YOURSELF watching it afterwards.

But yeah I watched some of the game reports and its always cool to see that more people like to make their soccer game into a wider experience ;)

Nice to see that I'm not the only nerd on here. Great thread, man! :)

Thanks for the nerd remark, haha. But yeah, as xSaiko says, it gets me far more involved in the season, rather than just playing a game.

I've kept my website updated but not posted here recently, as there haven't been many highlights to show. Lots of 0-0 and 1-0 matches even though I'm playing 20 mins. My team is pretty poor but I'm enjoying the challenge. I'll definitely post good goals and an end of season compilation here though.

Do you guys still play PES5? I know some people are, as there are still a few patches being made.

I was just curious, when I go back to PES5 I generally look for Watson's V4 (start of 06/07 season) or V3 (winter transfers 05/06). I find the newer patches aren't up-to-date enough for my tastes, but Watson's is incredibly well done. I don't think V4 is available anywhere anymore, though. :(

Great goal btw, I absolutely love PES 5's "shoot from anywhere" feeling.
