PES 2021 Denuvo Heartbeat Servers at Risk of Being Shut Down Before July 27 EU Ruling . Interesting Development To Follow!

If you're comparing PES pages, regardless if patch or not, I can also show you the following PES 2021 PC related page, which is just of a country with 50k members.

I hear you Dragovic and I also enjoy PES 2021 (with the 2006 downgrade patch)! :)

But those large regional Facebook groups you're mentioning now, like "eFootball 2021 Indonesia" are pages that people joined years ago when the game first came out.

They have no engagement and most of those people moved on to groups like "eFootball Indonesia" with 125K members

The pages I mention (FL26, PES Infinity) are active patch communities that people genuinely follow and engage with. One is run by the patch team, the other is a community group, but in both cases that's where the discussion and interaction around the content happens.

Right now PES6 patch communities are still getting engagement levels (800+ likes per post) close to the official Konami eFootball page 1.7K+ likes) while PES 2021 patches like Football Life get 67 likes (on a pinned post) or lower

Outside of the scripting community here on EvoWeb, I think the backlash Konami would face if they shut down PES 2021 for casual Steam players would be relatively minimal.

Especially if PES6 develops a stronger scripting scene in the future, potentially with an RLBot-style AI bot toolkit or similar systems supporting it. Even now though, its not going to create a backlash for Konami.

Again... I don't get comparing these numbers, I dont wanna promote anything here but I'm myself on PES 2021 modding Discord where it have 19,089 members (mostly brazil but its also for english speakers) so that's a lot, and posting this "comparision" in PES 2021 editing forum is crazy.

I know the Brazilian Discord and it's focused on sharing mods from PES 2015 to PES 2021. Its like a warez site.

Even with Discord communities like that..... I still don't see the wider zeitgeist being invested enough in pes 2021 to create any meaningful backlash against Konami if they were to disable the game

PES 2021 does not have any notable Facebook Group communities, Discord communities , Online server communities, Telegram European communities or other forums like PES Retro etc outside of Evoweb unlike PES6

I think the approximately 1,100 games like PES 2021 that unfortunately had kill switches embedded in them (a visual reference might be some sort of A.I.D.S disease) and which 93.5% have already been shut down and killed forever. Many of those games were also cracked and in some cases the communities likely believed they were safe as well. Denuvo has not been defeated or fully removed from PES 2021 and the encrypted parts nobody can say for certain what they do.

So far we've just been lucky and that luck has to hold out until July 27th.

It is precisely this group that leaks pay mods

I think this discussion is so pointless here

I wonder what this thread is doing in the editing forum if you're just discussing active user numbers xD

If the moderators feel the thread would be better in the general discussion section I'm completely fine with it being moved.

Just posted it here as it relates directly to the future of the PES 2021 Editing Section and luckily everyone in the world involved with pes 2021 is here in this section :)

Yep, now that's a fair comparison to take. But even if this hypothetical situation of Denuvo games being unavailable happens, I personally would go with either PES 2013 or FIFA 14, because other than being responsive games, I want them to look the best as they can be.

I think this discussion is so pointless here

Completely agree

For me this a pointless discussion... with a lot of alleged future technical issues that not exists and which should not cause the game's editing world any concern whatsoever...

so... don't worry be happy

May the force be with you always :D

I read somewhere in this forum, that Konami broke down a project from tiers to develop sever to play PES 2013 online.
Anyone have more details?

This group have done some research and tracked approximately 1,100 titles like PES 2021 that unfortunately have kill switches and this group found that 93.5% have already been shut down and killed forever.
So, where are these games using Denuvo that have been killed and can not be played anymore? I've never heard of that.

Now you could tell me that people would be coerced to move onto consoles. Few years ago, that would make sense but with recent developments in the world, console prices are going up. There is an attack on working class right now, all over the world, that is intended to steal every penny of theirs through inflation, made up wars, tariffs and laws that support billionaires. Basically grocery prices are increasing a lot which means people have less money for their hobbies and a lot of PC users, might just not afford to get a console right now.

Konami would be happy to pay Denuvo server costs in this case.

The lyrics were seriously ahead of their time… honestly one of the few redeeming things from PES 2009 :LMAO:
