Well, trailers always show goal scoring opporunities, never midfield passing. It's impossible to judge from trailers if there is going to be frantic CPU pressing or not in Pes 2018.

I find this a bit disturbing.

Whichever game it is, if it's a FOOTBALL game, it shows that their focus isn't exactly realism, is it. Reminds me of the days when you could unlock fucking dinosaur costumes.

If you can't get an actual FOOTBALLER to promote your game, then, Jesus Christ.

Really hoping it's a previously secret athletics game...

yeah. i dont know what to make of it, but dont you remember when Bolt (via twitter) wanted to do some training sessions with borussia dortmund!? maybe it has something to do with that.
im with you on the focus thing! konami should get the prios straight!

It's only PR, Chris.
PES was at it's worst when they had Messi as a cover star.

You know who would be great? Totti.

I never liked PES having superstars like Messi and Ronaldo as cover star. Gotze was better. PES nerds cult heroes...Totti, Litmanen, Bonucci, Silva, Modric...that kind of players.

Bolt is not bad, he is a symbol of true football love. The biggest athlete in the world who dreams of becoming a professional football player... Hewouldn't mind playing for Blackpool or AFC Wimbledon.

i can't agree with that. The other names you mentioned atleast played football. Bolt doesn't!!
i admire him as an athlete but having someone like that promote your football game doesn't make sense.

I agree. You know why? Because he's a footballer!!

How bad does it look if the only people you can get to endorse your game A) DON'T PLAY FOOTBALL and B) last played football 40 years ago AND tried to sue you?!?!

If he's in the game I'll be really annoyed, especially when you consider that Konami aren't bothered about who ends up in your Master League (and what if he's locked for editing). Imagine losing in your ML to a Bolt hat trick...

And to be honest, he'd deserve it... Atalanta (which by coincidence is the team of the city I'm from) did a miracle this year, their best season ever.
 
Well... Bolt has said many times he wanted to be a football player.
And you can do just that in PES' Become a Legend.

Maybe that's what they are teasing with Bolt. Major changes to Become a Legend. Or a response to FIFA's story mode... something along those lines

It's gonna look odd if Bolt is the cover star of Pes 218. . . .he's hardly an ambassador for the game . . .unless they mocapped him for sluggish forwards.

it would be ok to promote BAL but if he is available like a legend or icon that would a be unrealistic. he never played football and even if he did, he never reached those heights.
i really want my sports games to be realistic or atleast try to be

Heading to E3 tomorrow. I probably won't be on the forums its going to be easier for me to give live updated impressions on twitter so follow me BMan @Bryan_WENB

I'll try to answer questions on their as well for you guys. Obviously from the past we all know the demo is going to be different than E3 code and then the final game will prob be diff from demo so I can only give impressions on what I played. I'm going to stay away from giving it a score or really giving E3 code a review because I don't know how much time I will get with the A.I. and for me sports games should be reviewed a month or two after playing to judge longevity and this is where A.I. really comes into play.

Hopefully I am pleasantly surprised!

Enjoy yourself and i quite understand your post. If i would have the chance to play an unfinished version of the game, i'm not sure i would review it here, if you consider the flak people who did that, have got in the past...

It's Obvious that the E3 version will be different from the Retail version or from the Gamescon one...sometimes it's totally different, sometimes Gamescon and Retail are merely a step up...

Will do. When I went to E3 a few years ago I think the excitement of meeting Konami guys and forum members and playing something totally new had an impact on my early impressions. I am much more grounded this year and I have met all the people there so I will be much more level headed and will be as honest as possible.
