PES 2018 PlayStation & Xbox Discussion Thread

I would also love an option where ranked on line game are only to be played full manual....:-) it would be good for the community. Wanna show u are a good player? theyn play full manual.

Me too.
Sometimes if you are lucky you find full manuals players on online leagues PS4. But mostly it´s dead, which is sad.
But I can understand if one doesn´t want to play full manual.
It took weeks for me to get used to it and I had to force myself keep playing that way, even I went back to assisted so many times.
But now I just love it and never wanna go back.

I even play myclub online games with PA0 against assisted users. I just turn shooting to assisted.
Out of 10 games, they are about 8 or 9 that I really enjoy.
Of course sometimes you get paired with users playing ugly...

Actually, sometimes I even see playing manual passing as an advantage against an assisted user.
I can pass into directions which my opponent is never able to.

And people still say, that PES5/6 was more defensive, slower, had more build up play etc... :D Wake up, guys, finally wake up and dont wear those PES5/6 pink glasses, its ridiculous. PES5/6 was the same end to end counterattacking stuff like PES 2017 is and PES 2035 will be.

Yeah, man, looks really arcadey, but you had to play it.

Oh, wait...

You guys are like a group of grandfathers talking about the same topics over and over again, telling the same stories, and reminiscing about how good their generation was when they were young and how screwed up everything is nowadays.

I just can't see any sense in this anymore. LET GO OFF THE PAST. Or at least talk about it in its own Thread.
I'm tired of coming to this post to see videos of PES 3, 5, 6... etc.

why does it bother you so much, didn't you play these games, how old are you?
i still love watching vids of these game. they are still the benchmark.
if you've played these games, you must know why we fell in love and why we came here and are still here.
why grown men love and play a game that will forever link them with their childhood. the great nights with their buddies
the only thing that bothers us all, is that we expected more, more because of what we had back then.
just like @curdstar said, looking back at videos, may make the game look arcady but you had to play it to understand what we've felt, were we have been and why we are still here.

Nothing wrong with a bit of nostalgia, but yeah old PES games were really attack orientated online. You guys surely must remember how everybody in PES 6 would play as Brazil with a 4-2-4 formation consisting of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Adriano and Robinho. If it wasn't them it was Inter. That shit was everywhere.

Of course I played them and I loved them. I'm 30 by the way.
But this is the PES 2018 Thread in case you haven't noticed. So one would expect to find Videos, Screenshots, Information and talk about PES 2018. But instead, there's always a PES3/5/6 related talk going on. So my suggestion to you guys is: If you cherish those games SO MUCH that you can't hold back from talking about them and comparing them, why don't you do it in their own Threads?. That's it. I'm not trying to be mean, but you must put yourself in the next man shoes and understand it can be annoying for the rest of us.

I'm more than glad to debate what you see/feel about PES 2018 when you watch the videos or read informations about it, but let's be done with the "back in PES golden times" or "back in the hey-day" or "In PES 3/5/6...", because it just doesn't add up, it doesn't help and all it does is derail this Thread ALL THE TIME.

I used to think Superleeds was being too harsh when he said he would ban the people who kept going off topic or fighting, but now I'm starting to believe he was right. It's just boring and tedious. I would much rather come into Evo-Web to find 0 new posts instead of having two new pages of PES 6 discussion in the PES 2018 Thread.

Backing up what Chuny said there, I have said before we have threads for everything, why be so inconsiderate to populate the PES2018 thread with off topic conversation when everything has its place?

Be aware we are seriously thinking about locking PES2018 thread unless more on topic & meaningful posts are made.

@Chuny you don't understand that finally we talk about PES 2018. It's nessesary to compare some elements from older games with the new one.

When i talked about old PES games i showed the elements of the new titles that i don't like, and how in older days they implemented them better. And it's the same company btw.

I used to love the old PES games and did try to play PES 5 last year, horrible with the 8 direction movement as is PES 6 video above. PES 17 for me slates it even though fouls are few and far between. Must say ive found some new love for PES 17 using PA1 and advanced shooting now i have a hang of it. This is what i will start with in 18. Way way more shot variation than manual and i still feel a sense of achievement in scoring

yeah, that's exactly the way i saw it and since we are waiting for some news on the newest release it helps to kill the time in the proper thread while waiting. since it's against the rules and i don't wanna be banned and also don't wanna annoy anyone i will :SHHH::SHHH::((:((

Yeah me too ;)

I find it hard to find any latest news because everyone is always talking about PES 5 and PES 6 here. I mean I love them to death and I find it better than PES 2017 but I always want to know any news that I missed about PES 2018.

Guys,

New podcast up with Adam Bhatti. Some good info and insight into 2018 and development as well as future of PES. Hope you enjoy.

Just listening to it now. It's very good and I am glad you asked him about unlocking the time of day selection in cup games for bestlloyd. Very happy it has been unlocked for master league. Continuous night games has put me off PES the lest couple of years

Also, BETA in 10 days

The game needs to see fouls given for collisions, irrespective of whether a tackling button is being pressed. There also needs to be an improvement in getting midfields to clash, so the ball can't just be passed around without players coming into contact with each other.

Contact + fouls based on nothing more than contact = a much more realistic and interesting free kick system.

Just thought I'd add that the game already does this very well for aerial challenges, when I first saw a free kick given against an aggressive aerial tackle I nearly went mental with excitement.

My only issue with fouls is penalties, I asked Adam about this on Twitter and he said they were working on it for 2018, naturally

Curdstar .I caught the last 2 of your live matches last night live .. .good fun the Arsenal guy wasn't a bad player good match.

Cheers mate. Aye, the Arsenal dude wasn't bad at all. Uber-stacked team but he did use them well. Just wished I tucked away both the Hamsik volley's; the one that would've seen me go 2-0 up, and the one at the end that would've been nothing but consolation.

That last video looks good. I know I said that I didn't like analysing the game but it's amazing how much better the game looks when nobody's playing as Barcelona
