Now that kinda shots melt my heart.
Standing shot and the striker was blinded by the defender. Lovely. Imagine if these 8/10 times like that but once/twice u can bend it in with Beckham eg.

Note also how the shot went high/wide. And I am not being funny but what you are hoping for is currently, based on my analysis (which is actually a touch lower) the average success rate of a first-time shot: 25%, if we were to take that type of shot in the video 8 times and it would go in 2 times out of the 8 attempted. 25%

Seriously, I'm not being funny. I agree with you for the most part in this instance.

Sound like it is played to the tune of an MJ song:

Speaking of tunes, I honestly think the music for the E3 trailer was one of the finest tune selections Konami have ever paid out for, but then that could be because I love French dance/electro music. Just something about the way the French go about their dance music. The likes of Daft Punk, Stardust, Etienne de Crecy, Lifelike, Alan Braxe, and others have produced some of the finest dance/electro music of the last 20 or so years...

still playing friendlies on 2017 until the demo drops and at its best its a really playable game had some fun with it tonight messing with the AI tactics setting them up right can create a nice challenge cant wait to try the new difficulty level on 2018 this year I think im going to go with SPAL in serie A with the objective likely being avoid relegation

hope some more master league news or videos show up over the next week

I guess that a lot of people would like to see something about ML mode...

Actually made up with PES 2017 last weekend after I finally accepted it wasn't PES 2018 and it wasn't going to allow me to play it like PES 2018. Win, win for me really in that I can still get some enjoyment out of the game, even this late in the day, but know that what I thought was far better is not too far off in the distance now.

Actually scored one of my finest goals in a Coppa Italia final the other night and I will now definetely finish off what will prove to be my final ML campaign before I start playing PES 2018. Master League, for all the criticisms thrown at it and the game surrounding it, is like drugs to me if I get in the mood. Maybe a lack of additions simply isn't an issue for me, as I can oftentimes just get completely immersed in the overall narrative. I have no problem being ignorant to the modes weaknesses because I'm filling in the blanks myself. That isn't to say I want no changes or improvements, I of course would welcome them, just that it isn't a big issue for me for now.

I guess I am just one of those dudes who sees a regen Buffon and I'm like: "Fuck it! Whatever! It is Buffon's son. Who did my side (who rose from the depths of Serie B, with 8 out of the 11 in the team Italian, some of whom played through that traumatic first season, naturally) draw in the Champions League?"

Oh, and I hope ML never loses its quirky charm. I play PES to avoid it replicating what I read, watch and listen about the game off the field in serious tones. Instead just want an interactive, light-hearted, near tongue-in-cheek "adventure" regards the "universe" it is set in, but actually a really rather engrossing, competive and realistic playing experience on the field. Those two extremes in approach to the game dedign, them being partitioned off from one another, simply works for me.

I guess what I am saying is that I want a bit of almost daytime soap-opera like balance. I want to switch off a bit mentally, but still want to find myself focused and interested in everything that is going on.

I want Master League to be... like "Neighbours", I suppose.

Please God no. There's enough drama on this forum. I don't need chairman Alf telling me his son's fallen off a ladder and he'll never play Aussie Rules again.

It'd just be nice if your fringe players put in a transfer request, that's all. Or if the form arrows took match ratings into account (so Joey, the chairman's cousin, isn't depressed after scoring a double hat-trick).

(That last one has been a personal wish of mine for 10+ years, and that's why I understand some of the ever-present and, IMO, justified frustration when it comes to PES - just not the way it's expressed. PES 2018 won Best Sports Game at Gamescom and under the announcement on Twitter is a flood of comments saying "how about you celebrate by showing us more player ratings" etc. - how about you celebrate by not acting like an entitled prick, mate? Let them enjoy winning an award, let's at least give them that.)

Anyway. Logged in past my bedtime to post this. Not from Gamescom, but. Bloody floating goalkeepers. They're everywhere.

I really have nothing against PES winning Gamescom's Best Sport Game award for 4 years in a row. That's actually how long PES has been showing signs of recovery. However it's not the recovery we all want. Not in all areas at once. It always take baby steps. The safe ones. I'll take that any day instead of going all out trying to start a revolution every year, changing engine more often than needed, etc. Ever since PES 2014, they have been improving little things. But the things I had as priority on my agenda. I am now sure that next year ML will get the changes we all have been expected. And probably we won't see a lot of improvements in the graphics part. I think this is the limit as far as graphics, so the time they've spent on graphics, they can probably spend it on new menus, better presentation.

I've already written a personal note of some sort, with all the things I want to see improved in PES. ON and OFF the pitch. I will check them when I get the Full Game and write off those I think are already good enough and keep/add the ones I see fit. Then I plan to talk to Adam about it. Privately if I may. I don't want to go down on him like "hey everything sucks!" I want him to just check what I came up with and see if he can get anything good out of it. If not... well hey, can't blame a man for trying.

Ideas never hurt.

According to Adam Bhatti in a podcast, the demo does not necessarily represent the game.
Demo's are made by a separate team than te developers and that is (according to Adam) the reason why sometimes they don't give a good idea about the retail version of the game.

He said this as a reaction about the splendid PES2015 demo. This IMO was the best PES i've ever played, but the retail version of that game was totally different...

I will download the demo, but will it give an accurate idea of the full game? Don't know...

I always thought the Demo was a "Snapshot" of the game with restricted features that was taken at a specific stage of development? I know the classic PlayStation Demo discs used to say "Doesn't represent the quality of the final product" so I guess that is still the same today.

the podcast was before gamescom, right!? at gamescom, i have that video, he said, JUDGE THE GAME BY THE DEMO! it sounded like he's done with the 70% talk... konami dont want to make that mistake again.
so to me its final code and only a small day one patch will add some small improvements to the games features.
well, i dont know for sure! :) just my thought on this.

Terrible graphics, terrible palate colour, terrible antyaliasing, terrible chants, terrible presentation, menus etc......If demo looks the same a will never buy this crap. Keepers animations looks bad too. Game is so outdated. Maybe i have problem with my eyes.....:)

I think all of that stuff looks okay. It's the shooting I'm worried about again this year. It hasn't been very good since the PS2 days, in my opinion.

The podcast were Adam talked about the demo was last year, i think. Certainly not this year.
But he said it Always happens that way.
Making the demo is seen by those developers as a chance for promotion.
Compare it with a squad player who has to play in the league cup in football...he wants to prove himself...

I hope the guys who made that demo are in the development team now...

I think you're being overly harsh...

However

Pitch textures still look terrible

Kits are too bright and cartooney still by looks of things

I am trying to stay away from videos

man... you have to stop it.... ;)

Actually... not that hard to do.
I almost gave in once or twice. And my nervous system collapsed for a few minutes.

But here I am!

I think it was for PES 2015 demo, Gerd.
We were coming from PES 2014 Demo which many many fans praised and loved, and then the full game was different. Lots of fellas were very disappointed. So the year after that everybody was questioning how that was possible, and that's when Adam said that a small team works specifically on the demo.

It's open for interpretation though. I never took as if that team was actually going to change features of the gameplay for the demo.

awesome videos...every year gamersyde post 1080p 60fps videos of Pes.. this year they have 5 videos (5 halfs of pc version). Downloadable from their site via bittorrent :)... they look amazing... don't worry about the youtube versions.. these vids play so much smoother/better.

Btw, I know NZ normally gets demo first, followed by Australia... does it come out 12am 30th August NZ and Australia time (2hours after NZ)... or is it released 30th US time???
I'm actually moving house on the 30/31 so the last thing I'm packing away is my ps4, modem and cat6 cable.. and a small pc monitor.. so I can dl the demo on the final day of available internet at the house I'm moving from.. itll take about 5 days to get an isp/net connection at my new house..so.. talk about cutting it fine.. hahahah these are truly anxious times.. and a pes2018 demo on the ps4 would truly make my day/move...

Function over form. The pitch and the players are a big UI and I want clarity even if it comes at the expense of realism. I want borderline cartoony contrast levels for absolute clarity. I don't care how accurate it is (or isn't) or how much it looks (or doesn't look) like it does on tele. I want artistic license utilised so as it allows me to sit and play a game for hours with my eyes feeling relaxed and not having to strain. The pitch surface and contrast levels of the kits were perfect for me in the beta... day or night time setting. That won't be the case across all stadiums and lighting conditions, but so long as none are particularly objectionable or really uncomfortable to play in I don't care.

If it were up to me, every match in PES would look like a Spain 82 or Mexico 86 broadcast regards colour and contrast. I'd even have the sound and commentary the way it was back then, and even have that "transmitted from a foreign land" filter over everything.
