Before making a better texture for grass, we need someone to increase the contrast of the mow patterns! It's way too low and it looks horrible during gameplay camera.

Currently I'm trying to learn PES modding, cause I'm desperate for increasing the mow pattern contrast.

You seem to be as obsessed with Pitch/Turfs look as much as I am. That's a good thing.
Please upload a few screenshots of real life football matches (day and night) of how you would like the pitches to look, and I will try my best as soon as I start editing.

Please upload a few screenshots of real life football matches (day and night) of how you would like the pitches to look, and I will try my best as soon as I start editing.

Honestly, I think this year we can get away with just increasing the mow patterns and tweak the lights a bit. Cause the vanilla light looks good.

I think, some stadiums have dull day light. Not all stadiums should have pure green pitch though. Some stadiums should have a yellowish tone pitch [Talking about day pitch].

Also, nice to see someone noticing the dull mow patterns I thought it was only me.

Yes, although I have been working on a ReShade that makes them a little better. Or a little closer to what I like.

I don't know if it will rock your boat but I will upload some screenshots later.

is there a way we can "up" the contrast?

I know that when I "up" the contrast within the game it really does a world of difference on the grass textures

but id love to do it via just the grass

is it something where WE would have to edit the grass texture by improving the contrast on the texture?

I feel that the pitches need to be probably 15 to 20 percent darker and have any and every part of the yellow hue removed.

Need a fix for versus Mode

temporary (mad) fix by konami, go in exhibition mode, select two teams and the player profiles that you need to use on versus, go until strip selection, then go back to versus mode and you should be able to select these two profiles , but you need to that any time you change your opponents, i guess (not still tried), but at least you can play

Sure. But personally I don't like reshade unless the vanilla game is way too dull. PESS 17 was too dull and reshade worked best there. Here on PES 18, I just wan't high contrast mow patterns. Something like this:

There are ways with sweetfx that we can remove a certain color completely. Ive done it where ive removed say the color olive from battlefield etc, but I agree with you if we did this with sweetfx it ruins the rest of the game which pes 2018 is fine in its color overall. but not grass

I admit the rain day color of the grass is nice and san siro during day is ok but overall the grass has a very quick way of bringing out the yellow

I say remove the yellow from the actual grass texture and then heighten the contrast of that textures mow pattern.

I ended up putting my display port into my tv and using ycbr444 instead of rgb and it made it a bit more crisper tho.

has anyone figured out how to make your defensive line stay low? despite putting all settings this way they still are getting caught with through balls in the middle of the pitch in the most ridiculous way.

would love a patch soon so I can play the game without turning into an angry German kid

having 18 shots 9 on goal (score only 1)and opponent has 3 shots 2 goals, wins the match. his keeper is superman, mine is retarted.
trouble is the script doesn't only try to prevent you from winning, it wants to humilate you.

Top player? I see very little scripting tbh, only slight thing was conceding 2 deflected goals which I had not previously seen on lesser levels.
That aside top player is winnable & am enjoying it at that level.

Disagree 200%, you should calibrate your monitor or watch more football match on TV. The grass color is pretty good this year, some pitches need to add more yellow color, some need to tone the brightness down ( especially 3 licensed stadiums), some need to tone it up.

very close to uninstall the game.
got robbed again by konami. no matter how good the gameplay is, being an exclusively online player I'm disgusted by their pay2win tactics. coin buyers get assisted in winning matches again.
last time when this game was enjoayable online, myclub didn't exist, you were able to buy the players you wanted , not forced into a roulette of shitty players for your hard worked GP and there were no microtransactions.
games agains coin buyers are turned into a mess for non-microtransaction bs. Your teamspirit might say 99 ,but it 0 at best. their keepers are supermans while yours are plain idiots.
and it is not my imagination...coin buyers are easy to spot - game is 2 week only,yet their myclub rosters are full of stars.
konami's greed is what it will always keep it behind EA. no wonder it always gets distroid salewise with such despicable tactics.

I don't like to play against CPU. 5(virtual) minutes into a match vs CPU and I'm bored to death.
Makes me uninstall it faster than the scripting in online modes.
Even in myclub there's nothing more excruciating for me than completeing vs COM challanges.

I seem to be able to defend reasonably well against AI. Scripting is always going to happen with how limited AI technology is at the minute. It's how you adapt and defend, once I Sussed out the basic goto attacks for some AI teams, believe me, they started attacking me in different ways. It is satisfying in my mind, superstar difficulty. Will put it up to Legend when it starts to get boring but I'm loving it.

Does anyone know of a decent patch or option file that has just the updated kits? One that doesn't affect online. Cheers!
