It just puts them in a "hall of fame" where you can look back at their achievements.Yo!
Im playing the game for months, but i still dont know whats the Favourite player option in every season. What it gives for me and for the player? (never played more then 3 season until now)
It's a very typically Konami useless feature if we're being honest...

Pretty useless, but actually a nice addition if you like to get past many seasons in one career, or you change teams easily.
