PES 2016 News & Discussion Thread

That Tevez running animation got me so worried! Will they EVER improve the jogging, sprinting and dribbling animations? Damn...

hey guys been a minute, been busy with real life, just checking in on the annual hype train. I was not particularly impressed with that teaser trailer, it looked over saturated to me

over hyped, not excited, need gameplay footage, we've been in this situation quiet a few times, and been let down, waiting for gamplay footage

I think the focus this time would be on game modes and collision system along improved visuals (grass, lighting).

The focus last year was on gameplay and therefore now they have to shift the focus a bit.

I won't be getting my hopes up too much just based on that trailer. Night games look to have better lighting (from what we can see) but that moment where Morata celebrates seems to have the same daytime lighting with no texture on the grass (Asim's screenshot looks better than the video played at normal speed) and the same overly dark shadows and overly bright pitch. How the hell can anyone play the game properly like that.

Anyway, let's wait and see for the "full" reveal. I hope the nets move and that it looks a lot sharper on the Xbox One. That would be a good start lol.

Thx a lot. Very interesting to read and I hope his assumptions turn out to be right.
I´ve watched the trailer a few times more and I have to say that it really ain´t bad.

Highlights for me is the lightning (looks like night matches will have a better touch) and the grass that flies around when Neymar takes a shot (I liked that in FIFA 15 already).
Also that slide from Chellini on a wet ground looks good.

About the nets @ the Morata scene:
Well I wish the nets would be more realistic and not that steelcage type like before (still taking PES 2011 as a comparison, cause the nets were great there imho), but for me it´s hard to see that nets seems to be better. But I´m hoping.

And I also hope that the stuff we see here is not too much extra polished just for the trailer, but the real ingame stuff.

Not hyped yet but I could feel something growing for a second... :D

Some different nets ?

My thoughts exactly...

...but this gave me hope that maybe, if nothing's changed graphically, maybe the gameplay has had all the focus?

Please please please Konami...

This bit here.

And this is where we get our first glimpse of PES 2016 footage. It’s a close up of Neymar’s back (he is the new cover star after all) and what a back it is. No, seriously, look at the detail on the kit. You can almost reach out and feel the fabric. The lighting looks good too, but more on that in a bit. Oh and Queen’s We Will Rock You starts to kick in. Great choice of music.

Feel the fabric? Feel the pixels more like :CONFUSE:

That Raglan seam once again. So '90s.

I know, if this was 10 years ago, ok, i understand with the small canvas size but EA have produced much better looking kit textures than that way back in 2010/2011.

The Brazil kit looks poor. Mainly because of those dreadful grey lines, rather than a proper sewing seam which isn't hard to time consuming.

If they have a team to focus on irrelevant things like the fabric, there should be no excuses for giving us a real deep ML

the problem with PES in 2014 and 2015 is in the gameplay is like shit not the graphic, maybe the graphic in 2015 for PC wasn't good because the released the game also for PS4 and XBOXone in the same year so they wanted to make it different like EA did in FIFA 14 the graphic for PC was bad but for PS4 was good and in FIFA 15 the graphic is the same for PC and PS4 and that's what konami will do in 2016 ... of course the graphic need improvement but the gameplay is like shit

Well in my opinion the size of the canvas is not really a factor.
I mean, you managed to put accurate seams/stitches and patterns/fabric types on 1024x512 kits (PES 2010) and they're 1/8 the size of what we have now.
Daniel__Juve makes 512x512 PES6 kits and they're outstanding in terms of quality:

See for example the difference between the thicker Raglan seans and the normal ones.

It's just a matter of not being a**ed or a matter of not having enough time/people to cover all the kits with proper details.

And, as also shown by this thread, it's not something that the average player (@Jimi_Zuko: no offence intended) cares about.
It's just us, the ones who mod the game, that care about these things.

I don't care too. The only graphics i care are pitch textures, 3d models, lighting, stadium details, crowd details from gameplay cam.

Yep.

I've said before that there was one scene thata resembled PES 2015 way too much in terms of visuals, and thats exactly the Moratas celebration scene.

I really hate that daytime lighting in pes 2015, makes the game have a cartoonish look.

Lets hope that the visials are more like the rest of the trailer, wich for me it looks really nice.

I know, i really didn't want to go there, the point is i'm not even asking for Daniel Juve quality or even what i do. But there is nothing stopping Konami from doing good seams apart from giving the art directors a kick up the arse.

I think using us modders isn't the best idea because they will use that pathetic excuse (we have all the time in the world, we have do so many kits) Despite the fact we do it for free, they are being paid and have a team of people to work on different aspects.

I think the best example is that Real Madrid kit from 2010 (FIFA 11 PC) Its far more detailed on a tiny canvas size and done by EA!

Its like they have remained at the same quality for 10 years now.

Its the sort of thing most people don't give a shit about now, but i think especially next year and looking at games like the witcher and other much better graphical quality games people will star to question as time goes on.

Re: PES 2016 News & Discussion Th

About gameplay, wich is the most important aspect of course, one of the things that I most want to see getting a lot of impovements is the AI defence in terms of convering the 1-2s runs.

I dont play online games much, but the non stop 1-2 runs in PES2015 completetly kills the enjoyment. At least online, the AI is simply bad at convering runs, so 1-2s becomes an easy exploit, and it also makes the game look unrealistic with players always running right after every single pass from the midfield to attack( lit looks silly as hell). Im not sure if that is also the case for offline games when played on higher dificults with a smarter AI.
