PC PES 2014 discussion thread

why do you guys waste time on this crap of a game and amateur and unprofessional company?

we have pc football titles that deserve attention: pes 6, pes 2013 and fifa 14.

this is just a waste of time on another load of BS.

Is not the same thing playing a old game today if we can play the newest one tomorow.

Good news.

Adam doing his best guys. Lets show him the PC base is large in numbers yet supportive.

I bet they saw the ruckus their initial decision to buttfuck PC was making and made up some poor excuse. Now they're working their asses off to mash together a PC version.

If this was a transition, that means only have one team working on a update? :CONFUSE:
Maybe 10 workers?
Hey konami give me a ticket to work on japan for pes 2015. ;))

Sorry for request. Anyone can post Diego Costa stats (and skill card) from DLC 5.0 please? Thanks for help

Seems to me that Konami devs have logically put priority on consoles for WC and patches (where the most income is coming from - business sense, lets face it how many people seem to crack on PC here?? what do they expect?) ... and they then focus attention to take that in s stripped form to PC platform after all console is sorted out.

I agree its disappointing how they seem to want to the the "EA thing" as regards PC focus, I cant see justifying the delay on transfers though (a bit inconsistent) but it seems in all sports titles thats the trend becuase of the sales. Although despite everything its nothing a patch mod cant sort out.

I would have liked to have seen PC included in World Cup DLC fully and I would say that does dishearten me a little as I came from 3 years of EA's aproach and thought this may be different as they care to make next gen for PC other than EA. Although despite everything its nothing a patch mod cant sort out.

Oh well it seems they are both locked into the business of priority and so I will see how things pan out for next PC updates. Its a shame becuase I think Konami esp on PC have something over EA (next gen etc) and they just need to capitalise on it, they dont have the same budgets and of course PC platform with less sales = less focus, NBA2K has the same thing too.

Slowly rather than forcing myself to get a console, I will stick with PC platform and simply stop buying sports games at this rate. Although I am holding in for what Konami bring in 2015 to decide that.

I had enough with EA, they may have the budgets and the licensing and the bells and the whistles but "on the pitch" Konami really have something, I just hope they expand on it better. I can imagine theres a lot of pressure they created for themselves now for pes2015, I would think there are many make or break things to happen for them this year even more than last.

I cant sing praises for both parties these days, but all I can personally say is I have played far more PES than I ever really did with EA despite the bells & whistles missing as its all been flexibility of lick to player or play all and "on the pitch" for me. I have removed Origin and all installs of EA now as I had 3 years to make my mind up on them.

Konami for football sport is the last link for me, 2015 will decide if I ever get a sports title again to be honest. I really hope Konami claw back something releasing end of this year as I lost hope with EA (I mean they can even bring new engine to PC which I feel is worse overall than anything else, despite all the good things you take take from fifa).

If you could take the bells and whistles of career and menu of Fifa and have engine on pitch of PES (with more tweaks and updates naturally) I would be very happy. Im not as pissed off as many are here, but in the long term its a tricky one for sure.

The news at the moment are that KONAMI is considering going exclusive on PS4, but nothing confirmed yet (due to low sale figures).

Totally agree. PC is by far the superior platform with this new generation. Especially given Steam service. And if Sports games, which I love, have to be abandoned because developers are stupid then so be it.

"We think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem. If a pirate offers a product anywhere in the world, 24 x 7, purchasable from the convenience of your personal computer, and the legal provider says the product is region-locked, will come to your country 3 months after the US release, and can only be purchased at a brick and mortar store, then the pirate's service is more valuable. Prior to entering the Russian market, we were told that Russia was a waste of time because everyone would pirate our products. Russia is now about to become [Steam's] largest market in Europe." KONAMI Forget to read the small letters in the contract.

*EA Sports will demand the konami updates and the licences without any excuse for console/pc exclusive fans.

You are absolutely on the spot. PES 2014 came out on steam on 12 Nov 2013. A month and a half after the disk release.
I personally believe that if they focus on improve the features they implemented this year (MASS, Heart, etc.), implement just a few innovations - instead of putting allot of concepts, with no time or resources to be proper implemented, like in this year version - and massively improve the online modes and online connectivity, they can have a good sales on PC, because the core of PES 2014 is very good, so I believe the PES 2015 could be a absolute gem and bring more people to the franchise.

Each year the same statements are made, "next PES will be a gem if they improve, this and that."

Sorry, they never did improve one thing and not destroy some other stuff. FIFA will be safe for long time though (not because PES is worse game, but due to frantic fanbase, complete product, fun career mode, varied online modes and tournaments).

The 1.10 patch should be released shortly for PC, hopefully same applies for the Data Pack(s).

last in line but the line looks a little shorter now.

Well they will be safe on console, not so much PC where there's no next gen implementation, this is where I switched to PES and mainly speaking about PC. Lets face it its called "fifa" and that's the body that governs entire football behind it, so of course they will have longevity over a separate software house, larger team and ability to support online aspect .. esp with income from FUT).

If Fifa team looked at PES in terms of anims AI and visuals (and for PC) I would look back at them for sure. I dont really miss all the other fluff with FIFA becuase im not an online player and just like to have something resembling real football on a screen in a sim aspect "on the pitch", fifa doesnt do that and thats where PES/konami has something that they better capitalise on this year otherwise its a real shame.

Well, despite is flaws, PES 2014 has a very good core and if the new patch have fixed the shooting, dribbling, CPU AI, etc. like people have reported, I think we have a great gameplay, and that is what I was talking about. PES 2015 should be a great game, at least on the pitch, without any screw ups - there's no excuse, second year on the new engine, just keep improving what you have, maybe bring old assets (namely player ID), weather conditions, more stadiums, and other things of that nature.
For the rest, I'm not very optimistic, given Konami history. They do the hardest things (tactical prowess, freedom of pass, graphics, etc.) but it seems they cannot gives us the basic, like offline competitive mode, a good ML - in PES 2012, they had a good mode, players complaining, etc. and for some reason have ditch that - and online modes.

I found the DLC 5.0 and the World Challenge DLC from XBOX 360.
I just send to jenkey's blog.
A hope for unlocking the DLC on PC offline. :APPLAUD:

I don't believe that the patch 1.10 or any other important DLC will be released for PC...

We are still waiting 1.04 DLC with January transfers...

I say I won't wait gor this patch. If it does get released, it better be really good or it won't be enough to get me back to 2014. I've been playing 2013 with klashmans tactics and boy, its soooo f#€@*%g good. Despite all fancy animations theres something out of balance on 2014, and also I've never seen so much depth in gameplay like I've been seeing in 2013. Maybe the patch proves I'm wrong.
