I'm not quitting Konami or PES as a title. I'm quitting PES 14. There is a big difference. You guys can jump ship the minute things go downhill, but PES 11 to PES 13 were solid titles. They received a lot of play time from me. PES 14 is an absolute joke of a game, and proves that crap happens when you are trying to meet such a tight deadline on a game that you are trying to reinvent with a new engine. Just piss poor decision making.

I'll give PES 15 a shot, just like a lot of you will too - please don't kid yourself. I'll give it a legit "PC" shot too because of this Evo-Web community, and then I'll decide - like I have now - whether I want to move forward with it or not.

I am more frustrated due to how KONAMI and PES Production approached things over the years. They didn't come out with apology, they didn't put it straight with: "Sorry, we messed up." No, they keep on going the LYING route.

At least EA had balls to say: "No Ignite for PC." Heartbreaking? Yes, it was, but at least they made it CLEAR. At least now you know what to expect.

With PES 14 they made all those amazing pre-interviews saying how much the FOX will change the game, that they re-invented the football game from ground up, that graphics levels will be out of this World when it comes to details, etc.

Sorry, but when game came out, it doesn't seem that different to PES 13. In fact graphically I feel it is still looking worse than PES 2010 (saturation aside, the colours were crisp).

No rain, no snow, no afternoon games, taking out Stadium Editor because they didn't have time (!!) to put it in (no, I won't believe in "EA Sports forbid use of it because people made real stadiums using it." - if that was the case KONAMI could sue EA for Creation Center where people create FULL Champions/Europe League).

No time is paradox as they admitted it took ~3 years of development and porting the engine to football. That only means, PES Production programmers are NOT up to the task and should be fired as soon as possible.

It's not like PES 2014 is completely bad, but if I were to compare it, FIFA is like Lamborghini PES is like FIAT 500. Both are cars, but one is in luxury class the other is affordable one. ;)

They need complete User Interface/Football Life rework. Sadly, can't see that happening any time soon. They need to add more animations without transition phases (hint: NBA 2k). Re-do the cameras. Those could work in 2005, not in 2013... (love the new Dynamic cam on FIFA :().

Open the game for modding ability without the use of 2ndary tools or cracked exes.

I don't have high hopes for PES 15. I will try it, but seriously speaking, with one year release frame and after seeing the state in which PES 14 is, I will start to pray it doesn't turn even worse...
 
temporaomores - Konami just tell us a few months ago PES 2015 will be on PS4 and XBOX ONE. But no words about PS3, XBOX 360 and PC.

Solid post, and I agree with the majority of what you've said. I understand your analogy of PES vs FIFA as cars - spot on, man.

I'm okay with the cameras actually - brings back a little of nostalgia from PES6/we9LE days. I believe they just needed to fine tune PES 13. In terms of gameplay, the ball physics (dribbling, sticking to player's feet a bit than I'd like) and just more animations overall. Include more day/night conditions - "real time" conditions as well. Make the crowds just as vibrant as they are in PES 14.

There's just so much more that could have been done building off of PES 13. All these guys complaining about why the DLC isn't on PC are baffling me because honestly, why are you still playing a crap game like PES 14 in the first place? What difference does it make if the latest patch isn't available for PC? The game truly stinks, and unless the DLC includes a LOD (level of detail) overhaul and removal of the overly-done close dribbling (precisely unrealistic), this game might have a shot on my supped up PC. Till then, it's icon gets removed from my taskbar - and makes way for the ever reliable PES 13.
 
i hope seabass creates his own development team and make another football game (like vince zampella did it when he left infitity ward).

this BS with masuda and bhatti is ridiculous. pes 2012 and 2013 were based on seabass code and masuda took all the glory. now he proved, along with that idiot bhatti that they cannot sail this ship.

this is the worst pes i've played so far. and also pes with worst goalkeepers in any football game.
 
Yeah GK are a mess and I still can't believe they didn't fix near post 99% way to score glitch. Also I am wondering where did they capture that sit on ass with one hand straight animation from?! I mean I have seen it maybe once in 90s :LOL:.

As for Masuda, maybe he is not completely at fault. Seabass probably wasn't to blame for PES downfall on PS3/X360 too after seeing the state of Pro Evo now.

The problem is, they both have vision, but the people working on the game cannot convert this vision into game code. MASS, Player ID, True Ball Tech are nice sounding words, but... They lack proper in game implementation.

This is why I said, they should look for better programmers with different approach to solving problems.

That youre forced to choose out of ONE football game on PC. ONE.
Cause the other is last gen FIFA 8 modification.
So come october we will have to pick either PES2015 or FIFA 15 PC aka FIFA 08.7....

Or even they tell us, the pc update is a secret and they will send it soon. Date: Unknown. So simple. :))

Unfortunately that seems true till now, although I am hoping for the best, Konami are giving us no sign.

No pes2015 for PC!! That is one of the worst nightmares ever.
 
I can't believe they still didn't released the DLC with the winter's transfers.. I don't care about the WC DLC (even as I would like to play it), that's additional content and I understand if it's just for consoles. But the winter update is mandatory for any football game. Years paying for it on PC just to play online, 2014 it's my last.
 
I think they do not want to get any problems with EA that's why they will not release the new WC DLC for the PC, because in a few days the editing will make it full licensed.
Also the new patch will add the world challenge mode inside the game so PC users will be able to create this challenge before EA release there game.

Okay no dlc, no WC content but atleast are we going to get the new patch/official update ?(1.10 or 1.08 I don't remember exactly)
 
Maybe konami give us a pc patch. But from twitter i read that they will now give to ps3/xbox patches and dlc, because we get older patches faster than they :D
