PC PES 2014 discussion thread

I think I am set. Think I managed to squeeze the best from PES 2014. A wonderful game when it plays right. :WORSHIP:

I am playing:

- 1.06 patch, 15 mins, Professional, 0 speed, 1 bar passing, Manual shooting (working really well in 1.06) and Advanced throughball;
- Stat adjusts (to all players, except goalkeepers):
  • Defensive prowess +10
  • Speed -10
  • Explosive power -10
  • Lofted pass -5
- Some personal tactics adjusts (klashman's tactics should do fine);
- Similar to TV broadcast camera, personalised using McSonix tool (Pitch Side: 6,4,25).

Are you using any patches Tinker?

How do you change these global values? That program uses?

Now using a very good, small Julian Cames 1.2 patch. Was using PESEdit before and maybe will go back with further versions. I like these patches as they dont mess with gameplay, which I can occupy myself with :)

Cant say that pesedit changes gameplay, or they are out for money, crappy downloader use, but you dont have to pay :)

Anyone checked Winning Eleven Podcast? :

http://winningelevenblog.com/blog/podcast-136-four-pillars-pes-greatness/

Have to say I agree on keeper (parry into goal) and the areas they speak of with the moment of loosing ball from tackles or clashes and that "no mans land" moment :)

Hello all, i'm new here.
i have a question, someone uploaded only dt32.cpk file (for pc version)? If yes can give it to me?
thanks forward

McSonix tool has not yet been updated for patch 1.06 i thought? or is it ?

You can do without.

Obviously, since McSonix tool needs both .exe and SYSTEM.bin files, you can use older .exe file (I use the 1.01 one, that I keep backuped in My Documents) with your current SYSTEM.bin file. Apparently all camera information is saved in SYSTEM.bin and it doesn't really matter which version of .exe is in your game folder.

So you can open your old 1.01 exe, that doesn't have to be in your pes2014 folder, and your system.bin file, make the changes, and still play with the 1.06 exe?

Cheers for that Tinker:COOL:

Well, that's what I do. :)) Tried it after seeing it doesnt work with 1.06 and was really surprised when saw it actually works.

Try and tell me if it does the thing for you.

Doesn't seem to have any effect for me. I'd like to make the wide camera slightly further back to give more of a view of the pitch. I'll keep trying.

I haven't played PES 2014 since October so I decided to give it another go. Like before I find that it has its moments, but ultimately there are a few key issues that still persist that detract from my enjoyment. Player switching and off the ball movement (both offensively and defensively). I hate to bring FIFA into the conversation, but FIFA 14 for the PS4 has pretty decent AI awareness. I rarely feel like I don't have control of my players or that my team's shape is all over the place. In PES it's like I'm swimming against the current. Player switching is sluggish, inaccurate and my player's aren't quick/intelligent enough to pick up runners, close down players or maintain their defensive shape. I have to constantly babysit them and this issue is magnified when it's coupled with the wonky player switching. If these issues were remedied it would go a long way in improving my personal experience.

Sadly FIFA 14 costs €510 for me to play it.
All the games on consoles are useless 8 hour long trash. Only footy games have the content and deph to last.
But in this economy im not gonna pay €510 for a game.

Don't be too discouraged, it's not as if FIFA 14 is the messiah of football video games. It does quite a few things well in an otherwise lackluster year when it comes to virtual football. I was over the moon with it for the first month or so, but I've grown tired of it(and I haven't even been playing it that much as of late). It definitely doesn't have that magical hold on me like PES of yesteryear used to have, but it's still a good game.

Agree. Video games in general are dreadful these days in gameplay, absolute gash! Its ALL graphics. the games last about a day or two then it's all this online nonsense.

If you're talking about about "AAA" games then I'd agree, they are generally pretty average in my opinion, but there's a large variety of interesting, fun games with plenty of longevity on the PC. It was one of my main reasons to go with a PC "this gen" because I think the quality of console games is quite poor.

Also, I disagree about online being "nonsense" - when the infrastructure is there to be able to smoothly play against other humans, I struggle to see the point in playing against primitive AI opponents instead, be that in sports games, racing games, shooters, strategy games... Whatever.

There are still loads of quality games around to play single player though... Tropico, Kerbal Space Program, Skyrim, Fallout, Prison Architect, Starbound, Total War, Civilization... The list goes on.

I hope that EA releases next gen FIFA on PC next year. Last gen in took them 5 years to do so (Fifa 08-FIFA12).
Anyway with most probable opponent on PC for PES2015 LAST gen FIFA 14.1 PES is assured to be better.

I have little hope that EA will release next gen FIFA15 on PC. Having said that, there is little excuse for them not to given that the new consoles are more similar to the PC than ever before, albeit underpowered.

The PC gaming market is gaining strength but it is still a tiny market for a money obsessed company like EA. They don't see the value in bringing Madden to the PC which is probably testament to their disinterest in the platform.

So we keep playing PES. And next year I will compare the FIFA 15 PC demo to PES2015 PC demo....:FAIL:

To be honest, if neither football game is any good, I'll play neither of them, that's what I've done this year anyway and I haven't missed them too much.

I've grown away from football anyway really - don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the sport and I'll be avidly following the World Cup, but having moved away from my hometown and not attending their games, then seeing the club become a shambles as well as not watching live football or MotD too often due to not having a TV license at uni it's just gone way down my list of priorities these days compared to how I was football crazy in my childhood and teenage years - I've hardly even followed football at all for the last two years.

If a football game is genuinely a really high quality game on it's own merits then I'd probably still get hooked and really enjoy it, but for me the days of playing football games just for the sake of playing football games are over.

Rob, your at uni, who gives a shit about football. Keep shagging and get an 2:1, then move country since finding work in England is a joke! They will treat you like a slave.

Also Yes, you have a point about PC gaming.. I just don't care and i don't like violent games which take themselves too seriously anymore. Someone else's cup of tea but not mine.

Haha, advice to live by! I've never been too great at planning for my future, but going abroad is definitely something I'd want to do... From just going on a 2 month holiday travelling in the summer, going to Amsterdam then a few places around France... I definitely get the impression that there are far nicer places to live and work than the UK.

I understand about the violent games, they're not for everyone - personally, one of my favourite games of the last few years has been Hotline Miami and that's ultra-violent :P.
I think you'd like Portal 1 and 2 - most people have played them but it's a clever concept and they are excellent games.

I really tried to love PES2014. It has it's moments of brilliance for sure, but ultimately it's a bit creaky and I personally don't find the gameplay as addictive or exciting as in previous iterations. Ho hum.

I still have faith that Konami will pull it out of the hat for 2015. C'mon lads, give us what we deserve!

Now I've gone back to 2013 online and I'm loving it. It will keep me happy for now.

I've heard about Portal and Portal 2, they are suppose to be really fun. Award winning i think even.
They are brilliant games, both of them. The Orange Box should be available really cheaply now for 360/PS3 and that contains Portal 1 (as well as Half Life 2, another great game) and both Portal games regularly go on sale cheaply on Steam (currently they are full price) and run well on even low-end computers.

They are basically puzzle games, but the concept they use and the level design are outstanding, it's one of the most innovative and well executed games of the last decade, seriously recommended. If you can, I'd get Portal 2 for PC because there's Steam Workshop support which lets you download and play fan made levels, which adds pretty much infinite longevity to the game. The vanilla levels are still really fun and challenging nonetheless though.

I've only played Portal 2 but I can safely say you are missing out on one of the most innovative and clever games of recent times. The production value is great - very slick, well presented with a good sense of humour - just what you'd expect from Valve.

Just pick it up.

Spot on. Frankly I can't understand why Valve are so reluctant in announcing a third one. But then again, Valve hates the number 3.

I had installed Pes2014 on one of my PCs. I have renamed the English Premier League Teams and I have enabled the online game play. Also, I have created my personal settings.

Yesterday, I have installed the game to another pc of mine and I want to import all the changes/settings from my initial setup to this new PC.

How can I do that without re doing them?

Thanks.

Make a backup of Your Konami folder( in My documents folder ).
When You have installed game on new pc, just replace the konami folder in documents with Your backed up copy from old pc.
That way all Your game edits will be applied.
Or simply back up the edit.bin.
