PC PES 2014 discussion thread

Konami must have a great communication policy. Patch for PC? We are sorry, we forgot there is another platform we accidentilly published our utter crap game for. I will never buy a PES title again. I´ve played PES since ISS until 2012, switched to FIFA for the next two years, got bored, returned to PES for the last time.

PES 2014 Data Pack 2 Released Monday

As we reported last week Konami are planning to release a new Data Pack for PES 2014 this month. The new PES 2014 DLC will include over 800 faces, updated kits and more. A game update with additions to online play and gameplay fixes is also set to be released on the same date.

Update On November 16 the new PES 2014 Data Pack and patch were released for European PS3 and XBOX360 versions of the game, while Konami said the updates would be released for PC and Asian PS3 versions of the game on Monday, November 18.

Konami yesterday announced the data pack and patch would be 1.3GB in size combined. They also gave a list of some of the gameplay and kit fixes included in the new PES 2014 Data Pack 2:

Gameplay:

  • Manual Control fixes: R2 Shot, first time actions (shot, header etc), yellow bar
  • Goalkeepers: Better reactions to initial save
  • L1 Lob Shot Fix
  • Gameplay slowdown in final 3rd: Change made to make as smooth as possible
  • Shooting: Refinements of slowdown to help/have positive impact
  • Catch-up refined, feeling of sudden catch-up removed
  • BAL player stats decline fixed
  • x2 speed implemented when substituted in BAL
  • Gameplan cursor speed made faster
  • User online block list increased
  • 3 player on same team controller bug fixed

Kit fixes:

  • Barcelona away, Inter home, Motherwell GK
  • Sponsors added for Almeria, Elche and Villarreal

The most obvious changes:

- Shooting pack a lot of power on all three modes (basic, advanced, manual)
- Advanced through ball and shooting are more responsive.
- Fixed broken header on manual control.
- Yellow bar for manual control.

Maybe placebo:
- Game feel more weighty
- GK are more intelligent and less rooted (this maybe true but still rely a lot on variables).

The patch size is around 20 MB. 20 MB is a lot for coding. It's still big even if you take out the myPes stuff. Those who claims there are no changes, maybe just a wind-up merchant.

Nice, i think it's better for pc players to only list the positive improvement aaaand leave the negative ones until 2014 a.k.a keep it to yourself and Konami. If one can't help, put them in PES console thread :P

I got this when I try to download the version for download copy:
"The requested URL /Patchs/PES2014_Patch1_04.exe was not found on this server."

someone above said the servers is under maintenance...so did your got it before that,

never mind, http://www.konami.jp/we/online/ does show whether the servers are up or not.

FYI:
Emergency Network Maintenance will be held during the below times: 02:30 - 12:00 18/11/2013(UTC) Please note that the Online Service will be suspended during these times and maintenance may be extended if required. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

does anyone know if that time means it ends at 12pm or 12am? it doesn't use a 24h system and it doesn't say am or pm...

More under the hood refinement. Buggy collision animations are greatly reduced. Previously the CPU won't bother to pressure you unless you enter specific radius. Especially near your penalty box. This appear to be fixed.

These two are no placebos, you can spot it and compare it with previous version.

Morning all

So what changes does the new patch/data pack bring. My main bugbears with the game are as follows

Catchup bug
Shooting too floaty and virtually impossible to score from outside the box
Responsiveness

Are these fixed because if so ill be playing this all year

Thanks in advance

My biggest concern is the long range shots that never go in.
Is that fixed?

I won´t be able to play it the next days and I anyway have to wait for the new Patch Version of PESE**t as they say it might cause Problems if you have it installed and wanna use the official Patch.

First 1.04 patch impressions.I've played two 15min matches on Top Player-Superstar H96(me)-Arsenal(cpu).I've applied the patch but kept edited data since the gameplay changes are on exe.
- More responsive for sure. You can now win headers in midfield.
- Cpu now makes sliding tackles (on superstar very often)
- Cpu played possession game (that's a surprise)
- Cpu had more varied attack but I saw some questionable decisions inside the box. Overall though there's big improvement.
- Cpu shooting is more varied too.
- Gk's seem refined and with better animations too. Their awareness inside the box is increased by 100%.
- I've had 2 easy runs from midfield on Top Player but on Superstar I was struggling.
- Lack of fouls again despite the cpu tackling but I need to test it more because I didn't get too much involved with dribbling.
- Shooting has more power and it's responsive.

Seems like a good patch so far that proves even more that this game has great potential. I'm sure PES 2015 will be a more polished product.

As the title says, I need your feedback regarding the latest patch.

Please state your platform; PS3/360/PC.

True feedback will be taken into consideration. Keep it constructive and in points please. Nice, clear, and tidy.

No trolling. No disrespecting anyone. No name calling. No one liners. No essays. No spamming. These will not be taken seriously and deleted.

Serious posters only. I need this ready by Tuesday evening.

Shoot!

I always forget, is it best to install datapack before applying new patch of the other way around? I prefer to install the datapack outside of the game.eg, manually.
