PC PES 2014 discussion thread

Is cheating, on MLO for example, still possible?

Since there is no demo i found another way to play the game, but if cheating isn't fixed i'm giving up on PES.

well yes, less stuff you need to think about when you play, but thats not automatically a worse game and most people dont seem to think that way
we need to ask ourselves, are the new features thought through and balanced, easy to play and intuitive to use, are they forcing us to play a certain way and may other questions
its not that simple as many think

imho i only miss 360° movement, sometimes
no sliders, no playstyle cards and no other feature they introduced since 2008, most of it can be done in the old games in a different/easier way or is done automatically by the game
 
I´ve never understood why they introduced the cards, too. Besides the biggest problems for me, the goalkeepers and the catch up bug, the design decision to use the right stick actively to wrestle your opponent away is really weird, because it´s the most effective way to defend and get the ball. You don´t need tackling at all when you can run off the ball by pushing your opponent away without the referee giving a foul.

Btw. I bought FIFA 14 lately even though I didn´t plan after having played FIFA 12 and 13, but the unfinished state of PES made me change my mind. I haven´t regretted buying it. The game is finished, polished and not half as bad as people say. PES has the better gameplay depth for sure, but everything else is from hell. And I can play lagless online with Borussia Dortmund...
 
yes, exactly how i feel too about the new RS barge system, its just not right, needs balancing

and yes fifa has the package no doubt, how are the bugs, from what i heard all the years its quite a bugfest all the time
 
Sometimes the physics are a bit off when players go to the ground.
A strange bug appears everytime I start a match, the game stutters. After switching to the desktop and back that stuttering is gone.

But I have to say I´ve just found out about the new patch, maybe they´ve fixed it.

The barge system works great. Shooting has been improved so that long shots are more effective. The ball physics are better than last year and there are a few new animations. But the best part are the goalies! Man, if only PES could have goalies like them...

Let´s see what enhancements KONAMI´s gonna give us with the new patch.
 
Right, that's it for me until the new patch. As a predominantly online player it's nearly impossible. Played over 100 games in MLO and I've had enough. 80% of goals come from cpu error whether it be a lack of response, shitty goalkeeping, power bar hang or players standing still. It's truly incredible how unfinished this game is on PC. I've tried, I've really tried, but there just aint no love
:(
 
Is there going to be any fix for fouls in the game? How can anyone not complain about that as much , I mean the CPU never slide tackles or fouls me its irritating lol
 
After downloading the pesedit Bundesliga patch I played Dortmund vs Bremen, I thought that the gameplay was years ahead of FIFA14. Then Bremen decided to take an attempt at my short corner and the slapstick Weidenfeller and Schmelzer performed killed the gameplay again... Gooooooooooooal! Aaaaaaargh!

What freedom are you talking about m8?

The passing system is too restrictive and every pass lock to the player (not to the space and) and power bar is very inconsistent. Also the rails are still there.

In my opinion, they have to work or even better rebuilt AI, passing and shooting system from the beggining.

We9le even with no power bar have more free and realistic passing and shooting system.

Why the hell does player position and tactics reset to deafault everytime when i change them in the tactics screen?

This is OLD Master League system for you. It's reminder from PS2 days :LOL:.

Shouldn't be there in this time and age... Maybe for online it would make sense, but offline ML not so much.

Because you are probably changing them in the "next mach" screen. Before that, you should go to "My Team" and "Gameplan". If you change them there, they will stay that way.
 
There won't be any. The demo was bound to be released after official game release (19th of September!).

Till now, there is no demo... So don't get your hopes up. :/

Btw to PC guys, try yair25 core 2 gameplay. Be advised: disable Fileloader completely before trying. The game is a lot better for me now :).

Using it with "unmentionable" patch ;).

But i only play onlinematches and in the gameplan there i change tactics and player positions, but when the match starts nothing is saved.

so weird, worked flawlessly in PES2013.
 
I just finsish to play 11 vs 11 in Beta.. is... just.. unplayable.. the lag is so bad, the response time is huge.. really disappointing ... i was waiting this mode for years... :(
All goals with lob shots...

Just a reminder, as other people have also tested and found out, this is not an issue 'cause players reach their top speeds with double tapping R1/RB. Hope people are not reporting this to Konami as then they'll try to fix something which is not broken :))

This is why you can't jump to conclusions this quickly especially with a game like PES 2014 that is so new.

My 2 cents.

i agree, even on 1 bar the passing seems restrictive, and moving in a diagonal position on the pitch is hard because it has input lag, in fifa every direction can be done with no lag.

Mate trust me . I spent many hours on testing double tappin r1/rb . Please try test it yourself and you wil see what iam talking about. There is no difference if there is double tapping or just sprint . acc and top speed is same for every footballer. Every time they reach to opossite end in 12 secound. This is the problem . I like to see other tests because for me and couple other guys here no individuality issue is obvious.

last night i double tapped sprint with neymar on the edge of the byline he made a pass to himself from one side passed the defender on the other, incredible dribble, i heard the fans wouw for a second
 
Is there any way to have multiple versions of the game without uninstalling the game? I tried renaming folders and the .exe but it keeps asking me to uninstall before I install.

It's mostly just so I can try it again with only the official patch. And maybe the yair tool also without having to uninstall and reinstall the game each time.
