1.01 made it even worse,closer to pes13 pingpong system, anyone? where is that hell of a difficult and complex leaked demo code by now...?

1.01 improved input lag and cursor switching. Everything else is the same.

I'm playing on Super Star, i feel it is pretty natural, no cheating at the same time very challenging. Just started my ML journey with default squad. Having hard time register more than 5 shots in a 15 minutes match. Bar some braindead moment, the CPU in general hounding me off the ball, work hard to win the ball, giving very little space to operate and depend on the team style sometime they press you high and stay close to their man. The possession usually marginally favour me, however that because i was pinned back in my own half, forcing to play more backward pass than forward.

After playing this, there's no way i can play the older PES.

It was the same in the great PES 5 where Superstar was infact easier than Professional, in previous PES games gone by its been superstar the hardest level, well is the same as top player but the CPU have an extra god mode they sometimes use really.

On Superstar, the keeper seem worse than on professional, more bugs, worse defending AI, easier to score. Superstar is a bit of a mess, things don't seemed finished. Professional is harder, well because it works.

This was seen especially in Bitter Rivals streams, and from my playing of the full game and demo.

This isn't an opinion this is my observation of what I presume most people will see. Professional was the best level in the demo too with superstar in general being broken regardless of the console.

After problems to run PES2014, finally succeeded, but despite using D3DOVERRIDER to force v-sync, I noticed that from time to time a small lag in the image, something 1 second, this is what we call the problem of v-sync?

Great point, klashman. That makes sense. I've been testing professional level as well and I think you are definitely correct. I remember the issue with the older PES on superstar (or 5-6 stars as it was) was easier because the defense over pressured, thus leaving gaps wide open.

NickNick - show some respect yourself, man. Klash is a strong member of the community who has provided exceptional approaches to the core of PES gameplay.

In every single PES on every platform, playing on higher difficulty level requires some additional skills and tricks. In PES 2013 changing attack and defence levels was crucial. “Just playing” with occasional formation changes was not enough on superstar.
In this PES, if you want to make GK or last line perform well, you really need to take a closer look at new commands list. And, why do you think developers of this game have added option to switch cursor to goalkeeper?
I don’t feel any problems with CPU AI either. Maybe it’s related to my PC . I can run this game without any major glitches. I’m not saying that I don’t have some problems with game’s optimization. I’m just saying that I do not feel awareness problem and that superstar I not broken for me.
In that old PES you are talking about, highest level was a freaking goal-fest if you don’t change way you play. If you know how to play and what to change, that goal-fest becomes midfield war – that’s why it was the best until recently.

Superstar is easy because it isn't finished. Professional feels at a more finished state

Superstar is easier than Professional?

I was thinking that by playing on Professional I would ease myself into the game.

I forgot if it was yellow card or not buy yeah advantage rule is an improvement over previous version..
OOT but i don't like the idea of advantage rule or delayed call when the referee finally given the card five mins or more later.. as in FIFA

I'm on the same boat as Jamezinho on this one. I play on professional, but I find it cool if others find superstar harder/easier. It only adds to my curiosity. Will try superstar for sure.

I'd like to add that the sliders work a lot better now. I just faced Shalke home and away, and apparently they are set to pressure like hell. Lost to them 0-1 as Barcelona (away). After that I won 3-0 (home), but I went through hell to archieve it. All this in professional. I'm a pacient and skillful builder and defender, so I was pleasantly surprised by this aggressive approach.

I can tell English isn't your first language, so I'll cut you some slack. Calling someone who is respected in the community is going to get you under some fire - just sayin.

I don't check the console thread - why would I? This is the PC section, so you're going to be listening to guys who have dedicated their gaming to PC only, and have modified gameplay patches or global tactics/edits as a result.

Change up your attitude in this thread, no need to act the way you are acting right now. It's not constructive to the topic. Klash made an observation, you made a claim - meaning you never tried it (if you did, you could have just stated so) regarding playing professional level in PES 14. Instead you turned this into some school boy seeking attention debacle that has no use.

So kindly drop whatever comeback you have saved up in your mouth - and move on, sir.

I mean, its not that I cannot handle superstar, it's that I've played on it first off and found it easier to pick holes in the defence than Professional. Matt said it well, the AI overpressure on Superstar defensively and with the Player marking bug leave easy gaps to score.

Also keepers are definitely more solid on professional. Buffon is awesome on Professional but on Superstar, literally every game i tested he'd make some strange buggy error.

Not sure what this kid thing is about either.

If your finding no problems on Superstar, then professional will probably be even better for your experience.

I need some tactics!!!!!

I normally wait until the transfer patch to do them so everyone on consoles and pc can use the same lineups, need to access how similar or different certain teams are to last year, premiership has completely changed, so has the majority of the strongest leagues, I think only Atletico, Dortmund and Valencia seem to play the same way as last year, along with Sevilla.

looks like 1st time shooting is all about practise on manual controls. You have to time it right but also release button and directional control before ball arrives at player, scored a few last night

it's good that in fifa 14, they fixed a bit of the stadium simulations, now santiago bernabeu looks much better ,(fifa 13 was a mile btw goal and stands lol) the stands are 4 meters behind goal where it should be 2 meters only,the camp nou simulation is extremely close but still needs the stand to be closer by a meter. it still need more work, no one comes close to pes stadium simulation..:p too bad no camp nou or santiago bernabeu..

Really? That's just not good enough, Konami. There's been a patch, right? That says to me that the chants feature is a console exclusive.

Last year was the same. You could assign chants on the PS3 and 260 but not on PC. I don't know what goes through their heads sometimes...

Thank God for modders such as Jenkey allowing us to add chants.

Hey guys, I hope someone can help me here. Me and my friend tried to play against each other but he keeps getting an error message saying something about NAT restriction. The funny thing is, he is able to play ranked matches but cannot join/create a lobby room.

Does anybody know the solution? Does he need to open any ports in his router? If so, which one?

no, i don't wanna do that. i didn't do that with pes 2013, it was way more challenging game than pes 2014.

they must increase game difficulty. even pes 6 on "professional" is way more challenging than pes 2014 on "top player".

it's not more challenging whatsoever, pes 2014 is really good on top player and hard even with basic-assisted cursor it needs time to adapt to it, pes 2013 is s**t compared to this.

After doing a lot matches over the past days i came to the conclusion that konami has created the best football gameplay of all time. It really feels like football and the more i play the more i immerse into the game.

But yeah...of course there are some bugs because of the new engine but the basics of a footballgame are there and well done which lets hope for the future.

Well, i was only talking about the gameplay for now. But the game in general? In my honest opinion it is a shame. Don't understand why Konami still didnt get in 2013 that a good game needs more than a good gameplay. Menus are shit and got even worse comparing to PES 2013. Releasing with outdated teams again, srsly? Worst soundtrack I have heard for a long time in any game. Like 20 Stadiums only, much work to-do for the modders again. Konami has advertised with better ingame atmosphere. Mabye some teams got proper chants but in general? Not much better than last games. I don't know whats wrong with Konami. The game feels like an alpha-version for the developers to test the gameplay.

As some of you have already pointed out: Konami should get some professionalism.

For know this game is great for some matches in-between only

I can't find anything official for PES2014 yet, but you could try following the advice for PES2013....

Wow, From trying out a lot of sweetfx profiles everyone seems to oversaturate practically every colour leaving this "hyper realistic" oversharpe mess. The result is of cours that nothign looks natural, but these look vibrant yet subtle from the screen shots, care to share the settings?

Have been waiting patiently and cutting Konami some slack. But this lack of the promised PC demo and no news as to when they plan to release it, is beyond ludicrous. Most dysfunctional and worst-managed game dev company, ever.

I appreciate that, but I don't buy video games that are broken to the point where you lose that sense of immersion due to annoying gameplay issues. I'm not saying PES is that way obviously, I just need to try the demo and see for myself first.
