any advice on what laptop to buy which can run PES nicely with plenty to spare but not a stupidly overpriced alienware laptop madness.

Sorry that I'm late to the party. How do you guys manage to get the game ? On Gamesplanet, it says the game will be released on 27th Sept. Has it been released in certain countries already?

I was thinking along the lines of the likes of you who can recommended which to go for. so the likes of me who can't follow it and who falls behind can easily see what we should be going for

I'm looking to learn a thing or two myself. I don't normally stray far from Jenkey's patch which has everything you need in one package. Obviously that's a while away as yet so I'm looking for good tools and patches to use until then.

Tell you what, PES2014 has a very realistic game under it's core, I mean, just look at it and compare everything that's going on to a real match... But the limitations/problems everyone has mentioned here makes it a very annoying experience the majority of times.

If shots were made free-er, if the awareness problem was completely eradicated, if response times were improved, if the players stopped locking into every ball without the need for super cancel and if dribbling speed was more contextual, this would be the best sports game ever.

Unfortunately, that's way too many "ifs".

Question:
1. Do you use your laptop as on the go PC?
2. Or you use it as a portable PC that never uses the battery?

If its 1 then get the MSI its best price/performance. If its 2 the get this:

was getting really pissed off with the delay when playing, players too slow etc

i then changed everything to assisted, player switching, shooting etc and the game now plays amazing

tried playing against the CPU and also online and both games were great - keepers were not annoying either

i'm playing with he pesedit patch and really enjoying it - like anderson said earlier their is definitely a great game underneath trying to get out

Guess the game still has a tendency to work better under old-gen settings. Might be the best way to fairly compare it to previous PES games :x

I might give that a go as I'm having similar frustrations. I'm having yet another bi-polar relationship with PES. It's brilliant, it's shite, then it's brilliant again, then it's so-so. :SMUG:

Side note: I literally laughed out loud when I had a player sent off for this. The CPU usually does their best Bas Rutten impersonations on me and never get called, but I get sent off for a legitimate challenge! Foot/studs were sideways (as if it even takes that into account).

Makes ML a bit repetitive with only Sunny or Night games.

In my opinion i love this game, im the only that havent any type of lag? My gameplay are fluid and i havent any problem with performance, my pc spec its a iMAC 2012, works well on it

Why doesn't exist a site like SkyrimNexus, with its Mod Manager, which is much more helpful to organize, add or delete mods? PESNexus anyone? It would be cool.

i've installed the latest nvidea drivers and woahhh, the gameplay is all changed, it's now super fast on 0, all gthe lag has gone and it runs pretty much perfectly

wtf. i though my PC was shit?

It happened the same to me days ago. The game ran perfectly just after installing latest drivers (327.63), but... ...after changing some bits at the control panel, then PES gone back to stuttering and 10 FPS in cutscenes. It's a very rare behaviour. I don't know what exactly causes PES to run this bad.

The advice is, if the game runs well, don't touch anything in the Control panel.

What about Radeon users? Which drivers should them use to have this game working smoothly? Even though I've got enough powerful PC, Pro does 't work very well.

Did you notice any differences between an olded an newer drivers guys?

I'm using the 13.10 beta. The 13.9 WHQL was recently released so I would go with either of those.

something strange...

i play pes (and all the games) on my led tv (PC>HDMI>TV) and sometimes, when im playing pes my tv "reset" the image config, the effect is like when i change the tv's channel with different resolution.

It is like the tv re-adapt the config ONLY with PES, and when it does the gameplay changes, the animations, the transitions, the pad responses all work perfect. It is really strange. Sadly it is a random thing.
