PC PES 2014 discussion thread

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

@fdb

can you share a link for that graphic patch? and what pc specs do you have?

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

Got it from Gaming Dragons, installing now ,can't wait not played PES for 2 years and sick of the competitions reskins every year.;)

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

OK. I might have found out what causes havoc in PC version.

Have legit copy, so could check.

The game on original 1.01 patch + DLC 1.0 plays HEAPS better than on RELOADED exe.

RELOADED group removed a lot from exe. The weight difference between both versions of exe is substantial. Original patched 1.01 game exe = 40k KB, RELOADED 30k KB.

10MB of data flew out of the window. Dunno if it's all SecuRom related, but the difference between legal =/= cracked exe is huge. If you're willing to verify this, please do so.

I am reverting to original 1.01. Can leave without logos and such. I won't sacrifice gameplay for them...

Or maybe I am just paranoid... :P

You shouldn't be talking about this here... but... It's the anti-:PIRATE: code removal that makes that size :)

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

Does that mean that people complaining about shit gameplay are playing a pirated version?

no
1st not only pc users complain but the game has almost the same complaints and issues on the 3 platforms
2nd i have the original game and 1.01 patch has nothing to do with responsiveness or any other issues , i'm sure it's placebo

ps , as a game modder i tell u that if any thing removed from the exe related to gameplay or database or engine , the game won't even start or will crash sooner if it does

Looking for a little help from the Gaming Dragons folk, I've installed the game, and the patch, and am now trying to load up for the first time - but I'm getting an error demanding the original DVD?

Anyone else having this? I'm running windows 8.1, and there appears to be some kind of auto-malware removal happening when I try and run PES?

Weird. Try reinstalling and patching it straight away, the patch should detech your installation.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

I have an Intel HD 4000 Graphics Card,

Game won't let me change Picture Quality from "Low" or go higher than 1280x720 resolution.

I'm using a laptop so can't upgrade my graphics card, is there any way to change Picture Quality? Even Fifa 13 looks better on my pc..

Don't patch it with Konami's 1.01 .....download the patch from the download link they sent you.

Not at all.
Copy and paste inside "SweetFX_settings.txt" File.

SweetFX version: 1.4
Author: CeeJay.dk
Description:

These are the default settings for SweetFX 1.4
They smoothen jagged edges with SMAA anti-aliasing, sharpen the image with LumaSharpen and make the colors slightly more vibrant with Vibrance.

Please note when tweaking settings that higher numbers does not always equal better (nor does lower).
Finding the best settings for your game and your taste is about finding just the right amount to apply.

If you made a good setttings preset please share it with your friends, on forums and websites,

1st not only pc users complain but the game has almost the same complaints and issues on the 3 platforms
2nd i have the original game and 1.01 patch has nothing to do with responsiveness or any other issues , i'm sure it's placebo

ps , as a game modder i tell u that if any thing removed from the exe related to gameplay or database or engine , the game won't even start or will crash sooner if it does

this year we will have new grass? thanks

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

It didn't happen to me, but another great Evo-Web member mentioned it happened to him. For some reason some virus scan applications see one of the files as a problem. Either turn off the application, or better yet, tell it to allow your PES 2014 folder install location to be left alone and not scanned.

I think this will solve the issue.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

Don't patch it with Konami's 1.01 .....download the patch from the download link they sent you.

Thanks, trying that.

What's weird is a did a clean install, and same problem without the patch. Just the clean pes2014.exe.

Have a bad feeling it has to do with some 'preview' activity I almost (but failed) to engage in earlier in the week. Can't believe that might have screwed me wiht the real thing now. That would be some swift karmic revenge.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

What if it refuses to save the txt file ?

What do you mean?.
Check if the file is 'read-only'. Although I don't think it is.
Make sure you're not running the game while you try to save the file. Although it should be a problem either since I've changed the file many times while playing.

The other way would be for you to create a new Notepad file from the desktop, paste all the content I left there a save it as "SweetFX_settings.txt" then move that file to Konami/PES 2014 root folder and replace the existing file.

I did find the solution before you replied but I'll thank you anyway. It looks fucking beautiful to say the least but it's testing the limits of my poor laptop
I think the game looks good enough for me to play without Sweetfx.

Thank you.
I've tried disabling SweetFX (you can do so just by pressing the ScrollLock key on your keyboard) and I can't believe the difference. Right now, to me, the game would look plain naked and unsatisfying without SweetFX.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

Don't want to litter this thread, so if anyone fancies helping me out, please send me a PM. Really bummed, I can't seem to run pes2014.exe without a windows defender malware notice popping up (somethign called obfuscator.xz gets flagged) and it demands I install the original disk.

This is with the downloaded Gaming Dragons version (and tried the patch too). Thanks!

Edit: Nevermind, for some reason on win 8.1 I have to turn off Windows Defender to play, then it works fine. Very odd :(
Further edit: Nope still having issues, patch won't work.

I swear, the f*cking lengths one has to go to paly this game on PC in North America is ridiculous.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

I played the game both on PS3 then PC.
The difference in framerates is enough for me to not play it on PS3.
The constant slow down in penalty box which is permanent on PS3 isn't there on PC.
Sure the cursor isn't fast enough on PC but still better than PS3.
I think with patch 1.02 the game will play much better regarding response, defensive AI and keeper positioning.

I agree mate installed it and the difference is brilliant.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

Not been on here for a while, just decided to get off the hype train!

I have not played it yet so have no voice of experience but it sounds like an outstanding attempt just let down by a few flaws, but not enough to destroy the experience??

Im torn between waiting for FIFA on the PS4 or going with this on my PC??

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

I hope one day Konami sorts out their replay cameras. They've been a bit shit for quite a few years now, and I'd like to see a system as robust as FIFA's. A free cam that I could place anywhere and adjust the height/zoom would be brilliant as well.

I can't speak for anyone else, but that's how I feel. Some of the issues I have with the game (such as player switching) can be remedied with patches. Didn't PES 2011 or 2012 have player switching issues early and they eventually fixed them? Lack of player urgency, player switching and dodgy keepers are my main gripes at the moment.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

I really am trying so hard to enjoy this game but I can't :(

It just feels like a complete mess so far.

- Players are unresponsive, sometime just standing there and watching the ball roll past them
- Passes randomly go to completely the wrong player
- Defending is horrible. It is nearly impossible to select the correct player when trying to clear the ball leaving the cpu with a simple chance

I just hope I can grow to enjoy it as I even liked PES2013 with all of it's flaws but I really am struggling with this one :(

Good to see you back.

Yes, it's a bit of a rough diamond but totally worth buying on the pc. It should be outstanding once the modders have given it the once over and Konami patch it in the coming weeks.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

I don't know if any of you saw PESEdit's 0.1 patch screens but the corrected PL kits are tight fit, could anybody tell me how to do that, I hate the baggy kits and want to change them for Lazio.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

Am I the only one having this problem:Get to the byline, low cross, press shoot and the first striker dummies!!

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

online is a fooking joke

being forced to play assisted controls without knowing what the fuck ur buttons are.

so anything your used to doing isn't relevant and then add to the fact connections are bad..

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

UGGGGH same old shit on the ML and the AI...its go go go to goal, and thru ball fest.. I will apply 1.01 but that looks to be nothing new in terms of gameplay... really disapointing..
