PC PES 2014 discussion thread

@ Klash.....I never considered giving up this game. The gameplay is very good for the most part. However, it needs patching, it needs more faces, it needs modded stadia, etc.

In the meantime the game will be a mere dalliance. Hopefully in November I can start a proper relationship with PES2014.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO...Just solved the lag problem on my CRAPPY AMD 6620 GFX card, 1.5 Quad core. Maxing FIFA and PES out NOW! Want to know how? Refreshlock!!! Put ur refreshrate to 160 and fiddle w/ the advanced settings so that you get the max refreshes in the smallest time. When you are done, add the PES14.exe into D3Doverrider and disable Triple Buffering and leave Vsync on. Then open Radeon Pro and use settings specific to your machine. I should NOT be able to run PES14 or FIFA14 on MAX graphics at 60+ and yet, I am. This is too good to be true. I would feel guilty if I didn't share my fix. I can upload my Radeon Pro settings if someone likes.

Was playing the game last night and something hilarious happened, gonna have to make a video clip of it, I took a shot at goal and it hit a player and flew hundreds of feet in the air, and stayed in the air for fucking ages and flew across the pitch, bounced, and flew high up in the air again, and kept bouncing really high, players were chasing after it, it landed, and the CPU player volleyed it at my goal and luckily my goalie saved it :CONFUSE:

this year we got unfinished buggy PES..FIFA has no chance to win the fail compilation

:APPLAUD: some are thinking that the photo is from fifa..but its from pes 2014

Dude collision system in PES is miles better than on FIFA. Search for FIFA 12 Impact Engine fails on YouTube.

It's first time such system is implemented to Pro Evo and it's already in much better state than it was on FIFA when they introduced their system (which still has glitches in it even on FIFA 14).

Its in HORRIBLE state because there is no fouling on collisions at all. If i never use standing/sliding tackles i never foul cpu in entire game lol.

Yeah, Collision system of pes is far better than fifa...this year these bugs are too much noticable because of unfinished game by konami.

FIFA 14 has also toned that down. You no longer get foul for standing tackle.

So it works both ways.

It can be fixed with patch though. I haven't seen such bugs as guy above posted. So it's very rare or I am just lucky ;).

TheTud, I must be playing a different game then. I get called fouls 5 out of 6 times when I shoulder barge a player. To me it feels like the system works like this. If a weaker player shoulder barges a stronger player, the stronger player falls and foul is given. If it's the other way around then, most likely, no foul will be given. I think it makes a lot of sense this way and collision system is really great in this game!

Have you been using shoulder barge?

Shoulder barge with right stick you mean ? Dunno about that, but if i lets say just run into player holding sprint there is no fouls called even on bad collision.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. You can try it in the performance training. It'll take a few tries but it's very easy to learn. I promise you, it will change your game and you will see a lot of fouls(not in a bad way) then ;)

Because doing this will end the same way as it was on PES 2013. Too much stupid fouls would get called.

Also how would you do this in game? Game would have to decide is this collision or give advantage or call foul here and break the game?

This game is far from finished. Hopefully patches will fix it.

Im actually have no problem defending without doing anything but containing space, cpu is just too primitive on offensive end trying to send trough balls on strikers.
It just feels cheap sometimes when i pressure cpu team on their half and can just knock them off the ball without foul being called.

I don't know if someone talk about this before because i didn't read all the pages, but someone saw if ref give a card ingame or it only happen in cinematics?

R2 is almost pointless in this game. All it does it make you face your opponant's goal and 9 times out of 10 you lose the ball.I used to love using it as a dribbling technique in confined spaces to stop and start. No longer!:(

Maybe it isn't perfect yet, but I've made free kicks without using the tackle buttons many times already. Obstructions gets called too btw.

Good point. Last year and since 2009 (at least) it was possibly too effective and now it's nearly useless. The AI seems to be using it with ease though :)

It's all about timing. R2 now merely just another option, no longer a certain get out of jail card in tight space. I think i like it, previously it was like the ball glued to your feet and didn't take weaker foot into consideration at all.

In both PES and FIFA devs intentionally chose that behaviour, because some people were moaning about referees years ago. "OMG IT BREAKS THE FLOWWW".

It's dissapointing we'll never have again the foul frequency of PES 5... or more recenty, of PES 2011 Demo.

PES5 was video game refereeing perfection.

Ok, maybe fouls were awarded a little too easily but it made the player think about defending more intelligently.

It was also a better replication of real-world refereeing in the modern game.

How would You know what the developers chose in both PES & FIFA then ?
And I wish people would drop comparisons between the 2 platforms here.
It just takes the thread in a wrong direction.
