PC PES 2014 discussion thread

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

Thanks, put PES2014 in it, but dunno where is a option that I can set a button for activate or deactivate RadenPro ingame.
I don't want that all games uses RadeonPro from now, only the ones I put in it (the others should use Catalyst normal driver at all).

SweetFX was turned on by me, but don't saw any settings, where I can modify it. :D

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

Take all of these files and copy them into your PES 2014 game folder (the location you installed the game to).

Hope this helps.

I used ToonArmy's file and his Nvidia settings, and the game looks great.

Thanks! Can you please share the Nvidia settings?

There is a 'global' setting in RP which allows you to have default settings for all games that don't have their own profile. You can basically use it to replace catalyst.

Otherwise, only run RP when you need it. Make sure it doesn't run on Windows startup.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

guys please

1.00 and 1.01, differences?
for some reason I prefer 1.00
1.01 is very fast for me, it seems that players lost inertia and weight

Yeah, 1.01 the AI seems hell bent on pumping the ball forward as fast as possible. It feels COMPLETELY different for me. Pre-patch the AI would pass the ball back, all the way back to keeper at times, and wouldn't be so reliant on through balls.

Its pretty frustrating. Konami did this all last year, patches would change how the game played radically from version to version.

Sigh. I wasn't even going to give FIFA a shot given how bad the fifa 14 pc demo was but honestly if PES stays like this, I ain't having much fun with the game until a few months down the line when all the patches etc come out. Might have to shell out for something to play in the meantime.

PES 2014 is super close - but just not there YET. :(

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

did you check the tactics of the cpu during that game?

Exact same teams (me as man city vs man u) and same tactics as well.

I'm not sure what you mean by checking tactics DURING the game... as in checking what the CPU gameplan setting is or something?

I dunno, theres just WAY too many through balls atm attempted by the AI, way more than pre-patch.

Technically the game is great, great animations, graphics etc. Concerns about off-field stuff is legitimate, but that doesn't bother me TOO much.

but as a primarily offline gamer these CPU issues are really frustrating.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

I think game is poorly optimized, and you have to seek the exact
my old pc
dualcore 2.5 GHZ 2GB
ATI radeon 6750 1gb DDR3
I'm playing on medium details, 1280x1024

Yes, it's very poorly optimised. I'm running what could be considered a lower high-end gaming PC (i5 2500k + 7950 + 8gbDDR3) and the gameplay is very smooth apart from the odd stutter here and there.

However the cutscenes run at a much lower framerate (probably 30fps like the consoles).

Also, LOD settings are far too conservative for the average gaming PC meaning things don't look as detailed as they should do.

Menus run slow and laggy - probably not optimised from the consoles.

I doubt any of this will be fixed. Some of us perhaps falsely assume that Konami care about PC gamers but the evidence suggests otherwise.

Thank god for the modders.

anyone else believe that 1.00 is best game ?

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

You guys judge the game too early. That's why so many confusing, contradiction and backtracking going on. Try to finish at least one Master League season, then you might have the clear idea of the game (against the CPU). Usually in Master League you can see all the small, continuous details. All the goods and the bads become more visible. Unlike exhibition and online when there's so much random variables.

If Konami dont fix these problems on PC then I'll ditch Konami, no doubt about it. Had enough of games being released unfinished and not fixed properly (Prototype 1 anyone? one of the most bugged games ever and didnt have a single patch for it)

I hold hope that Konami will address the many problems the PC version still has, the PC versions is pretty much that 'demo 1' which was cancelled that got leaked for ps3.

One thing I'm not liking the look of is all the guys with Core i5 or higher systems saying that the game isn't running well. If it's running badly on those systems, how's mine going to cope?
Mine runs fine mate.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500,
GPU: AMD HD 6870 1GB,
RAM: 4.Gb Corsair DDR2,
O/S: Windows 7 64bit Ultimate

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

My settings in Nvidia CP are:

Anistropic Filtering - 16x
Antialiasing - FXAA - On
Antialiasing - Mode - Override
Antialiasing - Setting - 32x CSAA
Antialiasing - Transparency - 8x (Supersample)
Power management mode - Prefer maximum performance
Texture filtering - Anistropic sample optimisation - Off
Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias - Clamp
Texture filtering - Quality - High quality
Texture filtering - Trilinear optimisation - On
Triple buffering -On

All other settings left at default values. I believe this, along with SweetFX, will get the best visual quality form the game.

thanks..

Has anyone been onto Bhatti about the PC version? I know he couldn't give a shit about anything other than PS3 but still, I'd like to know what he's got to say (probably rude and dismissive).

Eh, the PC community is neglected by virtually every major publisher. Look at EA, didn't even port their newer engine to PC lol.

Even companies like Blizzard are starting to move to consoles and offer BETTER products on consoles (Diablo 3 anyone?).

Performance issues are frustrating but I've tried pes 2014 on both my desktop (i7 3770, 660 ti - no probs at all, sweetfx etc all fine) and laptop (with a 1st gen i5 2.4 ghz ati 5650) and the game runs fine once you force vsync + triple buffering, rarely dropping frames during a game. Goal kicks etc are an issue but overall I can't really complain. Sorry if it doesn't work as well for you but tbh a lot of people have pretty shite PC's but can still run the game half decently.

The real strength of PC gaming is modding and whilst EA have tried to clamp down on that aspect of FIFA, Konami hasn't (to the same extent) and hence why they'll have my support.

I just believe it will take a little time for all these niggling issues to be ironed out (like defensive line issues) and FIFA might be a fun alternative in the mean time. But PES 2014 will be $$$ in a couple of months.

This is what I have noticed too especially the reveiwers , the more I play the more I like it, so give it a good long chance and then make your judgement.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

Vsync in PES is a must. If possible turn it on from the game launcher rather than forcing it through your control panel. And from my experience, it work best with 60Hz refresh rate. Though i'm not sure how it fare with 120Hz monitor.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

I have radeon pro but i am not seeing these options in catalyst.. can you help me out? i have a 6xxx series

Should be in the Tweaks Tab in Radeonpro. 6XXX should work as well.

Make sure you aren't forcing AA though Nvidia/AMD drivers.

thanks mate, that worked. played my first game. Maybe i got used to game but seems different then ps3 demo. I dont have lag problems with controller.
I have to admit it does seem similiar to 2013... i dont think there as many animations as i remembered from demo... let me go play demo and see

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

I used to think it was placebo but It just became evident to me that it isn't. Been playing the same game, Juventos vs Inter, with the stadiums on Random on the same conditions with neutral form and morale. All games are different! For example, the game is noticeable faster and easier on the Estadio do Escorpião.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

I said in the other thread that Konami should delegate all the online functionality to the european division, or even any third-party company. Well, PC version should too.

It's known Japanese devs don't care about PC gaming at all, as the market it's non-existent there. An European studio would truly take care about compatibles version, adding advanced settings and optimizing the game better.

Mostly neglected but not completely. Some devs take their PC versions seriously, such as Dice with Battlefield, which looks night-and-day better on PCs. Square Enix provided an HD texture pack for Sleeping Dogs on PC.

Even at a basic level, pretty much all devs include some display options in-game such as AA, AF, Ambient Occlusion, shadow quality etc. PES hasn't even got this.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

Hi all!!! long time since i posted here!.Looking through this thread it seems that Konami has screwed up the launch of this on pc,cant seem to find a digital copy anywhere and it is still not on steam despite KOnami saying it would be up on day 1,(then retracting it),anyway i have found a site that is offering this digitally now and wondered if anyelse has ever tried it.

Would like to get this game digitally if possible so if anyone has ever used gaming dragons ,can you please let me know if they are reliable?,so sick of fifa now ,really need my pes fix again. :)

Battlefield actually led on the PC as far as I can recall. I remember their quote - something along the lines of 'we're going to lead on PC and 'make it fit' on consoles'. That is how the gaming industry should work - not release everything designed to work on consoles but not exploit the fastest machines around.

The Steam thing is baffling. Waiting since July-August to preorder the game (as they supposedly said it would be in day-one at last), but nothing.

Compare it to EA, where you can preorder FIFA 14 (which I did) or Battlefield 4, 3-4 months before release. Much more professional stuff.

They're selling CD-key, taken from retail. If it was me, i would be very careful. Can't verify where their installer coming from. There's also chance the patching process will be troublesome.

This is not like Steamworks title when you just have to activate the key through Steam client and let program do the rest.
