Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

The menus are really bad isn't it? It's pretty horrific imo. Very dissapointed with the ML; when they mentioned PES 2011 training; i assumed that meant we could have the individual training with position and cards as well as the team training, but looks like we can't do that. Sigh... This sucks.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

A question for those with the game, do players still willingly pass with their weaker foot and is there a way (apart from edit mode) to force them to pass with their stronger foot?

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

I'm counting down the days, and cant wait to tuck into the league modes and champions league, too finally have the gameplay and alchemy that adds the thrills and spills of the real game has been along time coming.

For those still with Any doubt, soldier on because you will be rewarded with one of the most arresting and playable footie game ever made.

It's what we all wanted, and now it's here don't be blinded by negativity or doubt...relax,open your mind and learn to feel it..the possibilities really are endless and Konami have gifted us with a top toy set,a footie fans wet dream.
Alright, Expander, we get the point.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

YouTube - PES 2014 - Man City & Arsenal faces plus stutter in game

Man City and Arsenal faces + annoying shooting stutter from final game.

No base copy this year in edit mode and editing players faces takes aaaaages.

Editing players faces takes aaaaaaages because its a lot more detailed now and the face editor has changed a lot, so of course its going to take ages.

I think I read that base copy is being added via a patch.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

JUst a question from what I've been seeing the face creator seems the exact same thing as past years, just with a new presentation, you're able to edit, eyes, mouth, ears, etc.... from -7 to 7 like past years..... didn't see anything new..... :FAIL:

Of course maybe it's just me, and I really need to try it..... but doesn't seem that diferent to me..... I hope someone would make a good video using the tool! :TTTH:

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

I've been looking over bitters stream and i have isolated the issues with Top Player and especially Superstar and the issue defensively in general.

Player runs. The balance isn't correctly set to deal with attacking runs.

Defensives are being too early pulled out of position anytime attackers make aggressive runs or any sort of defensive line breaking move. It pulls the Defensive Back Four apart.

Looking at even the Bale goal where he nutmegs Sagna, the focus was on Scezeny spilling the shot, but the issue was Mertersacker and Vermaelen being pulled all over the place by runs.

The programming is there. Even with the responsiveness seemingly to be ok now, along with general player awareness which seems stable the Defensive line isn't balanced to work together enough.

Konami where able to effectively do this on PES 2013 really, really well, this in theory should be sorted without any issues, it's there because like i've been saying for a while now. This isn't PES on the PS2, PES 2009 or even PES 2013 where Konami have had a long time to tweak the game, they themselves are still getting to know the depth and balance and things like this are to be expected.

The best thing we can do is properly investigate the cause and effect of each problem and state what can and has been done. Just shouting abuse and moaning 'Defensive AI is all broken' I don't feel right, helps nobody.

Exactly my thoughts, btw. By the end of the day it is always up to us to correct these mechanics by messing with the database and the tactical setups.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Folks will be calling me Adam next or Konami pr....just the voice of a fan who has had Konami games lighting up my life since the early nineties.

I've dipped a toe in with friends in the ea realms but mostly remained true and could see the faults with previous iterations of pes,so I'm not blinkered or in denial.

Pes2014 is what it is,the dribbling and r2 mechanic is relatively simple to master and the central driving force for the gameplay and everything just works, there's no conspiracy nor is there any underlying flaw at the core of the game.

This is a game built from the ground up but it doesn't ignore or re-write a lot of what the we team had laid in place over the last 4 years, hence the finished and refined feel of the game.

It's not like this is a beta,or something that needs much improvement.

Just goes to show all pes needed this gen was the tech, the facets and principles of footie were there,it was just the tech ie physics and animation limiting the core concept and ultimately how it played out for the user.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Like Lami said, putting the retail PS3 version on -1 speed, the game feels a lot more fluid, just like bitter streams on XBOX version.

It's like that on PS3 0 speed some frames are lost, and on -1 you can see them properly.

BTW, stutters happens at least 5 times per game. It's super annoying.

This is the biggest mistake with lower frame cinematics, it seems that this time Konami did the inverse process, they ported from the PC version to consoles, and very poorly optimized.

Something says to me that PC version will be monstrously beautiful.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Oh by the way thanks to fucking nobody here, chip shot on manual is L1 plus shoot they seem to have removed the low and high trajectory for just 1 option. Why konami why

Secondly what is it going to take to make people believe that L1 and directional sticks are close control?

Phew stick that on the back of the box.

I reckon you'll give jimmy a run for his money :D

And some............. As articulate as the sheer beauty of it's prose.

A+ Sir, bravo old bean. The benchmark has been raised.....

Here are a few snippets taken from my Beautiful Game article ...

- The Beautiful Game -

It ignites a burning passion from within, evoking a myriad of emotions that although seldom understood, captivates the mind and soul of its fanatical advocates. It transcends cultures, unites nations, and converges denominations. It is universally acknowledged and widely recognised as the world’s definitive language. Football is more than just a sport; for it’s disciples it’s a religion. A complete way of life in it’s own unique entirety.

The late great Bill Shankly summarised it best when he delivered those immortal words that will forever be echoed within the sanctuaries of soccer; "Some people think football's a matter of life and death. I can assure them it is much more serious than that". And for every devotee of the game, never has there been a truer word spoken.

The footballing philosphy adopted by Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka and Co. for their Pro Evolution Soccer series over the years has been nothing short of pure undiluted genius. Never in football video game history has any development team recreated the Beautiful Game in such a frighteningly realistic manner.

Understanding the fundamentals of football, and the respective techniques within the game have been paramount for Konami to achieve their unparralleled success. The key factor, and the ongoing hallmark of the series lies within the emphasis on player individuality. In order to truly imitate and reproduce football on an interactive video gaming platform, you need to simulate what you covert.

Konami have always held this philosophy in high regard, and thus produced a database of players, each of which, are independently exclusive to the next.

This idiology has ensured that no one player ever comprises the same skillset, this in turn guarantees that you always have 22 individual players collectively combining to create a completely unique team. The infinite amount of variables this system can deliver assures limitless eventualities. This secures the magical ‘No game is ever the same’ feeling, a longstanding trademark of the Pro Evolution Soccer series.

The sheer unpredictability factor of football is what Konami have understood and replicated perfectly. This in turn is what produces the classic ‘jumping out of your seat moments’ that have become synonymous with the brand.

From a technical standpoint, Pro Evolution Soccer has no peers. The vast depth of the gameplay, and the technical brilliance with regards mimicking real life proficiency, is what makes PES the footballers choice.

Applying the same fundemental tendencies of the real game within Pro Evolution Soccer is undoubtabley the most satisfying way to play Konami’s pièce de résistance. The awareness of angles, posture, passing percentages, and fair play, and the utilising of the aforementioned traits, are what ensure a fulfilling and pleasurable gaming experience. If your of a likeminded mentality, and appreciate, acknowledge Pro Evolution Soccer, then welcome to The Beautiful Game.

Carlsberg don't make football simulations, but if they did, it would probably be the 2nd best football reproduction in the world......

PES 2014, the epitome of genius personified......

End of story. Period. And that is all she wrote....

LOB shoots will be an exploit in online this year, if they dont fix it. They are extremelly easy to do with any player. 90% of LOB shots are goal...

I'm honoured for the mere comparison ..... ;)

Edit - (In hindsight, I feel mentally raped at the thought of Expander being my doppelgänger, or brother to another mother....

Is any one kind enough to make a video/image... of Australia NT team, faces and stats? :PIG:

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Dear Bitter_Rivals:

Would you be so kind as to select the option to "allow your Past Broadcasts" on Twitch.tv? I would greatly appreciate that.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

PPL complaining about the demo, HAVE YOU WATCHED any of Bitter's recent streams? Responsiveness and player awareness has been fixed. What is wrong w/ you ppl? lol... The game is out for many ppl. What is the point in complaining about the 2nd demo when its clear to see that the issues are resolved?

my recent broadcasts seem to be greyed out. not sure what has happened to them?
