all i can say is that i am so happy to say that i am not feeling the problems described on these pages. i'm finding it very hard to score and the cpu is playing some great football. i play a very defensive setup with only one combination play, and only for the centre forward. i dont have players bombing forward and my through balls are dificult to pull off. if its an illusion, then i jut want keep living that dream...

Many of the moans have been about the full game. When criticizing the full game, we have to remember the alleged "day 1" patch, but also video compression. I for one have to judge myself by playing it, but i guess we can trust someone who has played the demo(s) and the full game.

Pretty sure only about 3 ppl in here have the full game.. The negativity toward the full game is extremely exaggerated as mild disdain becomes total indifference. There is no constructiveness in it. THERE are ppl who are simply saying "Oh no it won't be fixed", or "Oh no, Konami always make the full game worse". It's actually hard to read these comments over and over again. I am very encouraged by the full game videos. They look much more fluid than the demo. That said, AN INCREASE IN RESPONSIVENESS will LOGICALLY make the game seem easier and more expressive. IT is not that the game has been 'dumbed down'. PES is known for being an esoteric game anyway.

Believe me, fluidity is not a problem in the full game.

The problems with the full game are:
*Shooting (too floaty and lack of variation).
*Referees.
*Players awareness (not as bad as in the Demos, but still an issue).

Unless I have missed a post I haven't read anyone complaining full game being played on superstar. Correct me if I'm wrong please

To me, those are easy to fix, at least on PC. So there. Disregarding the imminent day 1 patch. The few issues are NOT gamebreaking imo. They are minimal and easy to fix. Some think that picking at every flaw makes sense and is objective. iF you find a flaw, its best to see whether other face this. Then, attempt to relate the consensual issue to Adam. When will ppl on here realise that games are NEVER perfect. There will ALWAYS be an unsatisfied customer. Some ppl will even say its more arcadey than FIFA.

To be honest it seems just like PES 2014 was overhyped.People should understand that,even if it's using Fox Engine,the game will be very limited on current gen consoles in terms of A.I, graphics fidelity and animations.
Not to say i expect anything special from PES 2015 on next-gen,let's not forget they were unable to create more than 5 generic stadiums and more than 200 realistic faces and Konami dosn't seem to invest too much money on creating PES...
The sad truth is our only hope for a true football simulation is someone outside of EA Sports/Konami.

Referees are quite terrible, so many standing tackles not given in this demo; should be priority number one to fix. They should also add at least 50 percent more power for the shooting. Right now, i'm compensating by using Advance shooting(so that it won't balloon over) and hitting it full bar.

I've always wondered why both FIFA and PES likes to lock you into animations. I do understand that they are trying to implement realistic momentum and inertia; I mean why not allow us to move within the animations, even if the player most likely would fall over, or lose balance. Those little adjustments of feet or body movement within our control will unlock a whole new depth to the game play. Imagine being able to control our body movements during a slide tackle or a collision to gain an upper hand.

EDIT:

You don't have to sacrifice responsiveness for realistic physics; it seems that both Konami and EA do not understand that.

None of the issues I stated are gamebreakers for me AND I AM a happy customer so far. I've just played a Champions League and I'm enjoying it.

However I do not see how the lack of variation in shooting could be fixed on PC. I can imagine how people like Jenkey can fix the shooting being too floaty, and players awareness/reaction and perhaps even referees (although I think it's a matter of coding more than applying more strictness to them), but I think adding variation to the shots would be virtually impossible. Because it would require adding animations... and how would anyone (except Konami) do that?.


I like expressing what I think it's wrong with the game, because I don't live in a fairy tale. But I also like saying that I'm enjoying PES 2014 more than any other PES (including PES 5 and 6) and more than any FIFA's, cuz it's also only fair to say this.

That requires more complex calculation, and rework to the physics and animation system. Maybe next time on much recent hardware & platform.

I'm gonna have to correct you, then. Klashman has warned everybody countless times that SUPERSTAR Level is broken. But I understand the Thread's been growing so fast that I reckon it's hard to keep up.

The official demo got this person seal of approval. He absolutely hated the last 3 PES, especially PES 2013. He's like vital (WENB) of PESFAN, and he doesn't let other people opinion influence his'.

So many conflicting feedback. People can believe in whatever they want to. More reason for me to try the game by myself.

I appreciate PES for what it is. Different. As a long time FIFA fan who grew up playing that franchise instead of the PES/ISS franchise I really enjoy PES for its "Boutique Software" feel. Very niche game made by a unique set of people with a distinct culture and that ethos is translated through their game in a myriad of ways.

I do not want PES to do the things that FIFA does well, I do not want FIFA to do the things that PES does well(I am a hater like that) because I feel that would dilute and take away the characteristics that give both franchises their edge.

I have taken a Zen like approach to the game with me being patient and just waiting on it. Heck I still have to wait for the Mods to do their thing, to really enjoy the game to the level I want.

The proof it seems is always in the demo. 10 11 13 and 14's demo all were good and barring 14 I enjoyed the full games as well. Nothing can dampen my excitement for this game. Because we all know that for as many annoyances, bugs, niggles, ghosting, clipping, floaty shot, catch up bug crap..etc. that we will all have to inevitably put up with to enjoy the game. The other game will have its fair share of issues to.

I think it is also our fault Konami released a demo which is not final code and the fact that they are unable to promote the PC version of the game worries a lot of people.We have no idea how the game looks and plays on PC,it might be a horrible port...who knows?!
That is what happens when you can't release a PC demo, people would judge the game based on 30 fps highly compressed videos of the console version.

So just noticed that there's not a Konami League, so i can't make a custom league with 4 teams to play with my mates at home and have some beers.
Another year using a pencil and paper, without players getting accumulated fatigue, cards counting or injuries. Really Konami? Why?

I always saw the League Menu without enter on it because i assumed that Konami League will be back. But NO. Only all the leagues by countries, by choosing 8 teams minimum limited by the teams of the proper leagues.
So another year where can't play a league with Juventus, Man City, Bayern and Chelsea with my friends, i just can't again.

The game it's so great and i can't enjoy it properly with my friends? Why Konami removed the custom league? :RANT:

But here's the unusual thing. There's a Konami CUP! WHY?? I don't f*king know.

Use the mypes app to do custom leagues, it's not that bad

Can anybody tell me how to perform low shots? I've tried everything I read. Pressing triangle after powering up the bar. L1 is for lobbing the ball. R1 is for finesse shots. It's driving me insane.

Also, would be lovely if someone could explain the whole weight shifting thing, which I still don't get.

Animation from this penalty is enough for me this year.. i see one handed save with left hand when GK try to reach middle to top corner of left side. Something i miss from PES all this years. Have a look at 14:00.

Is this animation available during normal play (outside penalty) cause i have not seen one.

Hm, strange. Hitting Y immediately after I push the shoot button seems to work for me. :THINK: That's what I did for this goal:

Sometimes knuckle shots are low as well.

Swear to God I can't do it. I tried with Messi in free-training and it was literally impossible. Tried every combination that I could think of.

Maybe it's because I changed the controls. Swtiched square with circle and R1 with R2. But it shouldn't be a problem.
