I like a more simple and effective ML but the news make it appear like it's too simple

Is player records or team records still there? Is club ranking still there?

Sorry,but we deserve a lot more than what they gave us.
Gameplay is fundamental but modes,options and online are important too

Adam just told me the lack of generic stadiums is due to timing and there is unlikely to be any stadium DLC

After play these demos I can really see the positive affects Adam is having on the game since his arrival at konami. It's no coincidence that this is the best PES in years and it has happened since his employment. Glad he's there to filter out the noise and focus on the football.

Have to disagree with this. The real work goes on in Japan.

Adam has had a few arguments on Twitter and got himself along to all the events. Bit of a non-job really. Konami PR is still poor.

TBH mate this game is a shit load better then old PES games from the ps2 days. This game is nothing like those PES games mate

I still think KONAMI should assign the development of modes, online and everything else except gameplay to KONAMI UK developers

It's obvious that KONAMI Japan still struggles to create a complete game.

Ok go and see if you and about 20 developers can build a footy sim from scratch using a new engine in less then 2 years time bug free and playbale on both 360, ps3 and PC.

seriously get off your high horse. Most games take 2+ years to make with 100s of developers working on it.

If you was to give Konami 3 years to make a footy sim, they would include more game modes and content

Think of Advanced shooting as when you aim penalties in FIFA. Where the normal shooting allows you to aim in a certain direction of the goal (middle, left, right) and then apply power to control the elevation of the shot (low power for a low groundshot and more power for a higher and higher shot), Advanced Shooting instead allows you to move the "crosshairs" over the entire goalmouth, meaning not only can you aim left or right, you can also aim higher or lower. Pressing the stick towards the goal aims higher and higher, leaving the stick centered along that axis will aim in the middle of the goal, and moving the stick more and more towards your own goal aims lower and lower. So if you want your player to aim for the lower left corner, you aim left like you have always done in PES of FIFA, but you then also move the stick towards your own goal aswell. Conversely, aiming for the top left corner will have you moving the stick left, but also towards the opponent goal.

In the demo you will bu default get a graphic on the opponent goal when powering up a shot, showing you where you are aiming. Since this is an analog system, you can tilt the stick halfway in a direction to reduce the risk of shooting wide. Also the power now does not exclusively control elevation (though it will affect it I believe) so the amount of power you apply will have to be judged more depending on how accurate you want the shot.

It will take some getting used to, once the full game is released I plan on spending a few hours on the training mode just shooting, shooting, shooting. A similar system was in ISS 64/98/2000 and I am glad a modern game finally decided to take a more logical approach to aiming and shot power by giving you discreet control over both.

Agree,i don't know why they don't do it. DLC stadiums are already available so it can be done.Stadium can be added with DLCs.
But they don't want to do it,i really don't know why

Really!? I'm skipping past players with Ronaldo and hammering R1 to get away from the defender but within a split second Chris Smalling has caught up with him with what I can only describe as a nitros boost.
Strangely, once the defender catches up the speed evens out

I'm having no issue getting past players or beating them with speed either. People need to learn the game from scratch and let it come to them, i guess patience is a rarity in todays world.

Guys what do you think about passing system?

The feeling, animations are great, but what i don't like too much is lack of freedom. I mainly use 2 bar assistance, and i can't feel free to pass with some variation. It seems that pass lock the player position and not the space or not based on the power bar. I'm talking about short and long passes. Not through or long through passes.

I think that they changed since pes 2012 and in pes 2014 is the same system. The best system for me was the we9le (or pes 5) and after that pes 2011.

ps i'm not fan of manual btw.

Why do the players go daft in the box? Only bug bear for me in this marvellous demo. And oh yes the fucking 5 min thing is annoying I'm a 15min man which doesnt help

Some kind of outside influence could be beneficial, whether that be from the UK or anywhere else.

They have an excuse this time, they have a brand new engine, we dont understand how much time it must take to create everything like they have, you moan more than Victor Meldrew.

However, if they dont add a considerable amount more for PES 2015 *THEN* we have a reason to be pissed.

To create such a masterpiece with a brand new engine at first attempt is bloody fantastic, well done Konami. I honestly thought it would take a couple of years for the game to turn into what we want, but it seems we've got it straight away :)

Advanced shooting and through balls are bizarre, I don't like them. I might just stick to basic. I'm sure you can still get accuracy without them.

Some questions though;

Is there no more off the ball player control? Can't find it anywhere.

How come just a double tap of the cross button hits a low cross now? Have they removed the triple-tap method?

Some other observation; a nice touch is when you score, the announcer says the name of the goals for and the crowd cheers the name.

The heart feature isn't getting a look in as yet, I'm guessing the games are too short, but is there a way you can tell each player's status without going to the tactics screen?

Despite my criticism of the graphics I'm coming around to them now, daylight lighting is nice and replays are stunning up close. Foot planting into the turf is amazing.

Despite that, smaller, fast players don't look right. They're too skinny and run way too fast. Lahm is a case in point. His legs move like he's on fast forward.

Finally, why does anyone think the faces are so bad? Piqué of Spain is laughable. I had to check the name on the back of his shirt to identify him. Was it a case of Konami not having time to do them properly?
