Hi.

Ive been playing the demo for about a day now, and play it on manual controls, and i have an issue that i just cant seem to find the solution for anywhere.

Basically when i come forward an play crosses into the box, my players never head the ball, they dont even jump to attempt it. There has been times when they are both callenged, and times when alone, and still nothing. When alone all they do is chest it down and volley it eventually. I can win defensive headers perfectly well, i just cant do it in the opposition box. After playing about 20 games in the demo ive not won a single attacking header. Has enyone else encountered this? Any solutions? I wasnt sure if they had changed the controls or not.

Also, ive tried the placed shots, and on every occasion the ball flies over the bar even with the tiniest power on the bar. Again does anyone know what im doing wrong here?

The game has been brilliant so far apart from these two niggles that have bugged me from the start.

I have to agree, Winning Eleven feels like a more advanced code, I was disappointed with the uk demo for ps3 until I played this version.

It feels that bit quicker and smoother, framerate is better and game is more balanced. If the retail version is like this I'd be very happy.

Can you fully control keepers in 2014? I am not taking about 2013 messy L1+r3 or simple run to the ball triangle. I am taking about useful left stick directional diving control. I think I saw something like this in preview of a new PES.

Rumours are Konami will be adding no stadiums as DLC apart from the two announced so that is 20 for the whole year

No manager creator, no staff roles(coach,scout etc) very,very basic training options, probably worse load times and literally 0 depth. Anyway there is no separate manager section to look at your individual records or how your teams have done or how highly rated you are or agents or anything. It's as barebones as a mode can be. In a year where we have seen great depth in fifa's career mode I really hoped konami would have made this a hidden gem but unfortunately they have instead brought in stuff and taken all substance away.

Btw this has nothing to do with gameplay as my feelings on that are positive. But it's a huge downer playing this mode which is really the blandest manager mode I've played . :roll:

I'm scared now since they said they have made BAL and ML less complicated or whatever they said. So if ML is now bare bones, I guess BAL, that was already pretty bare bone to me, is even more simplified :(

Player awareness is really bad in this game. Plus some usual catchup and invisible walls mix.

I still like this game way more than FIFA and I am really happy to know that pressing the shooting button twice takes away some of the floating effect.

I dont see the catch up bug

I did notice that sprinting without the ball has a great realstic feeling, can you can really feel the acceleration when theres space

I feel that 1 bar is a bit broken, low passes (a) or harder too pull of that long passes (b) that aint right

I use manual shot if i want to hit it with some serious, brute force. It's hard, but if ou time it well you can smash them in.

the UK version is far, far better, much better responsiveness, especially in regards to dynamic 1-2 pass.

Yea, it is. Tapping the R1 button to get out of trouble and while sprinting is a lot more effective too.

What was the rationale for taking the power out of the shots? Was it like this in 2013 too? I remember shooting in 2011 to be good and it's the last I played. Ppl on wenb are making lots of noise on this and it's said shooting to be fixed in a day 1 patch? If so anyone have a link or Twitter announcement link?
