Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

I checked in there and it wasn't showing any files on the USB drive. Just triple-checked the guide and my file structure seems fine on the USB drive too so not sure why the 360 isn't seeing anything.

You MUST format usb through Xbox. Configure it,then open usb on PC,and put demo on usb with tool called HORIZON. :BYE:

I'd imagine you wouldn't over a demo

Sorry mate,i dont understand :(

Did you configure the usb on the xbox before connecting usb to pc?

Yep. And using the Xtaf tool then showed the correct file structure etc.

Currently got Data\Content\00000000(etc)\4B4E885B\ and inside that last folder is the BDAC... 1.8GB file. Tried different USB ports in the 360 but just refuses to see the files.

Already formatted through the 360. Just formatted again, is there a guide for using Horizon for demos?

Edit: Nevermind, looks like it picked up the drive and possibly just a case of clicking "inject"...

Looks like Horizon worked, copying to 360 now...

Demo is available on USA PSN Store but not to everybody yet, currently is under maintenance and shortly would be available to download for all.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

I know it's early days (honeymoon period and all that) and I try not to get ahead of myself, but this is the best PES since PES 6. It's also the best football game I've ever played. I know people have said as much since PES 2011, but I honestly believe it. It's really starting to click.

It finally feels like a game that can stand on its own two feet. A month or so down the line some nasty issues will inevitably rear their head and the game will lose a bit of its shine. Is it perfect? No, and I'm sure we'll all have a long list of suggested improvements for 2015 come this time next year. With that said, I don't view this year's effort and say to myself, "I can see where they're going with this. They've made some good improvements and it'll be interesting to see how the game develops over the next few years." Not that they can't improve upon 2014, but I'm playing a well realized football game, not a continual work in progress that the last few PES games have felt like. That's the difference.

In a lot of ways, it's almost as if PES 2014 is a spiritual successor (or a reboot) and not actually a sequel. It plays and looks so much different than its predecessors, but yet it still feels like PES. Playing any previous PES/FIFA game is unimaginable to me at this point.

Yep. Even the buggy leaked demo feels that way to me.

My sentiments exactly. Is there still a major slow down and button lag when the ball enters the box?

Major slowdown? No way. Maybe because I'm on the 360 as compared to the leaked PS3 version?

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Game feels slow but that's because it's locked on 0 speed in the Xbox demo. Liking it a lot though. Feels very fluid and I love the customization option with the camera angles beyond words. Physical collisions feel good and you feel like you're playing with solid players rather than sprites. Player reactions seem a little sluggish but that's as much because the game speed as anything for me.

If this is the final code I'd be happy but if this is only the 90% version and they don't arse it up with the remaining 10%, we've got a lot to be happy about.
