@Jacob9121 so we released ML news yesterday, and mode news today. If you're going to troll, do it right.

This guy :APPLAUD: He has a bright future as comedian. So Konami Japan releases some info containing modes that he wasn't even aware of, and now he's saying they announced modes?

I'm not that bothered about the swapping clubs element of ML to be honest. I always play as a created team.

I would be interested in the international option though. I wonder if it runs alongside the club element and it mimics World Cup qualifying and tournaments rather than a league set up.

fair enough, the guy gets through a million tweets per second it's hard to keep track of, fair play.

Of course if Konami put out a proper press release detailing the game's modes, Adam wouldn't have to let drips and drabs of info out on Twitter. It's unprofessional that most of the info about the game so far has come from a leaked demo, rumours and fansites.

All I can tell is changing clubs and managing your national team so far mate.

News isn't far off anyway now :)

Thanks for confirmation mate... changing club is finally good news.

Very disappointed though by Bhatti's tweet about the Transfers system built form PES2013, it's really a shame they can't get it right when it comes to transfers/trading simulation.

Simulation, men.

Would be nice with some news to hype up the game before demo hits.

The transfer system in PES2013 is completely broken, values make absolutely no sense, AI signings make absolutely no sense, it's an utter embarrassment and if it's not improved for PES2014 I'm certainly not buying it, with ML being so shallow transfers is the only real aspect that stirs things up.

As you know, I've put in a transfer request...

Yeah, it's really a joke

Adam yesterday tweeted that now transfer signings are much more advanced with chance of signings in percentage being a lot more precise

Club rankings and results now are a lot more important when trying to sign a player

And what about AI teams signing a 34 year old 74 rated player for £4m and someone else signing a 22 year old 76 rated player for £800k? Values so messed up it's unreal!

Placebo is completely right.

It's kind of unnerving ML didn't change that much (sometimes for worse) in the last 6 years. FIFA's Career mode is so much better in all aspects, it's not arguable at this point.
Sure gameplay is fundamental, but if the modes are low-quality, this game will be boring after 2 months.

OK, don't worry, 'cause PES 2015 is the real deal /s.

obviously i don't know, just reporting what Adam said

TBH i prefer playing ML over Career Mode simply because of how PES represents football gameplay wise, tactically as well. It allows me to actually sit and play through ML (ignoring its flaws). Never been able to replicate that with fifa. The gameplay does not compliment its Career mode IMHO. Gameplay lacks depth unlike its career mode.

A bit of an enigma to me.

Sorry my comment was more meant rhetorically than directed at you, I didn't mean to shoot the messenger ;)

Placebo can You explain me why CM in Fifa is better than ML in Pes?

Proper English league/cup structure and rules
Transfer/finance/wages system that isn't fundamentally broken
Licensed Sheffield Wednesday
Stuff that happens (not just "as you know I've handed in a transfer request")
Stories, presentation
Commentary

I know to many people all of the above is shallow and not remotely important, I respect that obviously, for me I want as near as possible a gaming experience akin to the real life experience of managing/playing Sheffield Wednesday.

Not been called up for a National job yet. Maybe a good season in Brazil will get me an offer. cAME 2nd in Serie A behind...Juve :( #PES2014

Adam Bhatti ‏@Adam_Bhatti 20h
The good thing about job offers in #PES2014 is that you get a huge list of choices depending on your success, across all leagues in the game

Adam Bhatti ‏@Adam_Bhatti 19h
@Jack94_ @Don_abdullah18 yes. A new MLO. I want to detail them, but we will try and reveal them properly

Adam Bhatti ‏@Adam_Bhatti 19h
We do have new moments in the game when you win/lose leagues, and a brilliant CL presentation. Not that I saw, knocked out QF :( #PES2014

Adam Bhatti ‏@Adam_Bhatti 19h
.@lauriestokes123 @a__polo Transfer system built from PES 2013. Deeper % parameter of likely to join, with new club ranking having an impact

Adam Bhatti ‏@Adam_Bhatti 19h
@Sweat_Dogg yes mate. But it's deeper. No usual 2% stuff or 100%. Using the full scale. Plus club ranking counts, and how successful you are

Have to say, BAL is tough. Make sure you pick your clubs wisely. Move too soon, and you won't get game time. Bide your time padawon #PES2014

Adam Bhatti ‏@Adam_Bhatti 19h
.@Estadox no, boot boosting and purchasing items to boost performance taken out. Simulation.

Adam Bhatti ‏@Adam_Bhatti 19h
@Morlio18 well you'll want to play the new and improved League mode. News coming.

Yeah I tried both modes and despite its lack of depth, ML hooks me miles more thsn FIFAs Career Mode. It must be partly due to the gameplay, partly due to using default crappy players and building a club from nothing.

That said, how hard is it for Konami to sort out fixture scheduling and enable the player to conduct their own transfers? It's a complete joke of a system. During the last ML I played, I had an 89 rated player. Similarly rated players in the game were worth £20 million at least, but because the game doesn't let you even set a valuation on your own players, the game rated him at £700,000. I then had about five bids a week, all frickin' season long, of about £1m for an 89 rated player from teams way down the leagues compared to mine.

In true PES logic, the game would make your player hand in a transfer request if you turned down any bids - regardless of the club.

If you were to apply the same logic in real life, just imagine Tottenham being forced to value Gareth Bale at £1m and then him handing a transfer request because you turned down a £1m offer from Stoke.

The same logic applies in ML.

Career mode on Fifa is what i will miss when playing this as Placebo said the two are completely different fifa wins by far.

I think gameplay wise though PES is the best i seen it in years and look forward to playing the second demo. Imagine the fox engine next year on next gen consoles i think EA are in trouble if they dont do something.

Been watching Bitter stream quite abit although clearly alot of mistakes and very buggy its like a diamond in the rough. Some of animations are amazing best i seen in a football game the way dynamic movement can happen is awesome.

I was wondering would it be possible for someone to create a mod for PES 14 this year to include an authentic manager mode, I know it would be alot of work but it would be awesome?

The thing with FIFA CM, it has too much text, less visual presentation. It is superficial to me and get old very quick. While PES sometime is guilty with it's superfluous presentation. The key is more variable. Make it feels like you're not separated with your club and other stuff that happens around you (other league, club, player progression).

For example in the old PS2 days, you can train your player individually and there was a separate training section. Stuff like this make you feel connected to your club.

Dude, your post came out of nowhere and I have no prior knowledge regarding last year's release...

Meu deus! Tudo burro agora não sabem inglês nenhum.

I said that Israel can be the first to receive the game.
Because it happened last year and will staff resorted piracy!

lol, se tivesses dito isso logo à partida, acho que podias ter evitado esta porrada de comentários toda. Nem todos leem diariamente o que se passa acerca do universo PES. Que foi o meu caso.

Sorry for the ignorance and thank you for taking the time to enlighten me.

Occasionally folks here in the forum is cat ace shoe older people.

Never felt the individuality in FIFA to be honest. Certainly nowhere near the level in PES.
If people only knew... I've been editing both games for years. One major difference between the two games has to do with how player ratings interact with the game engine. Pass, cross and dribble ratings in PES are qualitative ratings. The higher the rating, the better the player is at that particular skill. Which is what one would expect and how it should be with a sports sim.

In FIFA, pass, cross and dribble ratings are quantitative values. Those ratings do not affect and determine CPU ability, they instead determine how often the CPU will perform each particular skill. IMO it's the #1 issue with FIFA's game coding, and why their NG player ratings system and game engine need to be ditched and reprogrammed from scratch. But I doubt that will happen.
