These things should be repaired. Or just simply remove the dots from online play...

Exactly mate. There may not be time to repair it, but I would imagine it can't be that hard to get a quite game day update so the dots are removed for online or whatever?

It'll go exactly how you say with the corners and the free-kicks. There is a sort of 'sweet spot' that with enough practice everyone will find the trick of and they'll be flying in. All it takes is one idiot to work this out, post online and that's is pes14 online is fucked up.

i really do not like this feature. it sounds like a cop-out to me. why can't TACTICS be implemented on the TACTICS board? i dont want to faff around with the timing and pressing of buttons to initiate team plays, it would be so much more natural if you selected the plays in the tactics and set them to "how often: rarely, normal, often". this way you would have to keep aware of your team and look out for when they make the moves, and then act upon them if you wish.

you know what annoys me? the fact that this has probably been the most feedback (due to the obvious ridiculous of it no doubt) aspect of the game in all the user comments and previews, yet everytime adam bhatti has swatted them away saying "it's not that easy! it's good! you haven't even tried it! you won't be able to score easily!"

i will be so perplexed if konami allow this elephant of a mechanism to slither it's way into the final game
 
Not that I'm expecting anything, but there hasn't been any word about regens has there? I mean we all should expect 17-year old copies of all the famous players a few years into our Master League?

I beg to differ. Sweet is a goal that's honest and properly earned. That goal was a freebee due to the obviously flawed GK logic. That's not sweet, that's cheap.

Ok, here's my video. Unfortunetly the quality is very bad ( I recorded from my Iphone and upoaded in HD, it shouldn't look that bad:P) and the video is very short, but it's an example of dribbling without using right stick nonetheless.

There are tons of dribbling variations you can get from simply tapping R1.

I wish I knew how to produce quality videos with good editing, so I could make a compilation just showing these dribblings.

Your opinion.

My opinion: IRL GKs make wrong decisions and doesn't take away the shot and goal were sweet. Loved it.

Well Adam Bhatti is free to contact me. My reply would be '"Yes it is FAR too easy" and would be happy to tell him exactly hows it's done.

Like I said before, hopefully it's not in, or it can just be disabled online which will solve the problem to an extent.

Baffling why it's in, asking for trouble really. No surprise there is an obvious exploit.

What I don't understand, is what was wrong with free kicks and corners previously? They were about right IMO.

How long were you a PES player for? PES always had abilities in addition to stats. Abilities just got switched to cards not long ago. Same-o.
 
I've personally loved the introduction of cards (minus speed merchant). I always look for cheap players with cards on MLO at the start, you can get some gems with the previous pinpoint pass card for peanuts, so I'll be looking out for one of those to go with my hard man enforcer/anochorman, probably Arevalo Rios again!

They haven't actually got rid of the Speed Merchant Card as many requested, just changed the bloody name of it. Like that makes it any better !! :(

most of them make absolutely no sense. "pinpoint pass card".... erm, is there not already a passing stat? speed merchant? they should all be removed and be based on stats. anchorman? you mean if i want a player with certain defensive stats but want to use his ability further up the pitch, i cannot do this because of a magic card that says otherwise? so nonsensical

Fucksake and you accuse me of talking shit 97% of the time.

Player cards were introduced to the PES (pro evolution soccer) series to differentiate the abilities that certain key players have. Pirlo, Xavi et al have the ability to pick out a pass that is perfectly executed its called the weighted pass card.

PES is stats based and these attribute cards allow to separate these players from other similar players that have the ability but lack the class / vision to pull it off, neither of which can be replicated in a videogame without these "magic cards"
