:OT: :)) :OT:

Guys just a question!

When I download a Update/DLC, do I lose all my edit teams, players,

tactics, etc..... cause they say that they will give us a lot of

DLCs.... but I don't wan't to lose all my transfers everytime that

they release something!

HAHA. Remember when Asim said it looked and felt like PES13? What a joke of a person. And ppl took him seriously. He just has resentment against PES of late. He heaped praise on NG and said that any praise PES got was pure politics.. Lets agree to never listen to 'Ass'im again...

So far i have nothing to complaint yet. I'm more concerned about the tactical aspect than anything.

Is the game now able to make full use of all eleven player on the pitch? That's always one of my most wanted wishlist. To me that is even more important than fancy animation, goalkeeping, menu and shooting.

In any of previous edition, even back in it's glory day (PS2), it doesn't matter if you play with less than 11 man as long as your star player still in your squad. Sometime you don't even have to bother to fill the gap due to sending off, let alone make any tactical switch.

I always found this unrealistic. Maybe because in the past the series prioritized pace and power over tactic, brawn over brain. This is something that PES have in common with FIFA. Hopefully this time it will be a different direction, more tactical-oriented.

Yeah, looking back, and at some of the things he has said lately, I think he's aiming for something on the FIFA side of things.

Agreed, seems he has a few issues.

Who said that dribbling in this game is hard ? Once you get the hang of tapping R1 in the right time and direction, it really isn't that hard and that makes the game even more enjoyable.

You can make this natural burst with R1 moving to many directions, you can mix it with the use of R2 to stop the ball quickly and trick, it is so simple and intuitive and yet it has such depth and variations, it's just brilliant, the best dribbling mechanics in a football game ever.

Amen. My initial thoughts exactly. It's about about R2, taps of sprint to cover the available distance, then R2/L1 to mix it up. Unlimited potential, variation and multiplied infinitely by varying player stats and cards. It's about replicating balance, shifting of weight, angles, touch and perfect timing. That's dribbling, and that's what's required to achieve this complex skill in the PES, via user input. That's how you replicate technique in a true football simulation.

This is a constant evolution, and a leap further from last year.

And it will tighten up with the full release, can't wait.

Oh, and funnily enough I'm currently listening to Deacon Blue's greatest hits. Love that band, cos I'm Real Gone Kid, not only on a Wages Day.....! :)

Where has this Asim gone? Around that time, he was very enthusiastic. It all change after the debacle last month.

Jimmy spot on as always. May be they should give you the community officer job.;)

I'd kill for Jon Murphys job, I know exactly what Konami's differing ideologies are striving to achieve, and I appreciate everything that's done well and the same that needs improving. And as a writer and a fan, I've always felt I could breakdown for us Europeans what these clever little chaps are creating, and consequent visions.

I'm still convinced my Dynamic Form idea was picked up from here, and the basis for the new Heart feature. it's far too coincidental and recreated as mentioned. Or maybe not. Either way the theory is in, and that's all that matters.

Anyway vote for me bud and I will start my run for office....!!

But hey, thanks for the kind words Homes, appreciated as always ;)

(Adam's role is bittersweet for me, I'd have loved that role, but can deny and respect how he made it happen, regardless of what I think of him personally, or his knowledge of football and all the relevant techniques)

I've been watching Bitter Rivals stream for the past 20 minutes. One of the biggest problems I've spotted is that teammates on the player's team look so uninterested in coming to you to receive a pass. That seems to make play really difficult, especially when the player ends up having nowhere to go and nobody to pass to. It looks as if they only react once you try to pass to them or they want to make a forward run (which is effectively just running away from you).

I'm wondering what the impressions are of this for people who've played the game. Definitely looks to me like it presents a problem with playing the ball through the middle.

Also the game looks better with the camera zoomed in. It's a lot clearer what's going on and seems like it might be easier to play that way. Thanks for streaming BR.

I do find that but it might have something to do with me paying manual and slow build up as the ball cannot get to the man quick sometimes.

The ball I have difficulty with is the one into the midfield, for example to Pirlo

i like to work the ball and create space for that pocket to play in to but just can't get the ball right into that position.

Camera zoomed in helped response times and you could focus on your touches and body position which is important on this game.

I feel like I say this every year, but I desperately need a further-out camera. I thought with customisable cameras this problem would finally be solved, but you can only go slightly further than wide right now. Ridiculous.

I cannot play on manual if I can't see who I'm bloody passing to. I'm surprised more people don't find this to be a problem. I know PES has been like this for a long time, but that's no justification. The radar is sort of OK if you're using assisted passes, but it's totally unsuitable for manual. I don't feel like I can see far enough in any direction.

Nothing annoys me more every match with the kick off, when it's really zoomed out, then it zooms in, and in, and in, and suddenly I can't actually see my rightback from the center of the defence.

Thanks (Jim) G-Force coming to the boards and posting somebody before had made reference to Deacon Blue being a Scottish band, just listened to "Real gone kid"
and it basically summed up my teenage existence.

However my version of Deacon Blue on my side of the pond is a really Jazzy contemporary song made by Stelly Dan.

Keep posting G let these kids who come to these "Forum Boards" know what time it is.

and Thanks for the nod.

Sorry for the off topic everyone. To bring the convo back into focus.

When is the definitive date for Retail release.

Or are WE all still in wild speculation mode?

Where has this Asim gone? Around that time, he was very enthusiastic. It all change after the debacle last month.

After getting told to f off by Konami as well as some pretty 'open to interpretation' comments by Adam on Twitter, he changed. He hasn't even been able to be objective. I think PES/Konami are better w/o his input/advice. Let him stick to the game he recently remembered he loves so much: FIFA. The thing is, he gets treated w/ too much respect for the way he behaves. He should be seen to be the emotionally-swayed lad he is. Anyway, back on Topic. PES14 seems, to me, to have AI that so organic that it's scary to imagine how it was coded. We're on to a winner here. Not in sales, per se, but rather in the heart of every fan who seeks simulative football and a game that rewards proper football intelligence.

Yeah that's just fantastic. :WORSHIP:

And I personally feel that it even increased individuality signicantly in terms of dribbling compared to the previous one.

For example, I don't have much confidence to try this with Muller as I do with Lahm or Ribey. I mean in the own team there seem to have a huge variation of succesful rate from player to player more than in any other PES.

I noticed something about the catch up bug. It's only present vs the CPU. ELZed and I tested it against each other. It's non existent. But when we played against the CPU. We got caught every time. Maybe it's due to early code bugs or superstar difficulty

Rough diamond is a perfect description, having a blast right now though.

Some of the new skill moves require perfect timing but look superb when pulled off correctly. The Right Stick then Left Stick options are great and vary from player to player at times.

L1 is the new R2 when it comes to that type of close control, Zee ;) And it's better.

If you press Circle for Secondary Pressure twice then hold it now brings two to three players to pressure.

Hold the Right Stick in the direction of a pass or shot blocks it, as does X twice and the relevant direction.

R2 is still the Perfect Trap, and holding R3 for a first touch flick.

Hold the right stick away to shoulder barge when battling for the ball, seems to work in possession as well when dribbling.

Tapping Sprint twice is excellent for moving away quickly and making space just as you receive the pass.

Tapping R2 after a lofted through ball or high pass takes the weight off it beautifully.

Definitely worth checking out the Command List, so many new options.

Also press Select on Player Screen (Formation) to check all the new Player Cards and also all the new Player Stats, too many new ones to mention, especially player stats.

Back to the game for us, enjoy people. ;)
