one thing this game really needs and that has been annoying me for a decade or so is an option to deactivate replays on fouls and off sides. just put an icone and we press it if we wanna see the bloody off side replays. ref showing cards and lineman with flag would be more than enough.

thanks god the advantage rule seems to be working fine.

1 huge bug i encountered: neuer was throwing the ball with his hands and the ball magically went on the wrong side ending up in an own goals. didn't have the phone with me to record it but that's a funny one to see.

i can't quite seem to kick the ball further up when running, did they change the usual command? anyone had the same issue?

This will just be me uselessly venting.

I am just disappointed about the recent news.

Konami made a point of saying how their new engine allowes for great light effects. They showed off stadiums looking almost identical to their real-world coutnerparts.
I immediately thought "I can't wait to play a match on afternoon and have some beautiful relaxed pre-sunset lighting, that always has such a nice ambiance to it".

What's that, no afternoon setting? Great use of your engine guys...

Also the reasoning that them implementing rain also needs to have alot of other factors like different ball physics, etc etc. To me atleast, they are missing the point completely.
I am potentially playing this game for 300+ days. 100s and 100s of hours. I want diversity, plain and simple. Give me some rainy visuals so that every match doesn't look the same. Meet the basic things I would expect ANY football game to have. Should you expand on that to include smaller details in future games, great. Not including rain because, quoting Adam, "you'd want to also implement things like teams used to playing more in rain being more powerful in those conditions" is either an excuse for purely graphical problems with implementing rain-soaked kits and waterdrops without dropping framerates, or it shows that again, you don't get it from the user perspective.

I would rather have 40 generic stadiums than 10 licensed ones. Because diversity. Sure, it would be nice to have Barca playing at Nou Camp, but having 10 teams in my ML playing with the same "generic small town stadium" is by far more distracting.

Making the world seem alive, vivid, and breathing, is to me far more important than making it authentic. A licensed stadium is nothing if I constantly get the feeling that just outside the stadium walls, there is a blue nothingness rather than a city with people, cars etc.

I'd rather be playing in unlicensed stadiums that feel like they are placed in a real world, than licensed stadiums that are always, every match, lit by the sun in the exact same angle, never changing, never a cloud shadow moving over the pitch, never a raindrop...

Why would I want to play a game that just feels flat and fake? That's one reason I am always excited by non-gameplay touches like cameramen, seeing the subs on the sideline etc. It makes the world seem more genuine, and that alone can make me go back to the game more, since it can really feel like you are spending some time in a convincing alternate reality.

Very well said, my thoughts exactly. Though, I'm a major proponent of immersion in video games. Not everyone shares the same sentiments. You raise a good point in that if you can't have authenticity (regardless of the reason), make up for it with immersion. Obviously hardware, time and budget constraints play a big role in limiting these factors, but a lot of small touches add up to create something special. What happened to injured players having visual bandages? Minor details like this gave PES that bit of charm. There's also one major aspect of football (or any sport for that matter) that you can't license, and that's match day atmosphere. I do hope Konami will take advantage of next-generation hardware and go all out in these sort of departments. Focus on improving what you can improve.

Playing a Premier League season in the bright sunshine every match is going to get old extremely quickly. Assuming the game is as good as it appears to be, I plan on pumping a lot of hours into it. I'm not going to boycott EA (as if that would make a lick of difference) or refuse to purchase PES 2014. It's not make or break, but personally it's the difference between a good/great game and a masterpiece. Variety is the spice of life!

Don't any of you see the irony in that Konami have exclusive rights to CL and Europa? And EA don't....

Very few unfortunately see that irony, PES coloured blinkers ;)

Right who is going to give Pepper their ID?;)

I will after the current Aussie.

Yeah annoys the hell out of me that, on Fifa as soon as you see the replay "swirl" you just press select or start or whatever it is and the replay is skipped. Just another of the clunky aspects of PES that sadly don't seem resolved yet even with this magical new engine, hopefully next year™.

The only effort Konami was demanded to do, was about having editors for everything and avoid fake licensing lockdowns.
PES has born with editing and the last thing I'd like to see is dying for this.

I don't remember why this stupid yearly releasing started but i fancy, so it's better they stop because it's only a disgrace for the saga. But these are all words told to the marines.

Then you see a fellow like Suffwan, another diplomatic siren which told about FIFA (a poetry in motion), coming to the board after 7 years saying "if you fill the pages of "wishlist" PES become what you want and more"..

Thank God for Jenkey's gameplay tool (I believe?) which allows you to disable certain/all replays. Forgive my PC talk! ;)

Pirlo looks so lifelike in PES14

The way he clips the ball into Balotelli is something special.

ok cause from what i read a few pages ago, the guy playing referred to the catch up bug by saying there was too much jostling between defender and attacker, if thats the case should bring it up with bhatti and co, are there any videos out there that can support this.

that was me who said that. and what i meant specifically is that when the attacker is clean through on goal, the defender will 'lock-on' into a jostle, thus pulling back the attacker and stopping his run on goal. like i said, it's more of a physical duel bug rather than a specific catch-up bug.

here is a perfect example. skip to 10:50 and watch robben

Well elaborated. If I was Konami, since I know EA have licenses out the wasoo, I would make damn sure we have 50+ stadiums ready for launch. I know many are true football fans and can tell many stadiums apart immediately, but as someone who just loves the game and don't really even have any particular team connection, just having 50 beautiful stadiums, however fake, would be awesome.

Similarly to the previous sentiments, why Konami don't just add like 10 fake leagues, all with D2 teams aswell, is beyond me. If you don't have licenses, then just create a large, compelling fictional world. That would be lovely, a huge amount of fictional players to learn, find the golden nuggets. I get that wouldn't appeal to alot of people, but surely you could just set to not use fictional teams/leagues when starting ML. Also I'm sure some modders would take the time to convert several of those leagues to real leagues, real players etc. Heck, you could even do it fairly easily, and once you changed the name of the team and players, use edit mode to get a rough similarity to hair and face and complexion (a few hours for a team with pictures online). Then find a list of how FIFA stats them, and approximate to Konami's stats. You could probably get a team pretty darn close to real life in a day, and if 20 of us evo-webbers do one team each, in a day we'd have an entire fake league converted to the Swedish Allsvenskan. Formation info etc is available on official websites usually, tactics could be approximated fairly quickly aswell (defensive, offensive, longballs or passing).
Some refining by people who know the teams, and then we could share that on these forums, ideally you'd have PES use separate files for each team, so you could easily edit, then upload the file for others to download.

I realize a few might find this too ingenuine, but when I'm playing with a random team from Malaysia on FIFA, I don't have a damn clue who anyone is, if they look the way they look IRL, if someone has a shot power stat that is 40 points off from their approximate real world value. We all know the 20 best players in the world pretty well, after that we just sort of trust the stat collectors working for FIFA that they've approximated correctly.

wut. its bloody awful! fouls in general are just not given (for both me and the cpu). the funniest one was when the ref called it back for a free kick outside the box and the computer stopped the ball 5 yards forward inside the penalty area and passed it to teammate then scored :CONF:

I've tried all: downloading pkg file, creating it by myself..
Unfortunately, my console is not modded :(
If anybody can share PSN via PM I would really appreciate.
Understood if not

Or why don't Konami just create an option where you can add custom leagues to Master League.

So if someone wanted to add the English leagues they'd select an option to create 4 leagues which are connected to each other with 20 teams in the Premiership, 24 teams in the Championship, etc...

No PC demo this years becasue of too much hacking for PES2013 demo! Really a joke from Konami and i think they give us the same game like 2013. Some graphic updates but the whole gameplay look still silly like the last years.

It's only 22 days and then you'll see what PES2014 becomes..;)

@Placebo

I thought CL license is not team name, team kits, and player license.. It is just a competition. Unless you see it the same from the core content.

Well yes and no, technically it's just a competition, but, you can do lots of things with it and don't Konami use it as a means to get teams into the game they can't get in by any other means due to "locked out™" licenses?

Either way I enjoy what Konami do with the Europa/UCL license in ML and wish it was available in Fifa's CM (sorry folks).

for me the ref called it back so i can take the free kick but the ball went to my player who was about to attack...

If one of you who has downloaded the demo would tell me his account Details, i would pay you some fifa ultimate Team coins if you want :)
You just have to tell me your Password for´some minutes..
I can't do anything wrong with your account..

I see your point, especially having played games like Football Kingdom and full manual Fifa, but the action in the video is still within the borders of realistic for me. In this case Robben just fails to come loose of Boateng. Should of been a free kick though.

Do note that Robben manages to keep two players behind him and make a shot on goal. At the end i rather have the Robben's and Ronaldo's in the game a little bit toned down instead of making it a mindless sprint fest.

Maybe i will change my mind when i actually play the game.

Ok got ya but its E3 code you can't assume it will be like that in the final code. I know there will be so many bugs with the leaked version everyone is playing. Unless off course u know for a fact it has that bug in the final code
