where did u get that from?! WOW

Well it's pretty similar situation when BBC and Eurosport losing MotoGP broadcast to BT Sports (the highest bidder) or Sky getting the exclusivity for F1 coverage.

Sometime they aren't even aware about the details, specifically locking them out of any sort of likeness until the last minute. Konami need to be more aggressive. If you can't fight them, join 'em. I hope for starter they can further extend their exclusive deal with UEFA and AFC and maybe hire a more competent law firm.

Why does Fifa and the licencing bodies allow EA to have a monopoly on the football game industry with exclusive licencing? Wouldn't Fifa make more money if they sold the licences to both EA and Konami instead of allowing EA to have exclusive rights.

The licences are probably expensive so Konami might not be able to afford as many licensed leagues/teams as EA, but they'd have more than they have now for sure.

Someone in power needs to do something promptly to stop this monopoly even if it takes a long time.

This doesn't surprise me. Guys you need to understand that the better PES becomes the the more aggressive EA is gonna become to attain and/or retain licences.

So i don't see it becoming any easier for KONAMI in the future, as long as PES continues to evolve into a superior game. Especially with the financial superiority of EA.

Its a business after all...remember that.
I'm smelling a lawsuit in the near future.

I don't even care because frankly the game has huge potential this year on PC, even if retail has lots of problems. But at least I won't be fed a spoon of public relations crisis management bullshit.

And the sharing stadiums with the same name and resemblance as real ones excuse isn't valid as well because otherwise they would have to lock out the entire edit mode.

removing an editor stadium or kit its like not selling guitars becouse you can copy licensed music, something its not right in here.

whats next remove team edit? player edit?

Sad to hear the exclusivity monster is back and tbh i knew this was ea's trump card when or if konami started making inroads and bringing pes up to speed. Its only going to get harder from here on for Konami and they may need to spill the moolah or find a work aroun.

And seriously guys do you really believe that a konami rep would say that if it weren't true? ea would sue his arse off

And ps fuck you EA capitalist bastards

EA wouldn't sue anyone because that Konami rep didn't directly state the reason nor he talked about the competition when referring to the stadium editor.

There's the difference.

The European Monopolies Commission needs to act on this.

This is what EA does when it smells competition or is losing market share. Buy all the licenses as with NFL and NHL to kill the competition. Because lots of buyers want everything out of the box.

I disliked EA anyway but I dislike them more and more. They should not be allowed to get away with this.

But can someone tell me if definitely, ON PC, ALL STADIA will be made available through modding??? I am yet to get a definite answer.

Haven't posted on here for a year or so but just wanted to jump in on the stadium topic.

Imagine being EA and paying millions or exclusivity on something and someone else just being able to make a near identical one for free...you don't think they'll kick up a fuss?

This kind of stuff's been around for years, over on PESFan there's no EPL stuff allowed in the edit mode section for licensing issues.

The better the game becomes, the more aggressive EA will also become.

In my eyes, it's unfair and stifling the competition so trading standards or whoever controls these things should step in.

man, u cant have a definite answer until we actually get the game and modders like juce take a look and see if its possible to implement it... lets not forget this is a new game, we dunno if the same modding will be possible again.

Could someone lend me their psn id so that I could download the demo. I would really appreciate it. Thanks

All of those information because a member on this site asked Lami about the rain. Imagine if all those things were kept as secrets, imagine the shock.

Don't jinx. But don't be surprised when that does happen.

This is the EA model. So in the end it churns out as the sole purveyor of a game it own tedious generic junk year in and year out with no fear of having to raise the bar.

It becomes a monopoly and it is bad for the gaming industry where competition encourages innovation.

Konami should get onto the footballing authorities and advise clubs there are significant numbers of their fans that they play PES as well and get the Monopolies Commission involved.

That said they may have to relinquish their own exclusivity with the CL, EL.

All this licensing issue does is harm gamers in the long run. A monopoly has done NHL NFL gamers precious little good.

That's a disappointment about stadium editor. I don't want to be too unrealistic, I guess I must accept that this is all about money, but really - putting stadium parts together is no longer allowed?

The problem is, the football associations are just as greedy, the more EA and Konami fight, the more money the get.
