EA invested money in their product, money that was recouped by selling millions of copies of said product, where did Konami put the money from the millions and millions of sales from the time that PES was the king and Fifa was rubbish and sold nothing like it sells today?

Had PES ever outsold FIFA back in the day ?

Question: Is it logical to assume modders will provide the userbase w/ BBVA stadia sometime after release, even w/o a stadium editor?

:) PC SALES will skyrocket, no? It was all in the plans of Konaminati. lol

Guess so, if the final game is as good as i can imagine it can be(after playing this early demo) + 1080p gfx and + fifa not going ng on pc this could be a great year for Konami in PC.

TRUE! :WORSHIP:

People i'm already playing it.... and maybe it's cause I'm not an expert on videogames, etc... but I really like the game..... my only problem with it is player awerness..... but apart from that I love it!! :O

Thanks Isaac, again..... really cool what you did for me, even without knowing me!! :WORSHIP::WORSHIP:

yeah I think they rely on the modding community as a way to save money

Not the case. Stadium editor had to be removed as well for licensing issues. EA simply jumped in and quickly got the stadium licenses locking out Konami. It's only for a year though.

I really fear for the editing future. Licensing is becoming too aggressive and in years time I fear it would become non-existent. The only way would be to offer a very easy editor that can only be used offline with no sharing.

Sorry but there's no way you can lock out someone out of a feature, unless EA patented/bought the rights to arena editors in video games.

That rain excuse is a pure fabrication, most likely from Adam himself.

It's not fabrication. It is real.

but I don't see how the stadium editor infringes on any copyrights or licences

You don't. EA does.

And stadium editor isn't in because they most likely didn't have the time to convert it to the new engine.

Nope. They had to remove it for licensing issues as stated earlier.

Just note that in that post Adam went out with all that information publicly. He was very honest and sincere there. That was the whole point of it. He wanted to get all the negativity out the way and concentrate on all the good stuff from now on.

I made that statement mainly with regards to team names and kits but thanks for clearing up the stadium issues

Yes it is a fact and it happened. Deal with it _anderson.

Konami has licence issues with Stadium Editor?!?
This needs explanation. How comes that you need licence to create a customized Stadium? Who owns the rights? Does ea owns general architectual licences for soccer Stadiums or what? This drives mehr crazy, as i sonst getan it...

Why does a stadium editor have anything to do with licensing if it only uses generic stand structures, etc..

Well it's pretty similar situation when BBC and Eurosport losing MotoGP broadcast to BT Sports (the highest bidder) or Sky getting the exclusivity for F1 coverage.

Sometime they aren't even aware about the details, specifically locking them out of any sort of likeness until the last minute. Konami need to be more aggressive. If you can't fight them, join 'em. I hope for starter they can further extend their exclusive deal with UEFA and AFC and maybe hire a more competent law firm.

The demo is all over the place, keepers are beyond terrible and there's all kinds of issues (input lag, framerate issues, etc).

And it's pretty obvious that comparing footage from this demo to newer stuff that they made dramatic changes about stuff like clothing physics, they nearly got rid of it in comparision.

So, the cloth physics is completely out? Dumbed down or still there?

It's a fabrication in the sense that the real reason for the no-rain gate is actually one that blames them (Konami), so someone on this side of the world came up with a better excuse that fans couldn't say much about, when in fact the right arm of the game's producer gave me confirmation that it was indeed because of unexpected performance issues.

And my law knowledge may be limited but there's no actual legal ground for Konami to be forced to remove stadium editor, not as it were at least (without any obvious likenesses with other stadiums or any trademarks).

Ask Adam and he'll let you know.

Some weren't happy to see real stadiums created and shared etc. Defeats the purpose of going through the trouble of licensing.

It is sad.

All twenty stadia for a league to having none twelve months later and no stadium editor - amazing.

Gameplay is king but damn that's unacceptable.

Its not EA's fault that you (Konami) didn't have the foresight to think ahead.
