It's a bit disappointing because months ago we were promised to get (beside photorealistic graphics) dynamic weather, ie. matches that would start with sunny weather and end in a raindrenched monsun, and matches that start at dusk-evening and end in full-black-night.

And now all we get is static day and night, no afternoon, no evening, no change between the times, just day and night with always fair weather. Considering the power of the fox-engine, that's more than just bewildering.

And I don't buy that the current gen would not be able to stem it, all the demonstrations of the Fox-engine stressed again and again the fact that all the features of it, dynamic lighting, different weather.. would be easily produced on current gen.

So the only logical conclusions are a) Konami didn't have time to implement these features well or b) Konami wants to keep an eyecatching feature exclusive for the nextgen-debut

Not having the rain can make sense from a technical POV even if we have the right to remain skeptical. Not cloudy, dusk, afternoon lighting is shocking and even lazy from them.

Indeed. Has anyone confirmed that there is no overcast option? I really hope that's not the case. Imagine playing a Premier League season where every day match is played in the bright sunshine. Beyond silly.

Ok now I believe that Leverkusen is in the game!! :BOP:

This are all the clubs already CONFIRMED(There will be a lot more) in the "Other Clubs" section!

And the good thing is that Apoel, Leverkusen and Telaviv were all
mentioned in the link that I posted yesterday... and in that same
link, they say that we will have 32 European teams, 24 South America, 16 Asian and 2 African in that same section!
That would be good!

Is there a team list anywhere? :WORSHIP:

Don't worry, like in the previous PES-games, playing singleplayer-competition matches like league-seasons, cups, championsleague... we won't ever get to see the sun. :JAY:

Ok no rain a little issue but not a deal breaker. Does anywone know if konami could make the game look as if it had rained? i know its not as good as having rain but i am willing to compromise.:))

Did they really say this? I didn't follow much of the early news.

just played tonight 3 matches with PES2013(what an utter, cheating piece of scripted crap), i wasnt overreacting for a year, i really dont like this game, hope PES2014 is totally different

The rain gate.

Well, as for me, it is a matter of not having it as an option of weather that takes away some excitement. Not that i really want to play in rainy match. The fact is i never want to select a rainy match in PES 2013.

Even in FIFA with it's physical effect on how the ball behaves, i never want to play in that weather. I never find them fun/challenging to play at all. It just feel weird. As much as i never enjoy any football game played in rainy day on my TV screen

The same happens with evening match, as much as i love the evening light.. i eventually don't really miss that throughout each match in PES 2013.

It still leaves a little disappointment though if it never makes it in PES 2014. Since, it is supposed to be brand new engine, sure the expectation is a bit high on the graphical stuff. However, i may at the end try to accept if the reason is frame rate issue or it is better to not having it at all if when the gameplay effect is not technically satisfying.

Probably, Key Masuda is perfectionist in a positive way. He does not want the overall advancement of graphical sides in PES 2014 ruins by the so so rain animation, effects, and its impact on gameplay, player model, etc.

The hell with rainy match, the game looks awesome.. i am happy i can get through it :P
