Im disappointed about the rain but absolutely freaking out about the lack of news of ML and edit mode. Makes you wonder what other bad news Bhatti is sitting on.

Masuda himself told us edit mode would be the bisons bollocks this year but there's been nothing else said for months!!

Please Lami, post some good news soon!

This. Every time they don't say something about something, its bad news.

Seriously, the gameplay better be the tits. Could you imagine if FIFA dropped rain?

Konami are so frustrating. I want their game to be so good and I want to enjoy it. But these decisions (snow, demo, lack of more editable leagues/teams, no pc demo, rain) are bewildering, and while one of them on their own doesn't push me to the competitor, all of them combined and the possibility that the computer AI might be stupid again, really make it hard to spend money on them. Gameplay and ML better be close to the best we've experienced to excuse all the ineptitude they are showing.

Lami tells us to trust him, but why? Are we just supposed to blindly follow things without reason? Give us a reason, and let us decide ourselves if that reason was reasonable.

Very disappointed with Konami, botching the new engine one news at a time.

No rain?

Could be worse i suppose, could've unforgivably removed the referees and on screen officials back to PES 3 Era again. Then, there would be anarchy.

Maybe Konami got no license to feature rain or snow in PES 2014?

 funny post
Who could have the rights for the rain I wonder.

Ok bla bla framerate issues for no rain ... I don't buy the excuse but let's just assume it's valid. How do they explain having day and night lighting only ?

Right for you lot who live in sand storms and have nice blue sky, try moving to fucking Wales and tell me rain isn't part of the game! So Qatar got the world cup, and now we get no rain. Now some of my Arabian Brothers and African Brothers may not get rain much, but to have a European game without the effects of a rain drenched pitch is just nuts. No clouds no overcast? Don't tell me it's not important because i am not having it. Just like long tape, untucked shirts, Injuries, nets and all the other shit that should be in a game we've been harping on about for the last 10yrs. So i finally get dirt but no fucking rain? Well i got what i wanted i guess.

I believe Sony own the license...

I suspect it has something to do with the fact that we are supposed to a completely new ball physics (did they call it free-flow or something). Since the ball is now completely independent, rain isn't simply a pretty particle overlay graphic. So I think they have spent a long time making the ball act a realistic as possible, but now there's no 'space' in a cpu cycle to add the added complexity of the increased/decrease drag on the ball depending on the pace and how it bounces and how the rag-doll physics of individuals react even.

Whatever the cause. I'd rather have every match to be as realistic as possible in dry weather, than risk having a sub-par experience in wet conditions. Plus I'd chose the new 'loose' ball over 'ball-on-rails' with various weather conditions.

Is there no rainy matches or no rain during gameplay.

Because I still think it's silly to see rain on gameplay cameras.

Anyway, blame all the physics stuff and your 8 year-old consoles :)

@LAMI! he's got a point here while everyone raging, is there no rainy matches at all or just no rain effect during matches like in the latest PES?

we are confused :BYE:

+1

Not having the rain can make sense from a technical POV even if we have the right to remain skeptical. Not cloudy, dusk, afternoon lighting is shocking and even lazy from them.

I don't know you guys, but i've been waiting 6 years for a decent actual gen PES, and finally we have it!
We can wait 1 more year for rain don't you think???

No rain = forum meltdown
Rain = "no effect on the ball, f*ck CONAMI!"

I understand the disappointment but the overreaction on these last few pages have been hilariously pathetic.

You make sense. It sounds possible. But wait... haven't they been working on this game for a long time now? I thought there was a whole team dedicated to working on PES 2014 when another team was still working on PES 2013. So how could they not see this coming? How could they not fix it?.

OMG! You're all crazy about the rain! Stop it! You can't score goals without that damn rain? You can't enjoy a great gameplay without that rain?

Oh.. wait.. we're all retards right? that explains it! :P

Am I wrong? Things are the same as in the prev. 6 years. After 2.5 years of developement with the new engine, and days before the game goes gold they have input lag issues, they dont if rain will be in, they're not sure about game modes and licenses and the infamous comm. manager has no clue what happens next..

Ok now I believe that Leverkusen is in the game!! :BOP:

This are all the clubs already CONFIRMED(There will be a lot more) in the "Other Clubs" section!

And the good thing is that Apoel, Leverkusen and Telaviv were all
mentioned in the link that I posted yesterday... and in that same
link, they say that we will have 32 European teams, 24 South America, 16 Asian and 2 African in that same section!
That would be good!
