Ok guys, im done, see y'all next year!

Lol... just kidding, still excited, im a half cup full kind of guy, very happy that Lami like the gameplay... dont really bother about rain, offcourse it would be great if we had it.. but oh well, far from game breaker for me.

2KSports surely have quite popular reputation around sports gaming board right? But the reality is, beside NBA they're incompetent and unproven. The last couple of MLB, NHL for examples weren't well received by their fans for plenty reasons. Also they're no stranger of removing couple of feature for no apparent reason and re-introduce them later.

Well, since the only sport I like (LOVE) is football, I couldn't tell. I don't play NBA, MLB, NHL. But you're right 2KSports benefits from its reputation, whether they are still maintining their good work level or not, I don't know.

However, just by looking at the screenshots I can tell that it's BY FAR a better company than Konami (at least sports-wise).

OK, no rain. Dissapointing.

But, will it be an overcast setting at least? It's the same as rain but without the raindrops, so it shouldn't affect the framerate. And very realistic for english matches.

+1. That would be great. There are too many matches during season played on dry pitch, but without sun.
I think its easy for konami. Just make option like "overcast" and remove shadows, thats all :D

@F D B

Dont get fooled by those pics, MLB2k is a TERRIBLE game, really broken and a subpar game, i play baseball games since the old Dreamcast days... MLB THE SHOW by Sony is a far far superior game.

Well spoken, Anderson. I'm over it, but still can't believe that this "awesome" new engine can't even include a simple weather option into the game.

If it cannot handle it without issue, or without sacrificing something else, then why didn't they just jump into gen 4? I could be incorrect, as memory goes as you age, but didn't they tout that staying on the current consoles would not be an issue cause of the new engine.

Sports gaming is becoming an embarrassment. Not just Konami, but all sports gaming publishers. Day one patches, more bugs then ever, and no sign of little things that made older generation titles great. The early returns on gen 4 are already telling us that this gen will start poorly.

Frustrating

Well then, this only proves the process chain. Konami screws up. Adam Bhatti goes public trying to cover up, making up excuses and sometimes un-confirming things. While Hosoda confirms there won't be rain/snow/dawn/dusk, Adam goes to WENB Boards saying it's not final yet and it still might get in, just to buy some time and hopefully get us to forget about it. I'm sure they will go public with some news and screeshots tomorrow or Thursday about Edit Mode, Master League, Online, whatever... to cover up this whole rain thing, hoping we move past it.

PES 2014 first meant to be 1080p, then it is 720p...
It's obvious that the fox engine is a big bite for them, the rain confirms that.

Either that or no one is really sure what they're doing.

Doesn't really surprise me that european community managers are clueless about the decisions made @ Japan.

PES2014 should have gone next gen, baby!

Cannot agree more with you. It's not even the same situation as PES 6 on Xbox 360, at that time we had a current-gen engine game on next-gen hardware, now we have a next-gen engine game very limited by current-gen consoles.

I can see clearly now the rain has gone.

That was hilarious :LMAO:

But guys, as long as KONAMI do not repeat stupid things like ML boots, ML transfers, ML 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 score line or AI cheats, I am perfectly OK with not being able to see raindrops during gameplay. You can’t see rain in live broadcasts on wide camera angles.
I am afraid they’ll f@#$-up some new important aspect of the game. I hope I’m wrong, and I hope that hearth thing and new stats and sliders will do just fine.

Oh, I just saw Wilshere… wtf???

Agreed. At the end of the day it's not a big deal really, especially if the gameplay is great this year, but when I think about playing wet games in PES 10 years ago I'm forced wonder what the hell is going on:CONF:
