KONAMI is lying again. They promisse so much, and even the Queen of England with 18yr naked and nothing appears. :OT:

have you ever seen Copa Libertadores matches IRL?
you practically have to murder your opponent to get a yellow card

EDIT: yes hopefully they fix the foul thing, it was mental in the past few PES years

LOL, I hear ya. Every league has different characteristics in how the referee's call fouls. I have been wanting that in the game for years. Years ago, I never thought we would be so limited in late 2013. At the very least there should be a slider for fouls, or else copy the template of the real sport. It's right there for them.

What difference does it make whether the demo comes out before or after the PC release? Anyone who plans on using the demo to decide if they want to buy the game can wait two days, and can also read user reviews in the meantime. No big deal.

As for fouls, they are easily fixed on FIFA by globally lowering speed, agilty, balance, strength and tackle ratings. After edits, I was getting 15-25 fouls and 6-8 cards a game called against the CPU, so many I had to cut back on my edits to make the game less foul-crazy. No doubt PES works the same way.

I believe I have read some of your thoughts on another fifa forum. Problem is what do you do in career mode when new players come in. Wild's editor is amazing, but I can't remember if you can edit players once a career is started? Even then, that is alot of work. They should have already done that, especially as they claim to be a more realistic simulation. This aspect of the game is very "other game" like. Not good.

Fouls are a part of the sport and come into play tactically as well. It should be represented that way in a tactical type of game.

Yes and no. What happened with the demo last year didn't change the fact that the player was still limited to friendlies only. You still had to buy the game to get access to modes. Therefore I'm not sure how many PES fans were content with playing endless friendlies for 12 months.

Those that want to play the game will still buy it or get it by 'other means', as has always been the case.

The demo was better than the full version until the latest patches....

And not having a League mode...

Well it looks impressive. However there do seem to be issues with player awareness and positioning, the odd skating motion as well.

Above all I hope they have not decided to speed up the code just to cater for FIFA players and certain reviewers who think the original code was not fast enough.

Simulation over arcade for me every time in any sports simulation. As close to real life. It's the reason I played GTR2 until very recently and GP4.

That's all true of course, and these games should play properly by default. In FIFA though, you can edit and set the database values that determine ratings for new players coming in. So that issue isn't a problem in FIFA, but it could be with PES yes.

Have some patience.....The game will come to you anyway give or take a few days.

It may be a generational thing, even though I am not that old but people seem more and more impatient as the years pass.

So you think it's OK that everyone gets access to the demo except PC gamers?

Thanks for the info and discussion, my friend. I'll have to look into it when the game drops.

I understand Konami a bit, but its their fault at the end of the day, remove the stuff from being visible in the demo, then people wont look at it. No wonder Jenkey disappeared, Konami probably had him shot! :P

I think it's kinda annoying that they release the demo 2 weeks before the game comes out. I was hoping to play the demo in august.

Which is the main reason I'm so annoyed about the PC demo. The console demos are much later then previous years. No point modding a PC demo for only 10 days play.

Also remember that PC demo makes modders being able to figure out what is new to this engine and start making tools for it etc. Now they can only start getting their first look at it when the game is already out.

Which may cause many PC players to purchase a month or two later while the patches are being created.

This is a bit of a marketing disaster though, a LOT of PC players are disgruntled with FIFA being kept as current gen for PC, and PES looks so exciting this year, it was a perfect opportunity for Konami to showcase to the fifa followers what PES has to offer, in form of a demo, but the problem is, the PC demo will be out at the same time as release of FIFA, FIFA fans are going to be focused too much on playing FIFA to give the new PES a proper go...

Good point. Konami have something of a captive audience on the PC this year. This decision could prove to be a bit of a fuck up.

I'm watching the Arsenal game

quickly for all the PC players out there any of you have a console and could at least try the demo? I can use my PS3, just wondered how many people lose out? :(

Boohoo PC players.

Not the end of the world you get the same game (which looks awesome btw) and then can mod it with gay abandon.

I totally understand Konamis stance. People were modding PC demos to unlock teams, stadia, balls, players etc etc etc. They play it and post vids of the games as unfinished code with bugs and all.

Consumers see these vids and boom automatically they assume its retail version and the game has flaws. Remeber not every consumer is upto date with Demos and unlocking and what they see may not be indicative of the full game.

Good move konami and even better for having the demo out for everyone close to release so no fiddling about with things for the sake of the fans. The amount of time taken to adjust and tweak should be for just that not making big changes to accomodate for feedback. This is what worked in PES on the old gen.

Its ironic that people highlighted refs in these vids. Pes2011 beta version punished players that pressure from behind and reckless chalenges and the feedback Konami got was that the refs were too harsh and it was tweaked for the retail version and ever since PES is too forgiving on the pressure whores. I hope they bring it back.

Mr. Hosoda told me the PC demo situation is not their (the team's) decision, but with the licensing dealers. They were apparently threatened with broken deals if that happened again this year.

I am not fused as i can use my brother's ps3 or get my neighbour's xbox if he starts sht with me lol.

Edit: i think demo coming out late is good as konami wont have enough time to take in ppl's opinion and the game is on their term. Didnt alot of ppl complain about pes taking ppl's advice and ruining the game?
