"If you haven't bought a digital copy before, let us show how forward thinking we are, and lets help you make that transition #hint #PES2014"

THIS is what Adam said. What could it mean?

Also, Adam just scrapped those screenies from the editing link. He retweeted the following:

"Don't trust these faked #PES2014 editor screenshots on http://proevolutionsoccerbrasil.com.br/edit-mode-de-pes-2014-aprecie-com-moderacao/ …. Both not taken from #PES2014."

The animations will be good enough this time around, same for physics and graphics.

Probably not perfect but surely way better than before so no no need to be worried too much about it.

But the AI, tactical variety, awareness, cheating, playerswitching, clipping, goalkeeper's AI... now that are things I'm still concerned about.

Physics between players might be the best ever in a football game, it's far ahead of the impact engine wich is laughable at times (impact engine really is not a parameter tho, it's just marketing). At least in all circunstances (sliding tackles) I had the opportunity to see it was very convincing.

for me the goalkeeper it's a good animation..

I think the heading animation is even better. You can see him whipping his neck around to get power onto the header. Lovely.

Liked what I saw all round in that new video. There was one passing animation in particular from Pirlo that looked eerily life like. Can't remember at which time it occured but I'll find it later.

So if there was an animation in 2013 that was realistic then it's automatically bad? Forget that it was in any PES. Realistically that move happens irl. Not sure what's wrong with it really.

I agree with this. Just because PES 2011-2013 were overall bad, people tend to think that there isn't any animation that looks nice in those games.

There are some animations in PES 2013 that could easily be reused in PES 2014 imo.

If people use triple pressure online they'll be opening a huge gap somewhere on the field.

If the balance between defence/attack is done right this time around it will be a last resource measure only.

The problem is that these football games we have nowaday don't aply the basic logic of increasing substantially the possibility of committing a foul when pressuring from behind or pressuring with two or more men.

And most of the time players come to you so quickly that you don't have enought time to find that space. This gets worse for those who don't have a very good online concetion, a minimum lag is enough to see your player being "raped" as soon as he controls the ball, before one or more than one step.

Pressure ruins the online experience even more than the full assisted passing imho.

If you haven't pre-ordered a copy of #PES2014 yet, you'll want to wait until Wednesday. Awesome news regarding pre-order DLC. Stay tuned!

This dlc should be more than anything if they intend to sell it... I can't think anything other than stadia.. but nonetheless if it's stadia, why won't they wrap it within the game in the first place.

Maybe they'll include all La Liga stadiums only with pre-order?

Something related to online modes (MLO)?

or J-league ? Since we are having AFC, there should be fake asian leagues. J-leagues might have had restricted license all this time by JFA outside Japanese version hence they should sell the dlc for PES. It only come as free dlc for WE 2013, doesn't it ?

The issue i am having with stadia is they have different pitch pattern and texture by default.

I don't think so. Few people care about Japanese football to make an announcement about it during an European show.

But don't reject the chance of all J-League stadiums being present in WE2014. They already made this years ago.

I never pre-orded a game, how does that work... where can I do that here in Portugal(I know there is Portuguese people on this forum) :TTTH:
Sorry my ignorance about this.... but I usualy don't trust these things.... I like to go to the store and but at the momment! :JAY:

Lami these animations are like PES 2013 animations..I don't see any leg move...Or any realistic leg move...

YouTube - PES 2014 Gameplay - E3 Konami Presentation

Watch again E3 videos...Where are those moves?????

IGN video= PES 2013B-PES 2014..

E3 video = PES 2018????

Al these moves are still in the game. Just that at E3 they were showing off the barycenter physics and the latest vids are of the game being played properly.

There you go, the online crowd trying to stop innovation once again.

Triple pressure can be a really quality addition. It added another depth to the tactical gameplay, considering many people were complaining the defensive side of previous games couldn't match the variety of attacking play. It's legit tactic in real-life as well. It's all depend on the execution, which remain to be seen.

Let's hope that all this 'expert feedback from the community' is not necessarily cast aside by the team creating PES but truly studied in order not impact their vision of the game. And so that their vision for the game is realised fully. Criticism for the sake of it, helps nobody, it has to be realistic and constructive criticism that Konami should listen to and only then should they consider changing things that they truly believe need to be sorted out.

Goalkeepers, Referees, 'Player awareness' and possibly some of the 'scripting' would be things Id modify. PES on Ps1 and Ps2 was great for its time and can sometimes be even enjoyed today. But that era is over, and this one will be over soon, with the PS4 etc. coming out soon. I played PES 2013 for a long time, and had no major issues with difficulty, AI, Goalkeepers, Referees etc but I still acknowledge that those things can be improved, always. I conceded possibly only one or two goals in my entire time playing it, where I felt like that was the 'script' making sure I concede. Won the Champions League on Superstar, and had a lot of fun in my Master League, the boots issue was not major because I could choose to just not use it.

All this fanboy drivel of people who have no inkling of how the process works is really disheartening. I know that the true fans of the franchise, truly want the best for the series without having the creators lose their take on the beautiful game. Konami creates a game according to their own philosophy, that philosophy used to be a game where realism and arcade fun were so beautifully weaved together that what the consumer experienced was pure football emotion. This gen that vision has morphed into something different but still with that bit of 'PES Soul' in it.

Did the series decline after PS2, absolutely.
Did the series get back to respectable levels of playability? Absolutely.
Is PES 2013 the best version of PES ever? Debatable, but it very likely is.
Will PES 14 be the best ever? I don't know yet because I haven't extensively sat down to play it as I do not have it my console. But when I purchase it, I will make a completely neutral judgement on its Pros and Cons without going into it expecting the next coming of Maradona in video game form.

Do you know NBA2K??? That...

To be fair konami does look as good in terms of animation. Its just u who wants to see sht thats not there. Am sure if 2k had same notoriuos reputation as konami and made THAT 2k game u will still nit pick sht that aint there. Like i said its hard to satisfy all, specially when people want to believe in garbage that dont exist.

There may still be a few weird looking animations left in the game but overall it's more than a great forward jump in that aspect. I honestly wonder what it will be on the next gen of games.

That R2 curling shot Adam tried with the Italian player looked like it had better ball physics than the last couple of year's equivalent shots ;)

EDIT: Happens at 10:43 on the video.

I also like how they let some replays run because a pet hate of mine is watching off screen footage and people always skip the replay even though you've been waiting 15 minutes just to see one shot on goal lol

use online stores for pre-order, or try fnac or worten. if you have doubt send me pm.

The nerve of this guy(Torres_Liverpool)....i don't see you on Konami's Dev team:RANT:

You think its easy Developing a football game? or any game t all? All this talk about animations, the animations i see are a major improvement compared to previous PES games:RANT:

The game is still in development and you're(Torres_Liverpool) here b**ching about absolutely "nothing". This is crazy, this is arguably the most exciting time to be PES fan and you're
here b**ching when you should be proud of what KONAMI is trying to achieve on current gen

Ridiculous.

Like Marilyn Monroe, many will alway think she was the most beautiful woman in the world but in reality she wasn't even all that and a gazzillion better have come along. Same with pes.

Yeah the ps2 and even ps1 versions were great but to think they were close to perfect in gameplay etc is a joke.

Many of us have grown up watching pes change but still keep sweet memories. Those who go back to playing the older versions thinking theyre so great, have that first girlfriend effect!

Times have changed, technology, graphics and animations, ways to write code, design, siz of projects, managing data etc etc...the new age of internet moaning, trolling, spoilt folk etc has seen a greater level of critic, maybe some justified but when people whinge without even tryin a demo, complain it doesn't look better and think the animations aren't good etc...well you guys/gals might just be a lost cause.

Many people need to understand the difficulties of programming first hand, then get to a decent level, then realise pes1 upto 13, and fifas 1 upto 13 are amazing pieces of work....hell all software...even if they didn't play to your likings. Programming is that damn hard and coding mechanics one of the hardest parts, along with syncin them to animations, balancing them etc

I'll admit konami suck a marketing though and the fact they remove neat little features from pes annoys me to no end!! End of Rant

Im buzzing at the latest videos, hopefully my fifa foes/friends will dump it and come back to me to play pes. At times it looks real, so fluid, so perfect!!

On next gen, it will make many wee, as from experience of dev, they will have everything setup in higher details ie models, textures, animations etc then optimized them (lower res/detail, lighting, shaders etc) for current gen. Just imagine Using kitserver on pc to top settings...i don't think that will show the true quality, not even close of next gen pes!!
