PES 2014 Discussion Thread

In the video with the goalkeeper glitch, after Ballotelli scores, on the closer camera, the detail in the crowd is just breathtaking!:CONFUSE: Anyone care to make a screenshot?

The yellow circle chasing the ball defender (the black line) instead of running to where he could block the attacker (red line). This is driving seriously crazy when it happens in 2013, especially when a keeper makes an easy target and let in. Now look where he ended his career: Behind the attacker instead of in front of him, seriously, what the **** ? following that red line I've drawn it had been on the point of ret is and probably lock / making it harder for the defense to cross. I can not believe this is a matter of difficulty as happens a lot in 2013 in all difficulties. Major major problem in the game that probably will not be fixed

The throughball was played behind the defender. How would he automatically run alongside the attacker? "CONTAIN" yourself please. (Let's see if anyone got that)
 
FIFA nets since FIFA 12 you can set up their tension, you know? ;)

For me FIFA nets are class. They also have v. nice sound effect to them (take some penalties :D).

Shame that scoring goals on FIFA is not rewarding. :P

Now for that red/black line that Argentinian guy says it's problem. Played Football Manager? Ever heard of tight marking opponent? If it's set to yes, the defender will try to stick to ball carrier as close as possible. And in 8 out of 10 chances he will get to block the cross (if he pulls his leg out fast enough and Santos defenders, are not great).

Show more Bayern vs Italy videos not Bayern vs Santos as that is very unfair in class difference! (also it leads to impression that AI is bad, no, Santos defensive players are bad irl too :P).

Och well, roll on the demo!

I agree, you keep watching the video and the defender continues running after the ball even once the cross is hoofed into the box. He ends up next to the corner flag looking lost.
The ai has the players running to where the through ball is aimed at rather than either trying to cut the pass out (which the defender should have as it ran past him) or be aware of the attacker now running to cross.

The same crap happens in FIFA too so I don't think it's so much a difficulty thing or anything intentional. I guess they just can't program the ai to be aware of things like this on current gen.



Nets look disgustingly bad too. So much of the oomph in scoring is going to be lost with these concrete nets. :(

My job is a moderator here and my job is to tell people things. If I stop doing so then who's going to moderate? You?

I won't talk about anything different. I'll talk about PES 2014, both it's pros and cons.

So we get a good video and forget everything good about it and just talk about the nets like it's the be all end all. Great.

How about all the positive things in that video? Any mention of them?
