PES 2014 Discussion Thread

I never had problems scoring 1-on-1 versus the keeper, neither the shooting have problems for me, not if you try to shoot with a good position and with no pressure from a defender.

I also disagree that the forwards don´t join the attack, they do that pretty much if you change the att/def levels and if you don´t try to run like a maniac for the attack field every time you get the ball.

Maybe a game where you have to think to play against the AI, like PES 2013, is not for Mr. Provolone...
:)
You're saying this like I'm the only one who has brought up these issues. There were many well-respected members in the Yair and Nesa threads discussing the same problems.

The forwards did join the attack, the problems is they didn't make intelligent runs to help. And the AI keepers were invincible in 1-on-1 situations; no matter where the ball was aimed it would just bounce off against the keeper's legs. This doesn't even mention the AI defense line sitting back too far which wasn't fixed until exe 1.3

Woooowwww great game!!!

At the end of the July we will have the demo announcement...And other news about the game..

And we have 2nd of August and still nothing...

Bhatti don't release the full game if you afraid to fail...

Before gamescom because some people want to see if the new game is good for pre-order...

We are waiting 2 months and we saw only pictures...

I don't like PES 2008-2013 so i want to see if the new game with new engine is good.. If it isn't i will quit to read news and informations...

Sorry, i read you nick fast and really though it was Provolone! :P

I agree that lots of people complain about these things but i just don´t see that problems so clear like you are saying. Maybe because i don´t play on PC, only on PS3 and i try to play a different slow thinking game that is completely different from most of people play, specially the ones online.

I stopped doing this shit. After finding out on ONE game that crack can MESS UP GAMEPLAY massively! (I bet some people saw that few times and never doubted the "cracking" team).
Stuff like this actually made collecting user's feedback tough in previous demos (PC) because of these vanilla and modded/hacked/patched feedbacks were mixed together.

The same reason make me think Konami should be done with gathering feedback from open public.

i dont understand this line of thinking

are konami so incompetent that they cannot differentiate valuable feedback from the negligent? so much so that they have actually ruined their games over this problem?

Have you try gathering feedback yourself? Especially the one that running on social networking. Even more we are talking about possible hundreds of unique feedback each day.

WENB did them a massive favour by readying a template for feedback submission. But WENB reader, user, silent reader etc. doesn't represent the majority out there. So it still hard for Konami to gauge what people really want.

In my day, wearing hats indoors was the height of rudeness. If you wore a cap indoors, someone senior to you would cough meaningfully, then when you looked round they'd nod towards your cap and you'd have to take it off. No questions asked. This is one example of how some prominent figures in the PES fan community could do with a bit of old-fashioned discipline.

Also, spanking.

Boy you talk about bad PR which is Konami's specialty seems like but this is just getting ridiculous.

So you promise an announcement date which you then back out of that promise and never explain why and then you allow a release of a picture of yourself playing the game. That's not PR. Thats just borderline teasing and complete disregard to your fan base.

People are asking a lot of questions and most of those questions are getting the same answer which is "can't saying anything right now." So what the fuck are you developing the game for? For your own entertainment which also includes teasing? There is so much teasing going on it makes me wonder if thats what they need to get a hard on.

soo... what? they look at all the feedback, get confused, then implement random and harmful changes to the game? don't know why people try and pass the blame onto the consumer when it's konami at the helm deciding what to do and what not to do.

you know what's even worse? along with that picture bhatti also said "need more people in to see the game!" so what does he do? post a picture of them PLAYING the game, and not the game itself. beggars fucking belief

and i bet he genuinely thinks this is what the fans will want, more teasing and a picture of himself playing the demo he failed to announce last week. so oblivious

I don´t know why people complain so much about Konami, we have 10 times more information about PES 2014 than we have about Fifa and both games will be released in the same day! Fifa does not even have a single full gameplay video yet...

I think Konami is already making too much for the comunity. Honestly no one here deserves a demo!

did konami not promise a "steady stream of information"?

did konami not promise a demo announcement and then fail to announce it?

the frustration is much more about downright incompetent PR than it is about a lack of it

Not blaming anyone, just saying it is tough, and a complete waste of time for such needless thing. To me the old school method is the better way. Only go public when your product are near ready, at least the gameplay.

So what would one have to do in order to "deserve" a demo?

the best thing is too get a lot of ideas bouncing around to help solidify the best decisions. that is optimum. but for a company who cannot handle feedback and gets confused with outside ideas, then yes, just closing themselves off and doing their own thing would probably be best

this comment will got lost in all of the hype and I am a year behind anyway haha.

been playing fifa since 08 , prior to that used to be pes since the iss days.

I have played some pes13 with jenky patch and some HD graphics patch on the PC and I think it tries to play football the right way.

fifa to me has always been to easy to play slaggy, I call it slaggy because people can pick it up and button mash and play like slags.

I play full manual on fifa and manual v manual on fifa is very good.

I am not sure what assisted is like of pes13 and if it can be exploited like fifa on assisted controls.

I jumped straight into full manual controls on pes13 and I have been enjoying it, you can see konami have not forgot their roots with this series.

I have to break my fifa playing mold to appreciate pes13 which I have done so slightly, although I fear due to pes14 not having a club mode I will get it for 1v1 and fifa for clubs with all my mates I think I may end up being crap at both games. I am pretty good on fifa but have gone worse since playing pes.
completely different playing styles, which isn't a bad thing

I am defiantly giving pes a chance this yea, online is important to me so hope they can improve on that.

pes with club mode would be really good, suppose that is not going to happen this year...

Pes apparently will have 11v11

Sorry, been non-stop #PES2014 today. If the previews as a whole were crazy positive already, 100% positive we delivered on expectations
