Latter, or even both.

But still, since it's highly likely that there won't be 2nd division for each league, managerial experience won't be as rich as it could be. That one and only 2nd division would most likely have to remain tied to the league in which we'd start our campaign (and perhaps fixed Segunda tied to Liga BBVA, if certain licensing rumors are going to come true) ... hence there would be a lot of leagues without relegations/promotions, pretty much as it now in BAL mode. IMO, it would be total nonsense if that one division 2 would just follow us around as we change clubs and leagues

Absolutely the latter for me; both would be preferable. One of the things I hate about ML is that there's no hiring/firing of the manager (you could relegate Man Utd and still keep your job). And as you said, the whole Division Two idea is a bit daft as well.

Add league slots to ML, Konami! Those league slots can be filled by the community who would be only too happy to do so! This is why I went back to Fifa last time (when it finally went 'NG' on the PC): the CM at least attempts to replicate a realistic football world!

That's why I'd rather see the ML thrown out entirely and a whole new and more realistic CM mode implemented. Yeah, I know that might tread on a few of your toes; I couldn't care less. For me there's far too much about ML that's completely unrealistic and ML is what I played the most back in the PES 4/5/6 era. BaL was fun as well - in that mode the hiring/firing aspect didn't matter so much; as far as I can remember, it was possible to be transferred to different clubs as a player.

If Konami really try and make ML as realistic as possible (you don't need licences to do that, Konami - again the community would take care of that the same way they do with 'Man Blue' etc) then even when Fifa PC finally gets 'Ignite', I might not even bother with it. Otherwise I'm more than likely to go back over to Fifa again because the CM as I said before, at least makes an attempt to replicate a real football world and does succeed in quite a few aspects. You've said it yourselves guys: there's too much about the ML that is entirely unrealistic - nothing that concerns licences either. As I said, I played PES 4/5/6, all the way up to PES 2008 (the last PES I invested any time in) and in all that time, the ML remained very unrealistic and felt very arcadey.

One of the things I remember about ML is that you couldn't have the entire Premiership as your 'Division One' because there weren't enough slots in the league, and when promotion/relegation occurred, you'd get some European team in the Premiership who were promoted from 'Division Two'. Could someone tell me that's been addressed at least - can the 'Division One' have as many teams as the real Premiership? I'm pretty sure that I read you can have The Championship as your Division Two, but as others have said you'd still have The Championship even if you managed Real Madrid. Furthermore, you need lower leagues in a football game if you want it to replicate the real world - you can't even have a decent League Cup with two divisions, and as for the FA Cup...

The infuriating thing is that aspect could be fixed without treading on any licencing toes; EA can't cry about empty league slots being added to PES, can they? Empty league slots are not licenced. ;)

Sorry for the rant; it's just that I know PES has so much unfulfilled potential off the pitch and that's annoying.

i really dont understand this now, say i pick chelsea and play barca tiki taka will the in game "HEART" lower my players arrows because im not playing "premier league style" hoof ball like stoke?

and another thing, most people who play PES want to play in a footballing way(well everyone in here)so with that in mind there will be only players on your team with red form arrows and no downside to playing good neat attractive football, where is the balance?

Wow...if this is executed properly, PES 2014 will be king.

@goalgerd

I think it's more like this: Form arrows will go down because you aren't playing well. If you were to play Tika-Taka with Chelsea, as long as you play well, i think the crowd and heart will respond positively. I think the English in the video might just be a mistranslation, because setting a crowd and heart to respond differently to every single team is time consuming.

Very skillful ? For real ? What does that make of the likes of I don't know, say, Van Persie or Iniesta ? He's a caveman

I believe he invented a new move, the stepelastico over
I don't give a monkey's fuck what it makes the others, Carroll is a very skillful player. £35million wasted meh! Watch some of his goals. A caveman? Ok Allan Hansen whatever you say.;)

thats my point, most people on here WILL play well every time they play PES. the only thing stopping players are the dodgy blue and purple arrows that are unrealistic in every away game, konami need to fix that problem instead of rebranding it with another name

Well if the AI is actually competitive and does not cheat, a player could end up playing poorly, by not adapting to the AI's tactics and not changing formation, tactics, etc, to compensate.

The day an AI actually has proper tactics - let alone the ability to change them on the fly - that will be a great day.

demo?

:ROTFLMFAO:

As i predicted, sometime this week. Now fingers crossed for some pro clubbings, 2v2 (dnt know if its in pes13 as i only played BAL and fifa 13 pro clubs). Also i hope some form of being a manager is applyed in master league and BAL is improved and made more intertaining as i love this mode hell of a lot.

It's unbelievable that ML, after all these versions of PES, still feels nothing like actually being a manager of a football team. On the other hand, I've always liked PES' BaL mode (Fifa's is rubbish) so any improvements will come as a welcome bonus.

Yh, BAL feels like ur an actual player, and gets u involved. Where as Master League of old may have been good, i just got bored of being stuck with same team. Like u said, any improvements on BAL is just a welcomed bonus.

Exactly. It's meaningless news to Joe Public.

Huge news because everyone thought it would be E3 code, and has been documented as such.

It's massive, because we get to see how it's progressed. Far from being meaningless, makes all the impressions coming from the event meaningful.

Well, no, actually the game would end because you wouldn't have enough money to continue :)

I get your point though, ML for PES 2012 was good, 2011 had issues, 2013 was crap, total crap, 2010 good but crazy. I'd very much like to change the team i'm managing, this would add life to ML and people would continue their seasons for longer.

To you maybe. With all due respect I don't care for other people's impressions, I just want to sample it for myself and make my own mind up. Given the spectacular failure of PES over recent years, I'm sure others feel the same.

No offence.

I agree with u, plus the demo will also be like a headstart to get used to the new controlls and stuff. So far am both excited and nervous:PRAY:

'Game Over', without the words actually appearing on the screen then; yeah I remember now. No sports game should have a 'game over' scenario - I hope that's gone as well! Seems that Konami have made great strides on the pitch; please Konami, don't hamstring it by not making the same strides off the pitch.

Sorry to go back to 'classic ML players' but I was a bit late on that conversation.

where's the love for Ruskin, that pacey Scottish LB in the default players team for PES 6? he was the last default player I kept in my team :D

Improvement list on E3 code is impressive! Can't wait to see what people think, especially those who played it at E3! #PES2014

OH MY DAYS! Sure you have OVR stats, BUT PLAYER HEXAGONS ARE BACK SON!

Adam Bhatti ‏@Adam_Bhatti 11h
New stats system :) I'll get this online tomorrow, as I know community attendees will take time writing that instead of playing! #PES2014

Waiting on the online and ML video today :)
