The AI just tears you apart! Very difficult to play against, if you give them the time and space. You really need to get the hang of defending or the AI will punish you. And the AI of your own teammates is just incredible. They make intelligent runs, giving you options, or just acting as decoys. And all these without even using Teammate Control, or one-two passes. Brilliant.
 
I have had a few times where I've wanted the striker to dart on for a through-ball but instead they wait around for a pass. That might be down to the type of striker though, I guess.
 
Even though my laptop meets the recommended requirements it is still choppy. And v-sync is ruining it for me.

Any settings I need to adjust?

I've maxed out all that AA and AAA whatnot and still not smooth :(

damn, top player mode so difficult, using porto lost 5-1 in my first match against milan and zlatan score 4 goal :CONFUSE:

i cant beat milan except using MU and its only happen once 3-2
with my terrible gameplay,

CPU attacking was so quick, so hard to do a tackling without a foul
and the worse the tackling almost always missed
when they defend they keep the pressure to ALL my teamate, its so difficult to do a through pass

but i like it, it more challenging

I've got to im absolutley loving the demo. I had such high hopes for last years game it just didnt do it for me. This year however its very good. I;ll admit there are a few teething problems ie the goalkeepers but hopefully that will be ironed out in the final build but Im loving the flow to the game this year the gameplay is finally back!
 
Loving the demo.

One minor moan though. After years and years of getting used to the same player stats and their layout/order, Konami have gone and changed it this year, changing the order and even removing some stats. screen below

Just quickly off the top of my head, they've removed shot technique and aggression, maybe more. Wonder what their reasoning was. PSD will not be happy anyway!

Anyway, chose Gattuso because saw some complaints about his low overall, but he is still good at what he's supposed to be good at. 80 will be one of the top defence values for a DM, he has world class tenacity and response and stamina are pretty good. technical and speed skills bad as to be expected.

Also saw some complaints about Rooney and Cavani chasing players into their own penalty areas. Both have the tracking back player card, so the AI is just doing whats it's supposed to, how awfully terrible eh :NO:
 
Ibra is the best player in the game again! He just scores, nothing else.

About defending, I think attackers should back off a little when you are containing them. Instead, they just continue pushing you backward indefinitely!

My last concern is with passing. Lots of my passes end up too short for no apparent reason. I have space, time and a good player but the ball ends up 2m away from him and to the other team after the passer gets locked.
 
How do you shield the ball? I tried holding RT but the CPU just tackled me anyway.
 
Oh dear, I really dont like the fact they have removed Shot Technique, that was a massive statistic, and very noticable. It was also a statistic that I looked to ensure all my creative strikers had. I cant understand why they would take that out, it covers so many bases and really seperates the differing style of striker make-up. :CONFUSE:

cut them some slack, this is an early build. in the final build they may have those stats mate
 
Me cut Konami slack ? That's a first Jonny. :CONFUSE:

Also, there is no-way in a million years a statistic appears in a later build, it's part of the initial mechanics. They have removed it for a reason, I just hope there is an alternate.

Also, ball physics and player awareness of the ball need improving. Sometimes players just keep running forward when the ball is lost!

Manual switching also needs fixing. There is only one player in front of me but because I am a little bit of the left I can't move the RS forward to switch to him. I have to move the RS to the exact angle when there is no point really since there no one else in that area!
 
the old jockey system can still be used. glad i dont have to learn the new system :D

and the teammate control is too difficult, anyone got a grip on this yet?
 
Well, honestly I am a little bit dissapointed. The ball physiscs is still not too good, pass gauge is still too sesnitive, I really cannot feel the analog passing (direction and power - why they cannot do this fully manual, 360 degrees with less sensitive power gauge, as in FIFA), even if pass assistence is set to 0. Off the ball control is really nice addition, but why during free/corner kicks I cannot use through pass, middle cross or ground cross if I choose controlling player by left stick in the area? Why the crosses arent fully manual? In PES2011 it was at least by pressing L2 and cross button. There is still a lot to do. Players release the ball ahead sometimes, sometimes not. I want to decide. Playing is still not so fluid, still rigid. Really cannot understand why the testers was so excited. Surely, it is better than PES2011, but nothing special. That my first thoughts.
 
The demo game settings is showing my GFX card VRAM as 496meg instead of 512meg. My Nvidea card settings show it as 512meg. This is on an 8600GTS.

I hope this is fixed for final release. Having to play on medium settings at the moment, not that it's making any difference to be honest.

I think its still there but under a different name Jim. Like acceleration is now called Explosive power, aggression is ATK awareness, Place kicking replaced FK accuracy and also used to PKs etc.

I think I've had this error before, just Google for the dll and drop it into the relevant folder (Windows\System32 I think?) and it should be fine then.
 
Iv also noticed it alittle more blured and hutters in spots. My PC is fine for every game I play on the higeset setting. Really curious if I'll have to upgrade (which Iv been considering for some time).
 
I have a question dear evoweb members.I play with a certain button configuration and settings for passing/shooting/clearing (as most of you do I'm sure).
I can't seem to be able to save the personal data which a frustrating as I have to do the process after each match.Is there something that I'm not doing ?
 
I'm happy with the Demo.
- I think the graphics look amazing
- I like the new set-up of the stats, but I don't want aggression and shot technique removed. And where has Shot power gone? Is Ball Control the new stat for this??
- did anyone notice how more positions were added for different players? eg. Its got Ambrosini down as being able to pla CB & CF, and its got Zambrotta as being able to play CMF, LWF & RWF
