I read on the Pesfan forum that Pes2011 online seems less laggy with Win XP than Windows 7. Can anyone verify this? Or maybe it's a problem with Windows 7 64?

We have got to find a solution for this because for most people it seems unplayable at the moment.

I had no problems with lag using win7. But I get some lag sometimes on PS3... :|

Are you kidding me??? Please tell me your secret as for me it's a lagfest and I'm considering not playing the game. 32 or 64 bit version? Any interesting setting I should know about?

i am also very worrying, until now i have no play a smooth game online.

the network is very good.
my:

WIN 7 32bit.
CPU:intel core Quad CPU Q8200 2.33GHZ
RAM:4G(3.25G)
Nvdia GTX260

help!!!!!

peeps still have no idea what to do to get a playable pes online its unbelievable, after all this years...

its a lot u can do..

I do everything possible to achieve a relatively lag free game online - had little or no problems with Pes2010. However, Pes2009 was an absolute disaster! Every other online game I've ever played has been as smooth as a baby's bottom. Konami are a joke. Their main selling point of this installement was supposed to be MLO. But hardly anyone has had a good experience with it on PC!

If people want to impart their online knowledge/tricks I'd be very appreciative.

u cant come with the argument that every other game runs good online

we are talkin bout pes and pes needs a few things to run better
period.

I can honestly say that I've never had game-ruining lag on other online games I've owned. I mean, sure it happens sometimes for a split second but you avoid people with a high ping or servers boot people with a high ping. With Pes you have no idea what someone's connection is like - it's all over the place.

If you have pearls of wisdom please give to the rest of us who are suffering in lag hell. We'd really appreciate it.

Hi Guys,

Hmm...i'm running windows 7 32-bit, and I find that it seems to be fine for me. I only seem to get lag with users from China, or thereabouts and occasionally some european players. The odd thing i have noticed about the lag though is that i suffer with the delayed button presses, but my opponent seems to be fine....does seem fishy eh...lol

Generally, i've played guys from turkey, italy, germany and singapore..and the experience was lag free, or with very minimal lag, and i've even played with more than 2 players and it was fine.

My system specs are nothing special:
Windows 7 32-bit
E8400 3.0 Ghz CPU
4 GB Ram
Radeon 4850 Toxic Edition GFX

I've just done my best to ensure that nothing else access the internet at the same time when I wanna PES Online, and i close down all other applications I feel are unneccessary. When it comes to performance degredation, I would usually check up Users on my internal network (traffic, etc), check the LAN cable (make sure its in good shape) and sometimes might even just reboot my router if its been on for too long.

Thanks, if we can all post our online experiences here we can maybe hone in on the problems.

I still have a lot of lag - just started MLO and it's even worse. I get almost constant button lag and slow response time - when the lag hits the game slows down considerably.

Btw, I've tried all of the things 'ImpossibleYesbutitsTrue' has mentioned on another thread. Including DMZ etc..

Specs:

Win 7 64bit
Geforce 8800gt
Intel Q6600 @2.40ghz 2.39ghz
4 gb ram

Prog running:
Zonealarm (with pes allowed and in game mode)
Avast anti virus (with pes exception and in game mode)

Hi,

forget to mention, i only have AVAST Anti Virus running, i am using the Windows Firewall, i have exceptions for PES set on both. If you have zone alarm, ensure your windows firewall is off.

hmmm...you could also go to the Konami online portal and download the connection checker for PES 2011, its supposed to analyse your connection and advise you if its fine, or if there is any limitations...maybe this will help a bit..

http://www.konami.jp/we/online/

only other suggestion i can give you is to try the game with zonealarm switched off and see if it does make a difference?

my post there is defo no timewaster
ur posting here is one

This was ImpossibleYesbutitsTrue's original post - at least he's trying to help!:

first off dont play wlan, good set up wlan is almost on par with lan but its easier w/o

make sure ur comp got a static ip adress from ur router(if u have one)

turn off os firewall and win defender(vista/7)
make exceptions to ur anti virus softwares or try turn them off

play the native resolution of your screen with its native screen refresh rate
no aa or af via nvidia/ati

turn on upnp in router
make a dmz in router, if no option turn off firewall in router(not nat) and make free ports in nat

edit
try around with pre redner frames(0,1,2) and turn off vsync for testing purposes
disable windows aero for the pes-exe

maybe he meant that its a timewaster to try this stuff out coz pes suxx in his opinion
he said somewhere he plays fifa

if this is the case his post was even more a timewaster

go to fifa forum or play fifa then..i wud suggest.. u know..
