PC PES 2011 not running at all

Hey guys, not sure where to post this so il post it ont he discussion thread, so i just came home from the store, i had pre-ordered and got the game, its out in portugal right now

so i got home installed and configured but i cant play... the screens gets all black, i don't even get the leading screen and it just stays there, blackness, i get nothing at all

any advice?
reinstall or something?
updated my drivers and all after it didn't work and it still doesn't work
2010 didn't give me these problms :\

i have the recipe and everything is official, not my fault that konami will release in your country later
release date for europe is 30th guess what today it is, just look at your bottom corner, 9th october uk release
you can check the release date for portugal
you know where potugal is right? in europe
the game is out and i have it i bought it and im pissed off that i cant play

im not getting any error here, just freezes up

i bought it from WORTEN which is a store that belongs to CONTINENTE which is lets say the biggest mall in portugal, i bought loads of other games all official and they all work...

everything says ok on the settings

intel core 2 duo 2.25 ghz
windows xp pro sp3
nvidia 8600 gt 512 vram - 258.25 driver (didn't work with the other one i had before this one which was the 175 or 85 not sure)
4gb ram

i think thats all

I trust you've done the usual stuff, run as admin, reboot game, re-install, install DirectX that comes with the actual game, check refresh rates, settings resolutions etc etc.

Also, had you played the PES 2011 demo before without problems?

i would upgrade that gpu for your comfort im trying to help dont get upset, pes 2011 is in love with the gpu, and its always best to go with the recommended not the minimum, i hate games by the way.
 
gpu never gave me any trouble
no point in upgrading if every game i play is working nicely

most likely ill buy a new comp but not in a near future
i only got pes 2011 cuz i bought with my little brother, we went 50/50

you hate games and yet here you are lol
 
i run xp, if you run windows vista or windows 7 i think you need to run the game as admin oh don't you just hate it when you got the game and it won't run

try to delete/deaktivate the ctfmon.exe from your Taskmanager. it works for me, don't know why but it works :P

I can play full HD on my laptop with GeForce GT 330M, that's hardly a super graphics card. FPS is constant 60 fps, only replays have drop in frame rate. Don't even have to play with frame skipping.
 
please can someone help..PES 2011 PC works fine when first loaded up on factory settings 640x480 but when I try and change the resolution settings and load game back up it just hangs not responding. The only way to get game to play at all after that is to delete the settings folder in my documents then it loads again in 640x480.

the demo worked fine on all settings and I meet all the system requirments..any ideas?

Having the same problem.

Bought the game today, have been able to get the game to launch twice out of about 25 attempts.

Ridiculous.
