PES 2011 Discussion thread

Juventus have been assigned to the Konami Stadium, it kinda resembles the Stadio Olimpico but not entirely.

Woah...Konami Stadium is nothing at all like Juventus current stadium. That's a huge bummer to be honest.
Konami never fails to surprise with such disappointing lack of authenticity.

Has the UK version Brazilian Portuguese language? Or it's gonna be only on US version again!?!

So, will be possible to play online between UK and US version?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I prefer the pressure from FIFA to PES. Having played a few games of FIFA now, I've just put PES on and the CPU sprints after me as soon as I get the ball and that's with me just jogging. Literally sprinting eveytime. Pretty annoying.

can anyone else confirm this?
I think that it's confirmed even by Jon Murphy at his twitter. Someone at WEBlog has mentioned that.

But only in true final version...there are some people with a retail version for reviews.

Quote DagsJT:

DagsJT I understand your point but can you explain a little deeper...? Is it based on the demos only?

Yes, that is annoying. However, sprinting that much after you will cost a huge stamina loss for those players in the later part of the match.

Anyway, my main objective in every football games right now is online, not offline. I can't stand CPUs much these days

Based on both full games. On FIFA, the players stand off you and will actually stop at times and just cover the passing lanes. I'm not seeing that on PES and the CPU sprints at me everytime I've got the ball.

The only time I'm really getting time on the ball in PES is when enough players have sprinted at me, and I've had to quickly pass it around, that the CPU is out of position and I'm left with an empty part of the pitch. At no point really have I noticed the CPU just standing off and expecting you to break them down.

Tested against various teams to make sure it's not tactics.

The jogging down the sidelines bug without being pressured bug has gone from the final game, tested on top player with Bayern and Barca, thought it best to try the same teams as the demo, it even cost me 2 goals!

Please tsti on Professional level...
Cheers

I will try later but I am playing professional level on Master League as Everton and getting results is hard, currently at 8 wins, 8 draws and 5 losses, it might be me being crap but it is very hard to get results.

Would agree with this, definately harder and I'm happy when I manage to just get a shot now

I need to increase the match time, 10 min matches just aren't long enough to knock the ball around and create chances.

Thoroughly enjoying PES :D

Have you tried different difficulty levels? I'd expect the cpu to press you harder on the hardest levels, but on lower levels, to stand off more.

15 minute games on PES is the only way for me Dags. For replicating all the instances of a true 90 minute real-life game, its's a must. The game itself feels alot more balanced and realistic as well, nothing is rushed. Perfect, give it a whirl, its like playing a different game.

Thanks for all the feedback as well, much appreciated. :)

That option file is looking very good indeed. If I'm playing with a full set of proper kits & teams on launch night I may end up a gibbering mess.

Playing on Professional, and the difficulty's just right for me. Losing games, winning games, both teams having the ball.

Just started a 15 min game as South Africa v Australia, much better and no pressure to charge forward because the clock is counting down :)

Dags thanks a lot for the info and your impressions but just still curious about your copy, you think that it's acually a 'review' copy like the one Adam was using and the one games freviewers have?

I hear you have a Spanish version! I'd advise you to still get the UK one to see if it's exactly the same as the one you have now!

That could explain why you can't assign the stadiums or why were getting conflicting reports over the 'Green Zone'!

 there was some dude here doing 25 minute matches :CONFUSE: !

I mean that's great but you will never get through a season! :CONFUSE:

Sounds good. I was concerned the game would be too easy.

It sounds like they have tweaked the hidden aggression behind the scenes.

I'll upload all the chants I currently have as well. I have all the EPL and Coca Cola teams as well as the best of Europe, all ready to easily import straight into the game. :)

Klashman, I've thinking that I might have a review copy to be honest. The green zone bug is in this, the stadium situation is just baffling and surely isn't right, and the rosters are a mess with it including some transfers but not others.

Played pro evo 11 demo and noticed a killer bug! It is far too easy to score from crosses! The defence simply stand off letting you cross it every time runnin at normal speed?

WTF?

Ever thought of licensing issues? You think Konami won't get all the licenses if they could? They've got you quite a few leagues, plus the Champs League, Europa League, Super Cup, and Copa Libertadores. It ain't as easy as you think.

Awesome, thanks in advance. There's something special about that feeling you get when you've edited the latest to PES to perfection. Haven't done it since PES6.

Wow, really, have you noticed such a bug? It's not as if the last ten pages people moan about that bug, no, you are the first, congratulations.

News has come in from Darthkebab that that bug is not existent in the final version.

Hang on though, the bug I was on about was where you can run up and down the pitch next to the line without being pressured, that is fixed.

The defender stopping short of the goal line allowing you to cross in is still there and Jon is fully aware of it.

That's what I'm thinking mate, review copies are basically the full game but centered around short term playing. So stuff like master league, editing etc.. won't really have been refined! It should be like almost a full game demo!

Yes, your right the stadium issue makes NO sense whatsoever at all!

John Murphy and others who have confirmed it's not in the full game, I think if it was in the final game John would either stay quiet or say that there was a patch on the way

Also the rosters being a mess is another big sign for me, i bet the transfers are inconsistent also :)) with some recent ones being in place but shit like Henry being in Barca still there

Ah, ok, thanks for the clarification, I thought you meant both.

So just to be clear now really:

Can you jog (not run, jog) at the right side and the single defender won't stop you after the halfline in your final version?
From about the halfline until the cornerline. That's what is possible in the demo, while jogging a single defender won't stop me on the sideline until I reach the cornerline... and there I can take my time to make a cross as I see fit.

So if it's not possible to jog at the sideline until cornerline, then at least one half of the problem is solved, with the corner-line-crossing-time still not solved.
