PES 2011 Discussion thread

Ok, so how does relate to you though? Do you buy games based on someone saying "omgz itz teh bestz evarzz11!11!"? Or do you try demos and make up your own mind? A game might be the shiznit to that someone but horrible for someone else. It's different tastes.

Exactly. The demos are out, the full titles will follow in the coming weeks. Everyone can make their own minds up. If you've given it a good go and it's not for you then that's fine. Similarly if for you the game is 'perfect' then great. Don't feel inclined to change your opinion solely because somebody's saying 'ffs what's wrong with you' or claiming to know more than you. Make up your own minds, feel free to discuss it openly, but don't letanyone throw nonsense accusations about you not knowing anything about football or football games, or tell you what you should like. That goes for both sides of the fence.

i have another question, can i get a gaming laptop which will support pes 11 comfortably/run smoothly and have fair bit of memory for like £500?

If thats your budget and you don't mind building one, you can get pretty kick ass pc and ball stomping lcd moniter for that price.

As for laptops then yeah you would get one more than capable of running pes at full power but i'd much reccomend getting a pc and lcd monitor for that price :D

I know when the tied has turned and when a site isnt truly pro anymore, its bye bye from me to.What a real shame people cant see the wood through the trees and think fifa is representitive of this sport.

Shit, talk about corporate colonisation of the unconcious,i knew the ea magic pixy dust would get to you all in the end....well not all,and thanks lami your one of the best mods of experienced on any site and a top bloke.

Rom,i know weve had are differences but your a real diamond as is jamenzino and co.

Regards and farewell.

Another one bites the dust, and for what? stating his opinion or maybe because he was pro konami. Yet another bloke who could be arsed to type more than a few lines to get is point across.(insert facepalm.

You'd think if people were to leave it'd of been the past few years when plenty of people didn't actually like PES at all :D

i already have a tower set up mate which i connect to my tv, just was curious if it was possible as the laptop i could take it anywhere and play it really, where a pc is a bit of hassle carrying around :P
i could spend more than that, i just was hoping could get good one for that

But it's curious that those leaving are those who said things like PES is "perfect" and refused to concede flaws exist. How can you have open dialog when there are those that refuse to keep an open mind or admit that they neither know everything (about football, video games, whatever) nor are representative of everyone else's interests?

I'm not saying good riddance by any means, but there seems to be a little self-grandiosity going on here, as well as a mentality that "it's my way or the highway," literally.

Personally, after spending a lot of time on the official FIFA forums these last couple years, I find evo-web down-right refreshing. On the whole it is far more mature, intellectual, and fair, while the moderators do a quality job of ensuring conversations don't spiral into flame fests or veer far off topic.

I appreciate evo-web for it being a forum for various opinions and ideas, and a place that does not promote one extreme over another. If your idea of "home" is where no one disagrees with you, where you can be secure in knowing that your own inflexible beliefs won't be challenged, then from what I've seen in my short time visiting evo-web, these forums (and most of the internet) aren't for you.

I can only speak for myself, but in a fairly short time evo-web has become one of my more favorite places online. Cheers.

im not even sure if this is the right forum, and i dont mean to high jack the original poster, anyway......i just need a tower, around £400, pre built if possible?

if i was gonna build it myself, what components would i need in there?

Had a good look at that Stadium Editor. Good lord, the hours that thing will steal from my life. I can only hope there's a decent WHL possible from the available parts.

Making a folder of PES-music replacements tonight in advance as most of the default stuff will no doubt be noose-enducing tripe. Thinking of Hybrid for the main menu, some crazier sounds for the different modes. Pendulum? Bit of Guyver? Old-school BK??!! Don't mind it.

Does anyone know if you can add a track for the cut-scene where the teams are walking out from the tunnel? I've got the theme from Dallas ready and waiting.

Jimmy isn't leaving because people are negative about PES. I asked him and it was something else.

Dunno why Expander is leaving tbh. He was being far too zealous and one-sided, to the point where people simply had to say something. People who disagreed with him would be accused of not knowing what they were talking about, beating them about the face with his history and literally using the 'you don't know anything about football' line against people who have been lobbying to make FIFA a more authentic representation of the sport. It's probably for the best he at least takes some time off and gets some perspective as it was getting a bit car crashy.

are u guys getting PES2011 or WE2011? and regarding the stadium editor, would it be possible to download stadiums made by the community for ps3? what do you guys think?

Awesome news about the jogging bug being fixed on the retail version. If this is true ,this just means Konami actually does their testing job, and does it well. Those who thought otherwise, were of course, unfair.

The fact that the demo is "representative" of the final game, doesn't mean the same bugs and niggles will be there.

I haven't read a post in here for ages but man is FIFA so shit this year that they are all in here starting to tear apart PES because it is simply better than FIFA this year and because FIFA is a pick up and play game with no depth but easy to tap buttons such as :x: :x: :x: :x: :l1:+:triangle: :square: GOAL!!

Exactly how ISS used to play, scripted taps and go with defenders unable to stop a 1-2

And of course we'll hear the "I was a hardcore ISS/PES up to 5"

Change the record please.

FIFA is a sugar coated PES with liscenses and always will be!

My view exactly.

Hmm, too bad about Jimmy then. I didn't always agree with him but I don't think anyone can deny he was a FANTASTIC source for info and help, and his experience will surely be missed.

Seems to me that somewhere along the lines there was a failure in communication, with some saying the demo was the final code and others saying it was "based" or "representative" of the final code.

There's seems to be so much riding on this year's PES that people should probably be forgiven for freaking out about some things. Now instead of arguing whether this or that ruins the game, we now have a week to debate what will and won't get fixed/tweaked for the final version!

I don't think that Jon Murphy ever said it was final code, he said it was based on final code. There's a difference there.

Tbh, we know not much is being tweaked, but obvious/revealing bugs like this are obviously bound to be fixed.

The one where players can jog down in a straight line and not get tackled most of the time. Jon Murphy, fresh from filming the next Die Hard, has assured followers on Twitter that the CPU players suffering from haphophobia were treated before the game was fully completed.

Oh cmon, they aren't that alike :P

What is happening here??? I know there may be a few isssues with various points or people, but this site has given me the opportunity to mod my beloved pc (thanks to you) when nobody else would help.

For that I am very grateful and we need some balance...........Evoweb is still a great place to talk about footy games and share opinions etc, so let's not forget that.

Andy WTF happened with Northampton:P

Do u know how many audio files we can insert in PES 2011? Its my first console PES. I heared we just could link like 64 audio files to the last PES.
