if i can manage to get hold/play the beta, i'll post it mate, i didnt hate pes 2010 that much, become a legend was an addictive mode on itself, but hope to get back to you on the question if possible
 
Played 10 games or so. The connection is quite good for the beta ver, I think in the final code there will be only improvements so it IS a a big win for us (and konami) . The connetction in pes 10 was good approximately in 6 matches from 10 , so here the situation is going to be much better, methinks.

About the game itself. I want to use only 3 words to depict my feelings:

SO MUCH WIN.

Jon M is already aware of it as he specifically mentioned the lack of it at the community day. He said it's not in this year's and the impression I got is that it might make a comeback next year.

I had been really excited about the Pro-Evo videos I had seen and was thinking that I would most likely purchase a Pro-Evo game again.... until I saw this video, might be the worst thing I've ever seen in a footie game. Does anyone know if they are committed to fixing this? If anything pro-evo has always been committed to keeping this type of crap out of their games and having error on tricks (one of the biggest problems I have with FIFA is the trick system) but now in the year where they are sorting out everything, this happens? Hope this only exists because it's a Beta....

Tbh I always thought it's a pretty simple task to do, like it's been locked and just need unlocking. The guys in the PC section can easily unlock it, that's where I got this impression from.

Han why you hurt my feelings south african games come from the UK so I fall in the EU region. Don't be bitter dude the demo will be out soon. Hell the game will too so be patient.

has the PS3/xbox been able to unlock the file to play with CPU teams offline then? certainly a bummer as my mates always play long leagues together and it's a whole lot of fun.

Great game, very well played, your football was perfectly simple and simply perfect, lovely to watch, very patient on the ball and an excellent brain. Outplayed me good and proper, impressive stuff. Looking forward to redemption. :)

What the hell are the defenders doing anyway?

Don't get me wrong, this shouldn't be so easy. In fact, they shouldn't have touched tricks at all. This is way too exploitable. But I mean, I doubt that this lammer exploiter would do anything like this against me, or anyone here tbh. He would be on the ground after the first flick.

Can we please stop with the Rainbowflick Discussion?

Its in the Game and you dont have to use it if you dont want to, you Guys always want something realistic and these Tricks can and are being done in Reallife Football so be happy that they are in the Game. There will always be People in Videogames who are abusing Things, on Shooters its certain Weapons and now its a Trick. Saying thats unstoppable is just Bullshit, you can stop it. Look at the Video, the Tackles are all wrong timed.

As most People will play mainly Offline its not a big Deal anyway, CPU never abuses anything and if your Mates do against you get rid of them.

Dude this is pathetic! I will say that the most People will play multi-player ,online or not ,of course with all this new online and offline stuff !
It's look to be big problem form online and multi-player matches . Yeah you can don't use it in the game but in the online mode , all around will jumping like that only to score much goals , that is Ridiculous and that is the biggest fear most of all PES fans. So if they want to talk about that , they will ;) So :TTTH:
 
Rainbow flicks or not. This game has consumed my life. It is ridiculous how I will sit in meetings at work wondering who I should sign when I get home and what tactics I should use against 3 strikers which is again a thing of the past as I have bought better SBs as opposed to using CBs as SBs who have it as a secondary position. Sure the kids manage one or two sideline - goaline - square tricks but it is getting harder for them now.

This game is ridiculosuly good. You can't just pass, pass, pass and shoot as you could before but that doesn't mean it's not there. If you had a midfield quartet of Dodo, ximelez, Espimas and Minanda, it's going to be hard. If it were Essien, Gerrard, Xavi and Iniesta then you could easier depending on your ability and your opponents.

Another awesome thing is the way a ball goes astray in midfield and immediately a dog fight or chase is on with both players sprinting to get control of the ball leading to a last minute lunge/toe poke to get it to a team mate, which again is not guaranteed. I have found that I will chase a ball down touch it ahead of my opposition and lose it as I didn't direct my touch. Better option would be to leave the ball and let him have it but place myself in a position to get it off him.

Fuck this game can't come soon enough, also the goalkeepers are susceptible to a few bugs but they can keep you in a game. Lastnight in coach mode my strikers came up against a keeper (can't remember who) that's manage to save 4 consecutive kicks from point blank range I was going nuts. I think we have been a little hard on Lothar, Ivarov and Zamenhof to expect them to be perfect is crazy. Now as players have acquired better keepers the blunders are less and the saves are more.
 
for me beta is too much similar to pes2010 what makes me sure that it will be ,,another year'' with pes5(ML) or fifa11(Online/1vs1).
 
You taking the piss right? PES is so far from PES1-2010. Are you basing your decision on videos? Or have you played the beta? Then again nevermind enjoy PES 5 pal lmao.

Who's your left back? Any good? I had Santon for £3.6m but his form rating was 4 an I dont really have the squad to cover for someone who's inconsistent.

I signed Marco Rossi last week as a right back but have moved him to the left; he's a snip at about £2m or so. Very good attack and defence ability for someone at that price - 73 and 71 I think. He's offensively minded which has led to him popping up in the box on occasion. Can be annoying when you want him to stay back!
 
some of the passing animations seen in the vids look pretty damn raw.
Some of them even unrealistic. Hope the demo is real good.
I stopped buying pes afer the '08 edition.
Have been playing pes6 pc version fully patched.
I even ended up buying the fifa world cup game. Not a bad game but it never gave me the good old pes feeling.
I do think that fifa's animations look so much better and fluid.

I know i know, its gameplay what matters and i agree. But wrong animations, even those ugly nets take away from the total experience.
 
Unless you have played it, you should save your judgement til then, it is nothinglike PES10. Even the replays look superb and not shakey and shite as in PES10. Wait until you see the backspin on the ball it is so realistic. The only problem i will have this year is playing 2 good football titles..Nice problems to have for me. Jimmy 0-0 our game was. Oh and the tackles are 1970's x-rated..Brilliant.As for the rainbow flick, that's the only piece of bullshit in it for me. Also too many players with squads full of superstars a bit too much like ultimate team for me. Espimas,Huyens,& Vallery grinding out the odd win is what i will do.

it's simply a bug or something, how on earth would you be able to do that trick 4 times in a row please, without the ball even touching the ground??
It's simply disgusting...what the hell did they think...
 
I have resorted to the trustee hack down trick when i come ascross a jeffery or zippy-Bungle rainbow boy. I have done quite well 2 red cards in one game.:P
