So I have these annoying slowdowns when i'm playing, especially when i come near the box. It's really weird because normally i should be able to play this game without any problems but now i'm playing 800x600 resolution and medium detail and i'm still have these slowdowns. These are my specs:

CPU Type: Intel Pentium 4, 3000 MHz (15 x 200)
Motherboard Name: Epox EP-4PDA5+ (5 PCI, 1 AGP, 4 DDR DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN)
Motherboard Chipset: Intel Springdale i865PE
System Memory: 1024 MB (PC2700 DDR SDRAM)
Video Adapter: RADEON X1600 Series Secondary (512 MB)
3D Accelerator: ATI Radeon X1600 Pro (RV530)

So what do you think could be the problem?

Grtz

Your graphics card is extreamly poor. Check for the latest drivers.

ATI Radeon X1600 Pro is extreamly poor ?
i have radeon X800 GTO and no probs
did we have to buy each month a new card ?

man, we should wait to the final release, im sure that in-game slowdowns will be fixed, no that sure about the replay ones...

ive read somewhere that the pes 6 demo had slowdowns, and then they were removed for the final release, so lets have faith. :)

try to aktivate frame skipping in the settings.exe

I have the "frame skipping" and "wait for vsync" boxes checked because it's even worse when I don't check them. I've done i little research myself and I think the problem might be that i don't have vsync on on my graphics card and I have no clue how to turn it on :-k Anyone?

Have u got the newest ATI Catalyst Driver for your card?
Should be 7.9.

There you go: start Catalyst by right click on your desktop and choose Ati Catalyst Controlcenter.
If it is the first time you open it then push advanced an so on until you're in the mainscreen of Catalyst.

If its not the first time you just can activate advanced mode by clicking on view and then push the advanced button.

If you got this, you'll get a list on the left side with many points...one is 3D click on it!
The 3D point should open now and show all his values...there you have to push All Settings and scroll a bit down on the ride side of the window until you see the point where it is written wait for vertical refresh.

And there's the point you have to move the bar until its on "always on".

Apply everything you've done and have fun playing pes 2008.

@linkin: v-sync synchronisizes the Hz numbre of the Graphicapplication like a game and your Screen/Monitor in somegames it's helpfull in others like Counterstrike it's bullsh*t because it locks your frames on the numbre of your screen frequence e.g. you've got 60Hz freq and you'll get only 60 fps ingame... which makes the game not that smooth like with 100 fps.

Thx mate I found it :D Only 1 thing, the version i'm using is v6.2 instead of v7.9 . I tried to install 7.9 earlier today but when I installed it I had to reboot my pc and then the screen went black and stayed black. http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=xp/radeonx-xp That's the one I downloaded so I asume it's the right one for my Ati Radeon x1600 gc?
